There is no verified current figure for how many people use Clubhouse. The clearest recent estimate identified is 7.9 million monthly active users in June 2022, attributed to analytics firm Data.ai by The Information. It is a historical third-party estimate—not an official count or a 2026 user total. The available evidence supports eight dated audience figures, not 40 distinct, current Clubhouse statistics.
How many users does Clubhouse have now?
Clubhouse has not published a current user total in the official sources reviewed. In February 2021, the company told TechCrunch that “it doesn’t publish user numbers.” Its current-facing download page describes the app but does not give an audience count. That leaves no verified figure to answer how many people use Clubhouse today.
The best recent attributable estimate in the available reporting is 7.9 million monthly active users in June 2022. The Information attributed that estimate to Data.ai. It describes activity in that month, not the number of registered accounts, downloads, or present-day users.

Eight dated Clubhouse audience figures
These figures come from different sources and measure different things. Read the metric and date alongside every number; installs and downloads are acquisition measures, while active users are people active over a stated period.

What these statistics do—and do not—show
Active users are not downloads
Weekly active users count activity over a week; monthly active users use a month-long period. Downloads and installs track app acquisition, not whether someone later used the app or remained active. TechCrunch cautioned that installs are not a sound proxy for registered users. A person may download an app without becoming an active user, and the figures here do not establish a current registered-account total.
The peak and later estimate are not a current trend line
The Information attributed a February 2021 estimate of 28.2 million monthly active users to Data.ai and a June 2022 estimate of 7.9 million to the same analytics company. These are historical snapshots. They do not establish Clubhouse’s audience in 2026 or explain changes between the dates.

Install totals capture the early surge, not today’s audience
Sensor Tower’s estimates—9.6 million global installs in February 2021 and about 16.4 million cumulative installs by the end of March—document the app’s rapid early growth. They cannot be used to calculate how many people use Clubhouse now. The measures also come from different reporting windows than the active-user estimates.
Do these 3 things before closing this tab:
1Scan for outdated or missing drivers - takes under a minute2Clear out junk files and repair common Windows errors3Fix the driver behind crashes, sound loss and screen glitchesWhy Clubhouse’s access policy matters to the numbers
Clubhouse ended its invite system and opened access to everyone on July 21, 2021. The company’s 2022 transparency report describes the move from invitation-only access to general release. At the time, Clubhouse’s founders wrote that “we’ve always wanted Clubhouse to be open,” as quoted by TechCrunch. The shift helps explain why early figures belong to a changing product and access model; it does not supply a current user count.

Can you find 40+ reliable Clubhouse stats?
Not from the audience evidence available here. It supports eight dated figures, but those figures are a mix of active-user estimates, downloads, and installs—not 40 distinct measurements of Clubhouse’s current audience. Repeating the same numbers under different labels, or combining unrelated social-media statistics, would create a misleading list. For a current user total, the responsible answer remains that no verified figure is established by the official sources reviewed.
