The August 2026 C.H.A.O.S Sudden Death event has ended: Supercell scheduled it for August 24–31, 2026. The decks below are historical options from that event, not a current live-mode ranking. The official materials reviewed do not establish a later rerun or its future card pool and modifiers, so check the rules again if the mode returns.
How C.H.A.O.S Sudden Death worked
Supercell describes C.H.A.O.S as a mode where players build from a selected card pool and, during the match, get several chances to choose between two modifiers. Each choice upgrades one card for the rest of that match; modifiers come in Common, Rare, and Epic rarities. Supercell’s March 2026 update said C.H.A.O.S cards and leagues were Level 11. Supercell’s March Update 2026 explains the mechanic.
For the August Sudden Death variant, a guide published during the event reported that matches started in Double Elixir, ended as soon as a Princess Tower fell, and had a five-minute limit with no overtime. If time expired without a tower falling, tower damage decided the winner. These specific match rules are from the event-period guide, rather than the official seasonal schedule. Gaming Ally’s August 25, 2026 guide describes them.
Supercell’s April retrospective said C.H.A.O.S would leave rotation and was expected to return in July, with possible work on the card pool, modifier balance or replacement, formats such as Triple Draft, and deck-builder improvements. Those were plans announced in April, not a definitive specification of the August version. Supercell’s April update provides that context.

Three event-period decks to try
The following lists and modifier suggestions come from Gaming Ally’s August 25 guide. They are presented as different approaches, not as results from a controlled comparison.
Executioner, double barrel, and Suspicious Bush cycle
Cards: Berserker, Executioner, Fireball, Suspicious Bush, Barbarian Barrel, The Log, Skeleton Army, Skeleton Barrel. Average elixir: 2.9.
Rank #2

The guide describes Executioner as the main defensive card, with Skeleton Barrel and Suspicious Bush providing attack pressure. Its suggested priorities are Epic Suspicious Bush or Executioner, followed by Rare Fireball or Skeleton Army. This list offers two distinct pressure routes rather than relying on Skeleton Barrel alone.
Witch, Firecracker, and Skeleton Barrel
Cards: Berserker, Electro Spirit, Firecracker, Skeleton Barrel, Skeleton Army, Fireball, Witch, Barbarian Barrel. Average elixir: 2.9.

Gaming Ally identifies Skeleton Barrel as the deck’s sole win condition and describes Witch, Berserker, and Firecracker as its defensive core. Its suggested Epic modifiers are Barbarian Barrel, Skeleton Barrel, or Firecracker; suggested Rare choices are Witch, Berserker, Fireball, or Skeleton Army. With one named tower-pressure route, the list depends more on supporting that route than the double-pressure build above.
Electro Wizard, Knight, and Tesla
Cards: Fireball, Barbarian Barrel, Knight, Skeleton Army, Suspicious Bush, Tesla, Electro Wizard, Skeleton Barrel. Average elixir: 3.1.

The guide calls Electro Wizard modifier-sensitive. A historical tracker pick, with the sample size attached
RoyaleTracker’s Chaos Sudden Death page recorded 92,171 battles and nine unique decks, with its latest data dated August 24, 2026. Its listed top deck had a 55.7% win rate across 409 battles and an average elixir cost of 2.4:
- Night Witch
- Skeleton Barrel
- Electro Spirit
- Suspicious Bush
- Fireball
- The Log
- Barbarian Barrel
- Heal Spirit
RoyaleTracker’s event page is a dated snapshot, not evidence of the best deck in October 2026 or in a future rerun. Its 409-battle deck result is useful quantitative context, but it should not be treated as a guarantee of an individual player’s outcome.
How to choose among the builds
- Look at pressure routes. The first guide build pairs Skeleton Barrel with Suspicious Bush; the Witch list is described as relying on Skeleton Barrel alone. More routes can create more ways to threaten a tower, but the guide does not establish that they produce a higher win rate.
- Match the defensive core to your play. The lists lean on different combinations: Executioner in the first, Witch, Berserker, and Firecracker in the second, and Knight, Tesla, and Electro Wizard in the third.
- Factor in cycle cost. The first two lists are listed at 2.9 average elixir; the third is 3.1. The tracker’s historical top entry is 2.4. These figures describe listed deck costs, not a guarantee of how quickly a match will play out.
- Choose modifiers for the actual match. Modifier choices alter one card for the remainder of that match, so the guide’s priorities are suggestions rather than fixed upgrades. Supercell’s description says players choose between two modifiers at several points; take the available choice and the deck’s role for that card into account.
What to check if C.H.A.O.S returns
Supercell’s August 2026 seasonal announcement scheduled C.H.A.O.S Sudden Death for August 24–31 alongside Triple Draft, Epic Only, and Infinite Elixir variants. It does not establish a subsequent run. Before reusing an event deck, verify the new event dates, card pool, card levels, modifier options, and Sudden Death rules; earlier combinations and statistics may not carry over. Supercell’s August seasonal announcement gives the dated schedule.
