What does “cheaper” mean for the CMF Phone 2 Pro?
Nothing’s UK preorder terms listed the CMF Phone 2 Pro at £219 for 8 GB RAM and 128 GB storage, or £249 for 8 GB RAM and 256 GB storage. Those are UK recommended retail prices in the preorder terms, not a global price or a guarantee of today’s street price. Prices and availability can differ by market and change over time.
That price establishes how Nothing positioned those configurations in the UK preorder offer. It does not, by itself, reveal what the phone cost to make or how much profit Nothing earned on each sale.

The Phone 2 Pro includes a specified set of features and accessories
Nothing’s official Phone 2 Pro listing advertises a four-camera system. It also lists a cable, a pre-applied screen protector, a case, a SIM ejector, safety information and a warranty card in the box. Box contents can vary by market, so check the local listing before assuming every regional package is identical.

These are useful facts for judging what buyers get at the listed price. They do not show that a particular camera, accessory or other feature was cheaper to produce, nor that any one of them explains the price.
The Phone 1 comparison offers limited performance context
Nothing’s launch overview says the Phone 2 Pro has “10% quicker processing” and “a 5% improvement in graphics” compared with the CMF Phone 1. Those are manufacturer-stated comparisons, not independent benchmark results in the cited material. The official India Phone 1 listing identifies its processor as a MediaTek Dimensity 7300 5G.

These details provide context for the phones’ specifications and Nothing’s claimed generational performance changes. They do not disclose component prices, establish a complete price-to-performance comparison, or explain a manufacturing-cost difference.
Why can’t the price difference be attributed to a specific saving?
The public sources cited here do not provide Nothing’s bill of materials, supplier costs, per-unit manufacturing costs or profit margins for CMF phones. They also do not give a substantiated list of design compromises tied to a specific saving. Without those figures, claims that a particular component, factory, labor arrangement or omitted feature made the phones cheaper would be speculation.
