Images circulating from Chinese site Bilibili appear to show a Pokémon-themed version of Razer’s Viper V4 Pro wireless gaming mouse. The collaboration is not confirmed by Razer, and there is no verified global release, retail listing or final price. What is clear is the design: a gray shell with yellow and green accents, pixel-art graphics and a yellow Poké Ball-style emblem. PC Gamer writer Jacob Fox summed up the reaction bluntly: “I think it looks bloody awful.”
Is the Pokémon Razer mouse real?
Not as a confirmed product. The images reported by PC Gamer are associated with Bilibili and may represent a planned Chinese-market edition, a prototype, a retailer listing, or an unofficial design. Razer has not been cited as announcing this Pokémon collaboration, and no authenticated product page establishes a release date, supported regions or final specifications.
That distinction matters. A leaked image can show a genuine pre-release concept without guaranteeing that the product reaches stores. Until Razer or an officially licensed retailer publishes a product page, treat any Pokémon-branded Viper V4 Pro listing as unconfirmed.

Why the design is drawing criticism
The reported shell uses gray, yellow and green, with pixel-art graphics and a yellow Poké Ball-style mark. Fox’s criticism is primarily aesthetic rather than technical: he argues that the colors do not work together, the graphics look applied to the shell rather than integrated into it, and the result conflicts with the Viper line’s normally restrained, streamlined appearance.
#1 Best Overall
- 49G ULTRA LIGHTWEIGHT ESPORTS MOUSE — Built with input from competitive pro players, this wireless mouse is 9% lighter than the previous gen and delivers faster, more agile control for PC gaming
- INDUSTRY LEADING SPEED & RELIABILITY — Powered by Razer HyperSpeed Wireless Gen-2, it delivers unrivaled speed and reliability plus more power-efficient with true 8000 Hz polling and 55% lower latency
- OPTICAL SCROLL WHEEL FOR COMPETITIVE ACCURACY — Uses optical actuation instead of mechanical for more consistent tracking, increased durability, and tactile feedback designed for precise in‑game control
- FOCUS PRO 50K DPI OPTICAL SENSOR GEN-3 — Tracks up to 930 IPS and 90 G acceleration for accurate, high‑speed movement while Frame Sync reduces latency by aligning sensor data with the PC for ultimate precision and responsive in‑game control that competitive players expect
- LONG BATTERY LIFE — Improved wireless efficiency provides up to 180 hours at 1000 Hz or up to 45 hours at 8000 Hz, letting players choose between extended battery life or ultra‑low latency performance
That is a subjective judgment, not evidence of a performance problem. The available report does not establish a different sensor, polling implementation, weight, switch configuration or battery system for the themed model. It also does not confirm whether the pictured finish is final production hardware.
What the normal Viper V4 Pro offers
Razer’s March 24, 2026 newsroom announcement identifies the standard Viper V4 Pro as a wireless esports mouse with the following stated specifications:
Rank #2
- 50G ULTRA LIGHTWEIGHT ESPORTS MOUSE — Built with input from competitive pro players, this wireless mouse is 9% lighter than the previous gen and delivers faster, more agile control for PC gaming

- LONG BATTERY LIFE — Improved wireless efficiency provides up to 180 hours at 1000 Hz or up to 45 hours at 8000 Hz, letting players choose between extended battery life or ultra‑low latency performance
| Specification | Razer’s stated figure |
|---|---|
| Maximum polling rate | Up to 8,000 Hz |
| Battery life | Up to 180 hours at 1,000 Hz |
| Sensor | Focus Pro 50K Optical Sensor Gen-3 |
| Weight | Approximately 49 g in black; 50 g in white |
These are manufacturer claims, not independent test results. Battery life is specifically qualified at a 1,000 Hz polling rate; operating at higher polling rates can change endurance. The 8,000 Hz figure describes the maximum supported polling rate, not a guarantee that every computer, game or display setup will benefit equally.
Official colors and related accessory
Razer also lists black and white Viper V4 Pro models, plus an Esports Green Edition. The company announced the Gigantus V2 Pro mouse mat as a companion surface with multiple speed ratings. That mat is the directly documented accessory in the same announcement; a Pokémon-branded accessory has not been verified.

- LIGHTNING-FAST WIRELESS PERFORMANCE — Razer HyperSpeed Wireless Gen-2 delivers lower latency and ultra-stable connectivity with up to 8000 Hz polling for responsive input in high-stakes gaming scenarios

- LONG-LASTING BATTERY FOR EXTENDED PLAY — Up to 150 hours at 1000 Hz lets you game longer without interruptions, ideal for long sessions or tournament play
How much does the Viper V4 Pro cost?
In the Razer US store crawl used for this report, standard black and white models were listed at US$159.99, while the Esports Green Edition was listed at US$169.99. Prices and availability can change, and those figures apply to the US listings at crawl time.
A price near US$300 has been associated with the rumored Pokémon version in Chinese-market reporting. That figure is explicitly uncertain: it may reflect currency conversion, a speculative listing, regional pricing or an inaccurate entry. It is not a confirmed Razer MSRP and should not be used as a buying benchmark.

Should you buy one?
If you need a mouse now
Choose an officially listed Viper V4 Pro model. You can verify the product page, regional warranty and return terms, and the published hardware specifications. Do not pay a premium for a Pokémon listing whose authenticity, licensing and support status cannot be established.
If you want the Pokémon design
Wait for a Razer announcement or a product page from a licensed retailer that identifies the edition, supported region, warranty coverage and price. Save the listing details and check that the seller is authorized before paying a deposit or importing hardware.
If appearance is your main concern
The reported edition is a risky choice because the only available evidence is visual and the design itself is divisive. The standard black, white or Esports Green finishes are the documented alternatives, while custom decals or skins let you add character without relying on an unverified product.
What would confirm the collaboration?
- A Razer newsroom announcement or official product page naming the Pokémon partnership.
- A licensed retailer listing that matches Razer’s model name and provides a regional warranty.
- Final specifications, dimensions, weight and charging details for the themed edition.
- An official price and release date for each supported market.
- Clear information about software support, replacement parts and returns.
Until those details appear, the Pokémon mouse is best understood as a reported Viper V4 Pro variant—not a product buyers can safely treat as launched.
