The TECNO POVA 8 5G lists a larger 8,000mAh battery and a faster 144Hz maximum refresh rate; the CMF Phone 2 Pro lists an AMOLED panel and Nothing’s six-year update policy. Those differences may help narrow the choice, but they do not establish which phone lasts longer in everyday use, has the better display or camera, or costs less. The TECNO specifications cited here come from TECNO’s Lebanon page, so check your local model and prices before buying.
First, make sure you are comparing the right TECNO model
This comparison is between the TECNO POVA 8 5G and the CMF Phone 2 Pro. The POVA 8 Pro 5G is a separate phone, not a higher-spec version whose specifications can be substituted here. TECNO’s Pro page describes a different configuration, including a Dimensity 7400 Ultimate processor, 6,500mAh battery, 1.5K 144Hz AMOLED display, and 50MP OIS plus 8MP ultrawide rear cameras. Does the POVA 8 5G’s battery and refresh rate make it the better choice?
On the manufacturers’ listed figures, the POVA 8 5G has a 3,000mAh larger rated battery and a 24Hz higher maximum refresh rate than the CMF Phone 2 Pro. TECNO also lists 45W charging, compared with Nothing’s 33W. These are specification differences, not independent measurements of runtime, charging time, or display quality.
Battery life depends on more than rated capacity, including display settings, workload, software, signal conditions, and power management. A 144Hz ceiling can allow smoother motion in supported content, but it does not by itself show how well the screen looks or whether the phone sustains that rate. Neither cited product page supplies a standardized head-to-head battery or performance test. Nothing advertises “710,000+ Antutu Score” on its India page; treat that as a manufacturer claim, not an independent comparison result.
Display: AMOLED versus a higher listed refresh ceiling
Nothing specifies a 6.77-inch flexible AMOLED panel with FHD+ resolution and adaptive refresh up to 120Hz. TECNO’s Lebanon page specifies a similarly sized 6.76-inch 1080 × 2344 display with a maximum 144Hz refresh rate and calls it an Eye-Care display. That cited page does not identify the standard POVA 8 5G panel as AMOLED, so do not transfer the Pro model’s AMOLED specification to it.
The practical trade-off is a confirmed AMOLED description for CMF versus a higher listed refresh ceiling for the standard POVA. The available specifications do not settle brightness, color accuracy, outdoor readability, or panel quality in use.

The CMF Phone 2 Pro is listed with a Dimensity 7300 Pro 5G and CPU cores up to 2.5GHz. TECNO lists a Dimensity 7100 5G, 6nm, with octa-core CPU up to 2.4GHz. Clock speed and chip names alone are not a reliable measure of day-to-day speed, gaming performance, or thermal behavior. No independent standardized head-to-head result is established by the cited sources.
TECNO’s Lebanon page lists three POVA memory combinations: 128GB with 6GB RAM, 128GB with 8GB RAM, and 256GB with 8GB RAM. The cited Nothing India page does not state a storage or RAM configuration for the CMF Phone 2 Pro, so confirm the exact variant on the local listing before comparing prices or capacity.
Camera: compare the systems, not a single megapixel number
TECNO’s standard POVA 8 5G page lists a 50MP autofocus rear camera and a 13MP front camera. It also names an Alive Matrix display. Nothing describes the CMF Phone 2 Pro’s multi-camera system on its product page. A headline megapixel count does not establish image quality, low-light results, video capability, stabilization, or which camera is more useful; the cited material does not provide a standardized camera comparison. Review the configuration and features for the precise regional model rather than inferring quality from megapixels.
Size, software, and support
TECNO lists the POVA 8 5G at 225g and 165.6 × 78.4 × 8.8mm. The cited CMF specifications do not state dimensions or weight, so the available evidence is not enough for a like-for-like size comparison.

TECNO Lebanon lists HiOS 16 based on Android 16 for the POVA 8 5G. Nothing’s global page says, “The CMF Phone 2 Pro will get updates for 6 years starting from when the device first became available on nothing.tech.” That is Nothing’s stated policy and starting point; the cited TECNO page does not establish an equivalent support period. Confirm what software and support terms apply to the exact market variant before purchase.
Price difference: why there is no reliable winner on value yet
A meaningful price comparison needs one country, the same or clearly identified storage configurations, named sellers, and a date checked. No such like-for-like current prices are established here, so it would be misleading to claim either phone is cheaper or give a numerical price gap. Local availability and regional specifications also matter: the POVA figures above come from TECNO Lebanon, not a universal global listing.
Before deciding, compare current listings for the exact model names and variants. If both phones are not sold in the same market, a price comparison based on different countries or imported versions will not show which is the better local buy.
