The Clark Rubber Comfort Premium is a standard high-density foam mattress that Clark Rubber describes as medium feel, Australian-made, and fitted with a removable washable cover. Public information is enough to check its listed construction and care instructions, but not to judge its independently tested support or durability: CHOICE’s performance results are behind membership, and customer feedback is sparse. The Queen product page also shows conflicting warranty terms, so get the applicable warranty confirmed in writing before buying.
What is the Clark Rubber Comfort Premium?
The Comfort Premium is Clark Rubber’s standard high-density foam mattress. It is distinct from the separately listed Comfort Premium+ Memory Foam model, which has a memory foam comfort layer. Do not assume the Premium+ construction applies to the standard Comfort Premium.
Clark Rubber describes the standard mattress as having a medium feel and says it is made in Australia. The retailer markets it for everyday use as well as spare rooms and children’s rooms. These are product descriptions and claims, not independent findings about comfort or performance.

What independent testing and customer reviews establish
CHOICE’s public specifications
CHOICE’s public page describes an in-store, double-size Comfort Premium foam mattress with a claimed medium firmness. It lists three layers, a weight of 13 kg, and dimensions of 188.5 × 136.5 × 15 cm. The page shows the cover composition inconsistently as “PES / PES tencel.” It lists a price of $509 and $349 as the price paid after a sale or bargaining. These figures refer to the double model and are not a current quote or specification for the Queen.
CHOICE hides its expert rating and results for support when new, support over time, stability, sagging resistance, breathability, wear resistance, and warmth behind membership. The publicly visible information therefore does not establish a test score, recommendation, or conclusion about support and durability. See CHOICE’s Clark Rubber Comfort Premium page for the details it makes public.

Two individual accounts, not a consensus
At the time the public double-model page was checked, ProductReview.com.au displayed two reviews. One reviewer who bought a mattress in July 2026 described a strong chemical smell after unpacking and said the mattress was returned to its plastic cover. Clark Rubber replied that foam products can sometimes have an initial smell and recommended airing the mattress in a well-ventilated area. This is one customer report and a retailer response; it does not show how often the issue occurs.

A separate verified reviewer described custom cutting the mattress for a caravan, a removable zippered cover, and a feel they considered medium to firm. That is an individual impression in a caravan use case, not a controlled firmness measurement. Read the public double-model reviews with those limits in mind. The Queen listing showed zero reviews, so there is no Queen customer rating or broad customer consensus to rely on.

Cover, treatment and care
Clark Rubber describes the cover as lightweight, breathable, removable, and washable. It also says the mattress has Ultra-Fresh treatment intended to control dust mites, mould, mildew, and fungi. Treat those as retailer claims; the available public information does not independently establish their effectiveness or clinical benefits.
Clark Rubber’s 2025 care guide identifies the core as polyurethane foam and the cover as polyester and TENCEL. Follow its separate cleaning directions:

Check the warranty and delivery before ordering
The Queen product page has conflicting warranty information: an image badge says “1 year warranty,” while the page text says “5-year warranty.” Neither should be treated as definitive without clarification for the exact item and purchase. Ask the seller to confirm the applicable term and conditions in writing before paying.

Quick Recap
How to decide whether it suits your needs
- Fit: Measure the bed base or caravan space rather than relying only on a size label. If ordering a caravan-size mattress or planning a cut, confirm the final dimensions and cover fit with the seller.
- Feel: “Medium” is Clark Rubber’s stated feel, not an independent firmness measurement. If possible, try the mattress in person and consider whether its feel suits your preferences.
- Height and handling: The public CHOICE figures describe a 15 cm, 13 kg double model, not the Queen. Confirm the dimensions and weight of the exact size you intend to buy, particularly if lifting or fitting it will be difficult.
- Construction and care: Check that the standard high-density foam Comfort Premium is the model you want, rather than the separate Premium+ Memory Foam variant. Review the cover and core cleaning instructions before purchase.
- Returns and warranty: Get the return or trial terms and the correct written warranty for your item; the Queen listing’s displayed warranty terms conflict.
- Total cost: Include the large-item delivery charge, or check whether store collection is available.
- Evidence: Public testing results and customer accounts are too limited to support a strong claim about long-term performance. If comparative performance data is essential to your decision, the public material does not provide it.
