Use one of two Beaver Builder AI workflows to turn a Lovable page into editable WordPress content: import a Beaver Builder Design Kit when a fast, close recreation is enough, or connect an MCP-capable agent when you want the agent to inspect the published page and rebuild it more closely. Neither route guarantees literal pixel-level parity. The visual result still depends on the source page, available assets, the destination theme, the agent, and your review.

Choose the workflow before you start

The practical decision is simple. A Design Kit is the quicker, more controlled handoff: the design is packaged as a Beaver Builder kit, uploaded as a ZIP, and imported into WordPress. It is suited to an editable near-match when speed matters. The MCP route gives an agent access to the WordPress site and asks it to inspect the live Lovable page, then create and adjust native Beaver Builder content. Beaver Builder’s tutorial presents this as the route for a closer visual recreation.

Those descriptions are vendor workflow guidance, not independent fidelity tests. “Pixel-perfect” is an aspiration in the tutorial’s wording, not a result that Beaver Builder or an agent guarantees. Plan for a visual comparison and manual corrections after either import.

Decision axis Design Kit MCP-connected agent
How it works An AI coding agent authors files in Beaver Builder’s kit format; WordPress imports the ZIP. An MCP-connected agent works on the WordPress site and can inspect the published Lovable page in a browser.
Best fit A fast, editable recreation that is close to the source design. A closer visual rebuild when you can authorize an agent and review its changes.
What becomes editable Imported pages, the kit’s design system, optional global header and footer, and supported local images. Native Beaver Builder rows, columns, modules, design-system settings, and other editable page content.
Main review task Check the kit contents, selected pages and globals, assets, typography, and links before importing. Confirm the connection and requested actions, then compare the rebuilt page with the Lovable page at each responsive size.

Requirements and preparation

Requirements for the MCP tutorial workflow

The Beaver Builder tutorial lists these setup conditions for its MCP walkthrough. Labels and settings can change, so verify the current screens in your installation before following an exact path.

  • A WordPress site served over HTTPS.
  • An active Beaver Builder license.
  • Beaver Builder AI, Page Builder, Themer, the MCP adapter, and a Beaver Builder theme as listed in the tutorial’s prerequisites.
  • The MCP adapter enabled and configured.
  • WordPress permalinks set to Post name.
  • Authorization completed for the MCP connection, with the MCP URL copied for the agent.
  • The published Lovable page URL that the agent will inspect.
  • An MCP-capable AI agent with browser access, plus permission to perform the Beaver Builder actions it requests.

Use a staging site or a current backup before granting an agent write access. The tutorial’s sequence is vendor guidance; different MCP clients may expose different authorization prompts or action names.

Preparation for either route

  • Keep the Lovable page published and reachable at a stable URL while you work.
  • Collect the intended page list, navigation labels, logo files, fonts, icons, and images. A design transfer is easier to audit when you know which assets are supposed to appear.
  • Decide whether the destination should use the existing WordPress theme’s header, footer, typography, and color defaults or a kit’s global settings.
  • Work on staging if the site has visitors, forms, subscriptions, or commerce. Rebuilding a page can affect templates, menus, scripts, and global styles.

Route 1: convert the Lovable page with a Beaver Builder Design Kit

A Design Kit is a local folder containing a design system, page files, and optional global header and footer files. Beaver Builder’s documented process is to download a blank or starter kit, have an agent author the kit files, ZIP the completed folder, and import that ZIP from WordPress.

1. Download a blank or starter kit

From the WordPress admin, download the blank or starter kit supplied for the Design Kit workflow. Keep the entire folder intact. The kit includes instructions and a machine-readable format contract so the authoring agent knows the expected structure. It is not a promise that arbitrary Lovable source code can be dropped into WordPress unchanged.

2. Give the kit and source design to an authoring agent

Provide the agent with the downloaded kit folder and the Lovable design brief or source. Ask it to follow the kit instructions and format contract rather than inventing a new folder structure. The agent’s job is to write the design-system CSS and page files in the format the importer expects. If the project needs them, it can also create global header and footer files and place local images in the kit’s assets/ folder.

Be explicit about the pages to create, desktop and mobile behavior, content hierarchy, button states, form states, spacing, and which elements are decorative rather than functional. The kit is a packaging format; it does not automatically infer every interaction or backend behavior from a visual design.

3. Check the folder before compression

Open the completed folder and verify that the design system and each requested page are present. Confirm that optional global files are where the kit instructions expect them and that local assets use supported formats. Beaver Builder’s kit importer supports JPG, PNG, GIF, and WebP files in the assets/ folder. Remove accidental exports, duplicate drafts, and files the agent created outside the format contract.

