CMF Clip Pro is worth considering if you want clip-on earbuds that leave your ear canal open, but it is not a substitute for noise-isolating earbuds. The open design can feel less occluding and lets ambient sound through; it also offers little isolation and can leak sound to people nearby. Whether it is a good buy depends on how the fit and open listening style work for you—and on its current price in your region.
What kind of earbuds are the CMF Clip Pro?
These are clip-on open-ear earbuds, not in-ear buds with a sealed tip. Nothing describes the design as near-ear open sound. That can suit listeners who dislike a plugged-ear feeling or want to remain more aware of their surroundings, but ambient noise remains audible and the earbuds cannot provide the isolation of a sealed pair.
Openness has a trade-off for others, too: sound may be audible nearby, particularly at high volume. Nothing warns that loud use can disturb people around you. Its official CMF Clip Pro support page says its sound-leakage prevention feature can reduce leakage, but enabling it normally changes sound quality and volume. Nothing also says the earbuds’ angle can be adjusted to align the sound outlet with the ear canal.

How do fit and comfort hold up?
Fit is one of the stronger reasons reviewers give for considering this style. RTINGS describes the fastening as comfortable and stable, and Picky Audio reports a secure fit. Those are reviewer experiences, not a guarantee: ear shape and personal comfort vary, so a clip-on design that stays put for one listener may not suit another.
#1 Best Overall

- More Than Smarts - Your earbuds are already exceptional, yet offer more. Spin or press the Smart Dial for intuitive control. Plus, you can explore Anti-Leakage Mode, Spatial Audio, custom EQs, and more in the Nothing X app.
- All-Day Playback - Enjoy up to 10 hours of continuous playback on a single charge (32.5h total). Powered by Bluetooth 5.4 for rock-solid stability, the Clip Pro supports Dual-Device Connectivity & Low Lag Mode.
An open fit can be useful when you want to hear more of your surroundings during a walk or other activity. It is not hearing protection, and it does not make the earbuds suitable for every workout or environment. The cited reviews do not establish a universal fit outcome or a specific workout-safety rating.
What do they sound like?
Reviewers do not describe the sound identically. SoundGuys found a bright, spacious presentation with relatively little bass. It reported that bass enhancement could distort the sound and that leakage prevention could make it muffled. Picky Audio heard stronger bass, but also noted distortion at higher volume with Bass Enhance enabled. These differences matter if you expect deep, consistent bass or plan to listen loudly: enhancement may not deliver a clean improvement.

Both the open design and the way the earbuds sit relative to your ears affect what you hear. Try adjusting the angle as Nothing recommends, and treat sound modes as trade-offs rather than assuming that more bass or less leakage comes without a change in sound quality or volume.
How long does the battery last?
Published runtime figures vary by reviewer and test, so they are better treated as estimates than as a promise of your own listening time.

| Source and context | Reported runtime |
|---|---|
| SoundGuys, review published August 19, 2026; its test with LDAC enabled | Nine hours in the earbuds’ test; the review also describes 32.5 hours with the case and four hours of playback from a 10-minute charge. |
| RTINGS, 2026 comparison listing | A little over six hours in its testing. |
| Picky Audio, review dated August 12, 2026 | Around 10 hours from the earbuds and an estimated 32.5 hours total with the case. |
Differences between independent reviews can reflect test methods and conditions; the figures do not establish identical results for every listener. SoundGuys disclosed that Nothing supplied its review unit and that its reviewer tested it for five days. Picky Audio disclosed affiliate monetization. RTINGS’ runtime is its own comparison result.
Are the controls and connections useful?
Reviews report physical controls on the earbuds and a dial on the charging case, giving you tactile options rather than relying only on touch gestures. SoundGuys notes that some controls and features require configuration in the app, so expect to set up your preferred actions rather than assume every function is ready as you want it out of the box.

Reported connectivity features include Bluetooth 5.4, LDAC, and multipoint, which lets the earbuds connect to two Bluetooth devices. RTINGS and Picky Audio report multipoint and LDAC; SoundGuys and Picky Audio report Bluetooth 5.4. Picky Audio lists SBC, AAC, and LDAC codec support. Codec availability and audio quality can depend on the source device and settings.
What about calls, durability, and charging?
The source reviews give mixed assessments of microphone noise rejection, so the available evidence does not support calling the Clip Pro a dependable choice for noisy calls. If calls are a priority, weigh that uncertainty against the value you place on its open fit and physical controls.

SoundGuys lists an IP54 rating, while Picky Audio reports IP54 for the earbuds and IPX2 for the case. These are the ratings reported by those reviewers; they are not a reason to expose the case or earbuds to conditions beyond their rating. Picky Audio says the case does not support wireless charging. The reviewed material does not establish replacement-part or accessory details.
How much does CMF Clip Pro cost?
Price depends on region and when you check. Nothing’s US product page displayed $99 when accessed on October 7, 2026. SoundGuys listed $79 as the original price in its review published August 19, 2026. These are different source listings, not proof of a single current price or broad availability; check the listing for your region before deciding whether it is a bargain.
Should you buy the CMF Clip Pro?
Consider it if you specifically want an open, clip-on fit and value the reported physical controls, case dial, LDAC, and multipoint. Reviewers describe the fit positively, but comfort is personal; the sound is not uniformly praised, battery results vary, and open listening means limited isolation and possible leakage.

Look elsewhere if you need a sealed, noise-isolating fit, consistently strong bass, or confidence about microphone performance in noisy surroundings. RTINGS places the Clip Pro alongside Bose Ultra Open Earbuds, SoundPeats PearlClip Pro, and Shokz OpenDots 2 in its comparison, but the cited material does not establish a current, like-for-like price comparison across those alternatives.
