To connect a Bluetooth-capable Logitech Slim mouse to a Mac, switch on the mouse, put it in pairing mode, then choose it in the Mac’s Bluetooth settings and follow any prompts. The exact pairing control—and whether your particular Slim mouse supports Bluetooth at all—depends on its model.
Pair a Bluetooth Logitech Slim mouse with your Mac
- Turn on the mouse. Check that it has enough charge or working batteries.
- Put it in pairing mode. On many Logitech devices, you hold the Connect button until the status light flashes rapidly. The control and sequence can differ by model; consult the Logitech Bluetooth pairing instructions if your mouse’s controls do not match.
- Open Bluetooth settings on the Mac. On current macOS, go to Apple menu > System Settings > Bluetooth. Older macOS versions may label the app System Preferences.
- Select the mouse from the available devices and complete any on-screen prompts. Logitech says a successfully paired device’s light stops blinking, glows steadily for five seconds, then turns off.
If the mouse does not appear, leave Bluetooth settings open and check that the mouse is still powered on and flashing in pairing mode.
If your mouse is a Logi Bolt model
Do not assume that a mouse is Logi Bolt simply because it is slim or wireless. If the model or receiver is identified as Bolt, Logitech documents direct Bluetooth pairing on macOS as follows: hold the Connect button for three seconds, open Bluetooth settings, then select the mouse. See Logitech’s Logi Bolt macOS instructions.
Bolt mice can also be paired through Logi Options+ using a Bolt receiver: choose Add Device, select the Logi Bolt receiver option, put the mouse into pairing mode, select Connect for the detected mouse, and complete the verification prompts. Logitech says Bolt app features have moved to Logi Options+. See its instructions for pairing a Bolt mouse in Logi Options+ and its Logi Bolt support page.

- Compact & Travel-Friendly: The ultra-compact design allows the adapter to stay plugged into your device without blocking adjacent ports or adding bulk, reducing wear and tear on your original USB ports.
- 12-Month Warranty: Backed by a 12-month manufacturer warranty for peace of mind. Designed to meet strict quality control standards for reliable everyday performance.
The documented Bolt compatibility requirements are macOS 10.14 or later when using a paired Bolt USB receiver, and macOS 10.15 or later for direct Bluetooth. These requirements apply to Bolt devices, not every Logitech Slim mouse; check the Logitech Bolt operating-system compatibility information.
Fix a Logitech mouse that does not appear or connect
Check power and pairing mode
- Make sure the mouse is switched on and has power.
- Start pairing mode again. For many Logitech products, the rapid-flashing light indicates pairing mode, but the exact method varies.
- Keep the mouse near the Mac while pairing and check whether it appears in Bluetooth settings.
Check Bluetooth support and remove an old pairing
Logitech advises checking that the computer’s operating system and Bluetooth hardware support Bluetooth Low Energy for the device. If the mouse was paired before, remove it from the Mac’s Bluetooth device list, then retry pairing. For Bolt devices, Logitech also documents unpairing in Bluetooth settings or removing the device in Logi Options+; follow the Bolt unpairing instructions.

Identify the exact model before using a receiver
Turn the mouse over and find its model number. Use the matching Logitech support page or user documentation if the Connect control or pairing behavior differs. If you have a USB receiver, check its mark and confirm that it belongs to the mouse’s connection system before trying to pair it. Logi Bolt and Logitech Unifying are separate systems and are not cross-compatible; see Logitech’s receiver compatibility guidance.
What’s actually slowing this PC down?
Pick the symptom - the matching free tool is one click away.
Do you need a USB receiver?
Not necessarily. If the mouse supports Bluetooth and the Mac can use it, Bluetooth settings are the direct route and require no receiver. A receiver is an option only when the exact mouse supports that receiver system and you have a matching receiver. Bolt and Unifying receivers cannot substitute for one another. A USB adapter is only relevant if the confirmed receiver’s connector does not fit the Mac’s available ports.

Because “Logitech Slim mouse” does not identify one model, it is not possible to determine from the name alone whether your mouse supports Bluetooth, which receiver it uses, or what battery it needs. Identify the model before buying a receiver or battery or trying a model-specific reset.
