If Comodo Firewall suddenly will not install, first confirm that the installer supports your Windows version and that you have the firewall-only installer rather than the full Comodo Internet Security suite. Then check only for security software that conflicts with the product you chose. The title alone does not identify an error, Windows version, or installer build, so there is no single confirmed cause.
Start by identifying the installer and your Windows version
Before changing security settings or removing software, establish what you are trying to install. Comodo’s installation guidance says to review the system requirements for the specific product and installer. Its older published compatibility information is not enough to confirm support for every current Windows release.
- Open Settings > System > About in Windows. Note the Windows edition and version, and whether the system is 32-bit or 64-bit if that information is shown.
- Check the name and version of the Comodo installer you downloaded. Determine whether it installs Comodo Firewall only or the full Comodo Internet Security suite.
- Compare those details with the system requirements for that exact installer. Do not assume an older download supports your Windows version just because a previous Comodo release worked on the same computer.
Comodo’s Firewall product page lists Windows XP, Vista, 7, 8, 8.1, and 10. Separately, its 2019 guide for CIS version 12 says version 12.0.0.6882 and later does not support XP or Vista. These are version-specific, older statements; neither establishes compatibility with Windows 11 or an unspecified current installer. Check the requirements supplied with the installer you are using. Check for conflicts based on which product you chose
Comodo distinguishes between installing its firewall alone and installing the full security suite. Its installation guidance says that a third-party antivirus does not need to be removed for a firewall-only installation. If installing the full Internet Security suite, Comodo advises removing both conflicting types of product—firewall and antivirus—if they are present. Follow the uninstall instructions from the relevant software vendor rather than removing unrelated programs. Comodo installation guidance.

- Firewall-only installer: Check whether another firewall is installed. Do not remove an antivirus solely because you are installing Comodo Firewall.
- Full Internet Security suite: Check for both another firewall and another antivirus. If either is present, consult its vendor’s uninstall instructions before proceeding.
A security-software conflict is one possibility, not a diagnosis. Comodo’s guidance does not establish that every failed installation is caused by another product.
Do not disable Windows security as a blanket fix
A forum thread reports an installer that would not open, but it does not establish a repeatable cause or a fix for other users. That report is not evidence that Windows Defender or Windows Firewall must be disabled. Avoid turning off built-in protections as a general troubleshooting step; first verify installer compatibility and check for the product-type conflicts described above.

If the installer still fails, give support the details that identify your case
When compatibility and conflict checks do not explain the failure, use Comodo’s current official help and support options. Its support page lists guides and forums for free products, a support-ticket route, and a consumer security support phone number for paid products. Choose the route that matches your product and check the official page for current contact details. Comodo support.
