Mortal Flames, Eternal Change is CookieRun: Kingdom’s v7.9 story chapter, launched September 23, 2026. It adds Episode 11, Flames that Devour the Ages, new Cookies Rajapendra Cookie of Mortality and Mogra Cookie, and the Kingdom Eras progression feature. Episode 11 can be entered without clearing earlier episodes. An October 7 notice later introduced Episode 12, A Sun That Shines Eternal, with a second combat effect, Flame of Mortality.
What is Mortal Flames, Eternal Change?
It is the Timeline of Fate chapter featured in CookieRun: Kingdom version 7.9. In the story, Golden Cheese Cookie journeys into the Spice Civilization’s past and uncovers Burning Spice Cookie’s hidden story. The official trailer describes her entering Burning Spice Cookie’s memories to restore a kingdom shattered by war; that is promotional story framing, not an independent assessment of the update.
The September 23 launch notice introduced Episode 11, Flames that Devour the Ages, and said Episode 12 would follow in a later update. On October 7, Devsisters announced Episode 12, A Sun That Shines Eternal, continuing Golden Cheese Cookie’s confrontation with Burning Spice Cookie’s past. The notices establish that both episodes are part of the chapter; they do not provide a universal team ranking or performance comparison.
How do you unlock Episode 11?
According to the September 23 launch notice, you can play Episode 11 without clearing previous episodes. The notice does not specify additional unlock requirements, so check the in-game Timeline of Fate screen for the current entry point and any account-specific prompts.

How do the Episode 11 and Episode 12 effects work?
The episodes use distinct combat effects. Episode 11’s Flame of Annihilation builds stacks on enemies; Episode 12’s Flame of Mortality builds stacks of DMG Dampening. Both affect attacks and interact with the Seed of Change tactical skill, but their consequences differ.

What does Seed of Change do?
Seed of Change is a tactical skill that clears the listed Flame of Annihilation or Flame of Mortality debuffs from allies and restores HP. In Episode 11, its charge condition is tied to enemy effect stacks expiring or enemies becoming incapacitated; the launch notice says Mogra on the team significantly increases its charge rate. In Episode 12, the notice says it charges when all stacks on an enemy expire or an enemy becomes incapacitated.

Rajapendra is a Beast Charge Cookie, called the Cookie of Destruction in the launch notice. His skill, Fire Centipede, builds power, damages nearby enemies, and grants allies Rampaging Power before summoning a Fire Centipede to attack all enemies. The centipede inflicts Burn and continuing damage, burrows to deal heavy damage, and applies Brand of Mortality to enemy Cookies, including untargetable ones.

At battle start, Rajapendra gains Rampage of Change and applies Spice of Mortality to the front-row Cookie with the highest Max HP. The notice says this debuff remains until that Cookie is defeated. It does not give a complete build guide or establish how he performs relative to other Cookies.
What is Mogra Cookie’s role?
Mogra is an Epic Healing Cookie. The episode notices describe increased ATK and DMG Dampening for her under the specified episode effects; the Episode 11 notice characterizes these increases as great. The notices do not provide a complete build recommendation or enough numerical detail to support exact stat targets. For current skill values, use Mogra’s in-game skill panel.

Kingdom Eras
Kingdom Eras is a progression feature with five eras: Era of Dawn, Era of Pioneers, Era of Prosperity, Era of Inquiry, and Era of Wonders. The launch notice says players collect Light of Eras from Kingdom quests to earn level rewards, then use a Conclusion Task to end an era.