4. ZIP the kit

Compress the kit folder into a ZIP file without adding an extra parent directory that changes the expected structure. Preserve the filenames and relative paths used by the generated pages. A malformed archive can cause missing pages, styles, or assets even when the source files look correct on your computer.

5. Upload and inspect the import

  1. In WordPress, open Beaver Builder > Design Systems > Import a Kit.
  2. Select the ZIP file and start the upload.
  3. Read the import review screen rather than accepting every item automatically.
  4. Inspect the pages, design-system settings, and any global header or footer presented for import.
  5. Choose only the pages and globals you intend to add or replace, then confirm the import.

The importer can add supported kit images to the WordPress media library and update their references when it imports the pages. Review the import summary for skipped or failed files. A successful page import does not prove that every image, font, icon, or interaction from Lovable is present.

6. Open the imported page in Beaver Builder

Open each imported page in Beaver Builder and inspect the actual modules, rows, columns, styles, and responsive settings. Replace placeholders, connect forms to real destinations, and verify that the page uses the intended header and footer. Save changes on staging first, then publish only after the checks in the validation section are complete.

Route 2: rebuild the Lovable page through the Beaver Builder MCP adapter

The MCP route treats the Lovable page as a live visual reference. In the tutorial, an agent with browser access opens the published Lovable URL, uses screenshots or browser inspection to compare its work, and operates Beaver Builder through the authorized MCP connection.

1. Enable the adapter and confirm the site settings

  1. Confirm that the WordPress site uses HTTPS.
  2. Verify that the Beaver Builder license is active.
  3. Enable and configure the Beaver Builder MCP adapter.
  4. Open the WordPress permalink settings and select Post name, then save the setting.
  5. Authorize the MCP connection and copy the MCP URL supplied by the site.

Keep the MCP URL private. Treat it as a connection credential and avoid placing it in public prompts, tickets, screenshots, or source-control files.

Special offer. See more information about Outbyte and uninstall instructions. Please review EULA and Privacy policy.

2. Give the agent a precise build brief

Provide the published Lovable URL, the target WordPress page, the intended page title and slug, and any constraints such as “use the existing site header” or “do not alter global typography.” Ask the agent to inspect the reference before editing and to explain each requested WordPress action. A useful brief distinguishes visual requirements from behavior: for example, a hero image may need only to look correct, while a newsletter form must submit to a real endpoint.

3. Approve requested WordPress actions deliberately

The agent may ask to create a page, add rows and columns, insert modules, modify design-system settings, or update existing content. Approve only actions that match the target page and staging plan. If it proposes changing a global header, footer, theme setting, or reusable template, pause and decide whether that change belongs on this page or should be isolated.

4. Let the agent build native Beaver Builder content

Beaver Builder AI documentation describes MCP agents as able to create and edit pages, build native Beaver Builder rows, columns, and modules, and manage design systems. Native modules are preferable to a single opaque image or an uneditable block because you can later change text, spacing, colors, responsive behavior, and structure inside WordPress.

The tutorial describes the agent checking its work with browser screenshots against the Lovable page and characterizes the result as close to pixel-perfect. Treat that as the tutorial author’s description. It is not an independently measured guarantee, and browser comparison is not automatically available or identical in every MCP client.

Special offer. See more information about Outbyte and uninstall instructions. Please review EULA and Privacy policy.

5. Compare the rebuilt page at multiple viewport sizes

Compare the page at the same desktop and mobile widths represented by the Lovable design. Check the first viewport before scrolling, then the full page, navigation states, content wrapping, image crops, and vertical spacing. Ask the agent for targeted corrections instead of a broad “make it closer” request; identify the section, property, and desired outcome.

What Beaver Builder AI makes editable

Beaver Builder’s product documentation says AI-generated layouts become editable WordPress content rather than a static export. Its documented capabilities include three relevant paths:

  • Generated blocks containing HTML, scoped CSS, and optional JavaScript.
  • Native Beaver Builder rows, columns, and modules created or edited through MCP.
  • Design Kit import, which brings in the kit’s design system and selected pages.

“Editable” does not mean “fully connected.” A visual button can still point to the wrong URL, a form can still lack a submission service, and a decorative animation can still need a separate implementation. Editability gives you a WordPress structure to work on; it does not replace content, accessibility, analytics, or integration review.

Post-rebuild validation checklist

Layout and responsive behavior

  • Check desktop, tablet, and phone widths rather than relying on a single screenshot.
  • Look for overflow, clipped text, unexpected horizontal scrolling, and columns that collapse in the wrong order.
  • Test long headings, translated-length text, missing images, and narrow screens.
  • Confirm hover, focus, open, closed, and error states for interactive controls.

