For broad access across Cloudflare APIs, start with Cloudflare’s Code Mode MCP server. For a focused task, choose a domain-specific server such as Documentation, Workers Bindings, Builds, CASB, or Radar. UnofficialOS is a separate community directory—not a Cloudflare product—and its listings are not a measure of quality or popularity.
Which Cloudflare MCP server should you choose?
Cloudflare’s managed MCP catalog offers two useful starting points: Code Mode for broad API work and product-specific servers for guided interaction in a narrower area. The right choice depends on the task, not on a published ranking of favorites.
| Task | Starting point | Why it fits |
|---|---|---|
| Work across Cloudflare APIs | Code Mode | Cloudflare recommends it for broad API access through code execution. |
| Look up current Cloudflare guidance | Documentation | Designed to provide current Cloudflare reference material. |
| Use Workers storage, AI, or compute bindings | Workers Bindings | Focused on Workers bindings. |
| Work with Workers Builds | Workers Builds | Scoped to the Builds product area. |
| Review Cloudflare One CASB | Cloudflare One CASB | Scoped to CASB workflows. |
| Use Cloudflare Radar | Radar | Focused on Radar data and workflows. |
Cloudflare’s repository also lists servers for the Cloudflare Blog and Demo Day. Endpoints and catalog contents can change, so check the official repository for the current list and setup details.
What is UnofficialOS, and is it official?
UnofficialOS is an independent directory that catalogs tools and MCP servers. It explicitly says it is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Cloudflare. A listing is a discovery aid, not an endorsement, security review, or recommendation from Cloudflare.
When UnofficialOS was crawled on October 7, 2026, it reported 4,146 curated tools. That is a dated count from a changing directory, not a count of Cloudflare MCP servers or an indication of which tools are best.
How do Cloudflare MCP servers fit into an agent?
An MCP client connects an agent to a server, discovers the tools the server exposes, and makes those tools available to model calls. Cloudflare documents addMcpServer() as one connection pattern in its Agents MCP client documentation. The exact setup depends on the agent framework and the server you choose.
Cloudflare’s “Docs for agents” page describes its API MCP as covering more than 2,500 endpoints. That is Cloudflare’s description of its coverage, not an independently audited endpoint count. The same page lists the Cloudflare CLI as beta; beta availability and behavior may change. See Cloudflare’s agent documentation for current details.

What to check before connecting a server
Cloudflare says its managed MCP services may read account configuration, process information, make suggestions, and make changes through Cloudflare services. Treat the connection as an access decision, not simply a tool installation.
- Choose a server whose scope matches the task; avoid granting broad access for a narrow workflow.
- Review which account credentials and permissions the agent will use, and limit them to what the task requires.
- Understand whether the workflow can change Cloudflare settings or resources before allowing it to run.
- Assess community-listed servers independently. A directory listing alone does not establish that a server is safe or trustworthy.
How to build a remote MCP server on Workers
If an existing managed server does not fit, Cloudflare documents how to deploy a remote MCP server on Workers. Its guide covers both servers without authentication and setups that authenticate and authorize access. Choose the access model based on the tools and data exposed; an unauthenticated endpoint should not be treated as appropriate for sensitive operations.
Rank #3
- Start with Cloudflare’s remote MCP server guide and follow its Workers deployment instructions.
- Decide whether the server needs authentication and authorization, based on who should use its tools and what those tools can access or change.
- Connect an MCP client using the deployed server’s endpoint and the credentials required by that setup.
- Verify the exposed tools and permissions before using the server for account changes or sensitive data.
Are these the “favorite” Cloudflare tools?
There is no representative user-preference ranking or independent comparative benchmark in the available evidence. These are use-case-based starting points drawn from Cloudflare’s stated server scopes, not claims of hands-on testing or community consensus. Check the official catalog and the relevant product documentation before deploying a workflow, since endpoints and features can change.
