CMF’s first reported speakers, the Speaker S and Speaker M, have a milk-carton-inspired shape and a prominent control knob. Early retailer listings describe their designs and some specifications, but they do not confirm that the knob is interchangeable. What are CMF Speaker S and Speaker M?
CMF by Nothing’s first reported portable speakers are called Speaker S and Speaker M. Reporting on FCC filings identifies them as portable wireless speakers with model numbers E494 and E495, respectively. The scheduled reveal date was October 12, 2026, according to Gizmochina and Droid Life.
The speakers would broaden CMF’s product range beyond its 2023 debut lineup: Buds Pro, Watch Pro, and Power 65W GaN, announced by CMF through PR Newswire.

Early retailer imagery described in the reports shows each speaker with a gable-top enclosure—the peaked shape associated with a milk carton—and an integrated carry handle. The Speaker S has one front grille; the Speaker M has two. Those visible differences distinguish the designs, but they do not by themselves establish a difference in sound quality or performance.

Does either speaker have swappable buttons?
Not confirmed. The coverage describes a physical control knob, and a teaser reportedly suggested that it may be swappable. However, the retailer listings do not establish that the knob can be removed or replaced. The available descriptions support “knob,” not interchangeable buttons or a confirmed accessory system. Until CMF confirms the mechanism, treat swappability as a possibility rather than a feature.