Global styling and theme interactions

  • Confirm that the intended fonts load and that fallback fonts do not change line breaks.
  • Compare color values, contrast, borders, radii, shadows, and spacing with the source design.
  • Check whether the destination theme has overridden defaults for fonts, colors, buttons, links, or headings.
  • Inspect headers, footers, menus, reusable parts, and template assignments separately from the page body.

Media and content

  • Open every image and confirm the crop, resolution, alt text, and loading behavior.
  • Check the WordPress media library for imported kit assets and investigate any skipped or failed files in the import summary.
  • Verify logos, icons, video posters, background images, and decorative assets at each breakpoint.
  • Compare text, capitalization, punctuation, and content order with the published Lovable page.

Links, forms, accessibility, and SEO

  • Click internal and external links, navigation items, buttons, and calls to action.
  • Submit forms in success and error conditions and confirm where the data goes.
  • Use keyboard navigation, visible focus, sensible heading order, labels, alt text, and adequate color contrast.
  • Check the page title, meta description, canonical behavior, indexability, structured data, and social preview in the SEO tools used by the site.
  • Review console errors, broken requests, and third-party scripts before moving from staging to production.

Common problems and how to correct them

The imported kit contains pages but the design looks wrong

First check whether the destination theme is supplying different default fonts and colors. Then inspect the kit’s design-system CSS and global files, followed by page-level overrides. A kit can import correctly while still inheriting theme settings that alter typography, spacing, or buttons. Decide whether to align the kit to the theme or intentionally override the theme for the imported design.

Images are missing after a Design Kit import

Confirm that the files were inside the kit’s assets/ folder and used JPG, PNG, GIF, or WebP. Read the importer’s skipped or failed-file summary, then check the media library and the page’s image references. Do not assume that a successful page import means every asset was accepted.

The MCP agent changes more than the target page

Stop approving broad actions and ask the agent to limit edits to the named page and its local modules. Review proposed changes to global headers, footers, reusable templates, and design-system settings separately. Restore the staging backup if an unintended global change has already been saved.

The page is visually close but not identical

Use a fixed comparison sequence: viewport width, header, hero, section spacing, typography, media crop, controls, and footer. Report one discrepancy at a time with a measurable direction, such as reducing a section’s top padding or matching a heading’s maximum width. Pixel-level parity can be affected by fonts, browser rendering, image compression, theme styles, and content length even when the structure is correct.

The agent cannot connect

Recheck HTTPS, the active Beaver Builder license, adapter status, authorization, MCP URL, and the Post name permalink setting. Confirm that the agent supports the MCP connection method and that the WordPress user has the permissions required for the requested actions. Because these requirements are version-sensitive, compare your screens with the current Beaver Builder documentation rather than assuming an older setup guide still matches.

Do not confuse a page rebuild with a whole-site migration

A Design Kit or MCP rebuild addresses editable page content. It is not a complete domain-to-domain WordPress migration. Beaver Builder’s export/import guidance warns that template transfers do not carry images and icons, the destination theme controls default fonts and colors, and links are not rewritten automatically.

If you are moving an existing WordPress site between domains or hosts, use the vendor’s site-migration procedure or a migration plugin designed for that job. After a migration, still verify serialized settings, media URLs, redirects, forms, menus, and search-engine indexing. Importing a page template is not a substitute for moving the database, uploads, configuration, and domain references safely.

Lovable’s WordPress.com connector is a different architecture

Lovable also documents a WordPress.com connector that lets a Lovable app fetch and manage content through WordPress.com as a headless CMS. That approach keeps Lovable as the frontend and WordPress.com as the content system. It is not the same as importing a Beaver Builder Design Kit or rebuilding a page through the Beaver Builder MCP adapter.

Lovable states that self-hosted WordPress uses a different connector path. Choose the headless connector when your goal is to keep the Lovable frontend and use WordPress for content; choose a Design Kit or MCP rebuild when your goal is an editable Beaver Builder page inside a WordPress site.

A practical decision rule

  1. Choose a Design Kit if you need a repeatable ZIP import, want to review files before WordPress changes, and can accept a close recreation that you will polish in Beaver Builder.
  2. Choose MCP if the published Lovable page is the visual reference, you can provide HTTPS and an authorized adapter, and you want an agent to inspect the page while creating native Beaver Builder content.
  3. Choose a headless WordPress.com connection only when you want Lovable to remain the frontend and WordPress.com to supply content, not when you are trying to recreate the page inside Beaver Builder.

Whichever route you select, keep the source page available, work on staging, review every generated or imported element, and treat the final comparison as a human approval step. The result you publish should be a maintainable WordPress page, not merely a screenshot that resembles the Lovable design.
