The Snapdragon 7s Gen 2 leads the Snapdragon 6s Gen 3 in the Geekbench 6 CPU scores displayed by NanoReview: 1,015 versus 938 in single-core, and 2,687 versus 2,183 in multi-core. Qualcomm also lists the 7s Gen 2 with a higher peak CPU clock and a smaller process node. But the available 3DMark results do not include a score for the 6s Gen 3, so they do not establish a graphics winner.

Snapdragon 7s Gen 2 vs 6s Gen 3: key specifications

Qualcomm’s specifications show differences in process, peak CPU frequency, modem, and connectivity. These are platform capabilities, not guarantees that every phone using a chip will deliver the same performance or support every listed feature.

Specification Snapdragon 7s Gen 2 Snapdragon 6s Gen 3
Process 4 nm, according to Qualcomm 6 nm, according to Qualcomm
Peak CPU frequency Up to 2.4 GHz, according to Qualcomm Up to 2.3 GHz, according to Qualcomm
CPU core layout 4 × Cortex-A78 and 4 × Cortex-A55, as reported by NanoReview 2 × Cortex-A78 and 6 × Cortex-A55, as reported by NanoReview
5G modem Snapdragon X62 Modem-RF System Snapdragon X51 Modem-RF System
Wi-Fi and connectivity platform FastConnect 6700; Qualcomm describes Wi-Fi 6E support FastConnect 6200

Qualcomm advertises up to 2.9 Gbps peak modem download speed for the 7s Gen 2. Its 6s Gen 3 product brief lists up to 2.5 Gbps 5G downlink and 1.5 Gbps 5G uplink. These are platform maxima, not expected real-world speeds: carrier support, network conditions, region, and a handset’s implementation all matter. See the 7s Gen 2 product brief and the 6s Gen 3 product brief for Qualcomm’s platform details.

The Cortex core labels in the table are secondary-source reporting; Qualcomm’s public materials use Kryo branding rather than those Cortex labels. The clock difference is modest and, by itself, does not determine how fast a finished phone feels. Likewise, a 4 nm versus 6 nm process label does not establish a specific battery-life advantage.

Geekbench 6 CPU results

NanoReview’s comparison page, accessed October 7, 2026, displays these Geekbench 6 scores:

Geekbench 6 test Snapdragon 7s Gen 2 Snapdragon 6s Gen 3
Single-core 1,015 938
Multi-core 2,687 2,183

On these displayed results, the 7s Gen 2 scores higher in both CPU tests. They are NanoReview figures, not Qualcomm ratings or guaranteed scores for every phone. The page does not establish a controlled comparison using identical cooling, firmware, memory, or power settings, and it does not provide an original test date or a full matched-device methodology.

Do the benchmarks show which chip has better graphics?

No head-to-head graphics verdict is established by the listed 3DMark results. NanoReview displays 3DMark Steel Nomad Light and Wild Life Extreme results for the 7s Gen 2, but no corresponding 6s Gen 3 values. Without scores for both chips under comparable conditions, those entries cannot show which is faster in graphics or gaming.

Nor do the CPU scores translate directly into a particular game’s frame rate, sustained performance, or heat. Those outcomes depend on the phone’s cooling, software, display resolution, memory, and power tuning, among other factors.

Which Snapdragon should you choose?

Choose based on the CPU evidence

If your decision is specifically between these two platforms and you value the CPU results available here, the 7s Gen 2 is the stronger choice: it has higher displayed Geekbench 6 single-core and multi-core scores, plus a slightly higher listed peak CPU frequency. Treat that as a platform-level comparison, not a promise that every 7s Gen 2 phone will outperform every 6s Gen 3 phone in daily use.

Compare the actual phones before buying

A processor name is only one part of a handset decision. Compare the specific models’ price, software support, memory and storage configuration, cooling, display, cameras, battery, and regional 5G bands. Qualcomm’s listed capabilities do not prove that a particular phone implements every feature, and the chipset comparison is not a full phone-to-phone buying test.

For an example of a phone associated with the 7s Gen 2, Notebookcheck lists the Xiaomi Redmi Note 13 Pro 5G among devices using that processor. This identifies a chipset association only; it does not establish current availability, price, regional version, or value. See Notebookcheck’s Snapdragon 7s Gen 2 processor page.

How to interpret the comparison

  • CPU: The displayed Geekbench 6 scores favor the 7s Gen 2 in both tests.
  • Platform specifications: Qualcomm lists a 4 nm process and up to 2.4 GHz for the 7s Gen 2, compared with 6 nm and up to 2.3 GHz for the 6s Gen 3.
  • Graphics: The cited 3DMark entries lack a 6s Gen 3 score, so they cannot settle the graphics comparison.
  • Real-world choice: Phone design and configuration still matter; use the processor comparison alongside the specifications and support details for the exact handset.
