CISA’s Known Exploited Vulnerabilities (KEV) index shows four entries added on October 14, 2026, affecting Palo Alto Networks PAN-OS, Cisco Secure Email Gateway and Ahsay AhsayCBS. Each entry is marked High urgency. A KEV listing is an observed-exploitation signal: organizations should treat these flaws as active incident-prevention priorities, not as theoretical vulnerabilities awaiting proof of attacks.
Which vulnerabilities did CISA add?
The October 14 KEV index view contains four CVEs across three named products. Two entries affect AhsayCBS, while PAN-OS and Cisco Secure Email Gateway each have one entry.
| CVE | Product | Vulnerability class | KEV date | Catalog urgency |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| CVE-2026-0322 | Palo Alto Networks PAN-OS | Code injection | October 14, 2026 | High |
| CVE-2026-76519 | Cisco Secure Email Gateway | Relative-path traversal | October 14, 2026 | High |
| CVE-2026-105133 | Ahsay AhsayCBS | Improper authentication | October 14, 2026 | High |
| CVE-2026-105134 | Ahsay AhsayCBS | Command injection | October 14, 2026 | High |
The index is a presentation of official CISA data. Use the applicable CISA record and the vendor’s security advisory to identify affected releases and the exact fixed version for each deployment. The published alert information does not establish a single affected-version range or patch number for these products, so administrators should not infer one from the CVE label.

CISA says its catalog is based on evidence of active exploitation and is intended to help organizations prioritize remediation. Its bulletin states: “CISA has added one new vulnerability to its Known Exploited Vulnerabilities (KEV) Catalog, based on evidence of active exploitation.” The bulletin also says that, although Binding Operational Directive 26-04 applies only to federal civilian executive-branch agencies, CISA encourages all organizations to adopt risk-based vulnerability management and prioritize KEV vulnerabilities.
#1 Best Overall
- HARDWARE PLUS SECURITY SERVICES: FortiGate-60F Firewall Appliance bundled with 1 year of FortiCare Premium and FortiGuard Unified Threat Protection.
- UNIFIED THREAT PROTECTION (UTP): Secures against advanced online threats with comprehensive web filtering and anti-botnet technologies.
- OPTIMIZED FOR MEDIUM-SIZED BUSINESSES: Tailored for businesses needing robust security without the infrastructure of larger enterprises.

The index additions are therefore a patching and investigation signal even when no CVSS score, victim count or exploitation-volume estimate is supplied. Published records for these four CVEs do not provide a number of victims, an attack percentage or a measure of campaign size. Absence of those figures is not evidence that exploitation is rare.
How the four vulnerability classes change your response
PAN-OS code injection
Code injection can allow attacker-controlled input to be interpreted as code by a security appliance or operating-system component. For PAN-OS systems, determine which management, gateway and perimeter devices are reachable from untrusted networks, review administrative and system logs for unexpected input or process activity, and follow the Palo Alto Networks security advisory for the supported fixed release. Do not assume that an internet-facing firewall is safe because its management interface is restricted; check every exposed service and any remote-access path.
Cisco Secure Email Gateway relative-path traversal
Relative-path traversal can let a request reach files outside an intended directory when path handling is faulty. On Cisco Secure Email Gateway, examine web and appliance logs for unusual traversal sequences, requests to administrative or configuration paths, and downloads or reads that do not match normal mail-processing behavior. Confirm the appliance model and software train before applying the Cisco security update, because the correct remediation is vendor- and release-specific.

A robust, Cloud-based deployment and configuration tool comes standard with WatchGuard Firebox appliances. Local staff connects the device to power and the Internet, and the appliance connects to the Cloud for all its configuration settings.
- Firebox T45 models make network optimization easy. With integrated SD-WAN and optional 5G technology, you can ensure failover to the cellular network, minimize disruptive connectivity, and establish secure and reliable connections for small offices.
- Standard Support includes 24x7 access to technical support, with an unlimited number of incidents with a targeted response time of 24 hours for low priority, 8 hours for medium priority, 4 hours for high priority, and live calls for critical priority. Support is Web-Based and Phone-Based.
AhsayCBS improper authentication
Improper authentication means an access-control check can be bypassed or applied incorrectly. For AhsayCBS servers, inventory internet exposure, administrative endpoints, service accounts and recent authentication failures. Review account, web and operating-system logs for successful access that lacks a corresponding legitimate login, then use the AhsayCBS security advisory to select the fixed build and any interim control.
AhsayCBS command injection
Command injection can turn attacker-controlled input into operating-system commands executed by the service. Treat an exposed AhsayCBS host as a potential compromise point: preserve volatile and persistent logs, look for child processes launched by the Ahsay service, unexpected scheduled tasks, new users, altered backup jobs and outbound connections, and isolate the host if those checks indicate intrusion. Apply the vendor’s fixed release only after collecting evidence needed for incident response.
What to patch first after the October 14 update
Prioritize by exposure and business impact rather than by CVE number alone. A practical order is:
Rank #3
- Integration with Unifi Controller. Powerful firewall performance
- Convenient VLAN support. QoS for enterprise VoIP
- VPN server for secure communications. 10/100/1000Base-T
- 3 Ports - Management Port - SlotsGigabit Ethernet - Wall Mountable, Desktop
- Refer instruction manual for troubleshooting steps.
- Identify internet-reachable instances. Start with PAN-OS, Cisco Secure Email Gateway and AhsayCBS systems exposed directly to the internet, through reverse proxies, remote administration, partner links or cloud security groups.
- Separate production from non-production. Map each instance to its role, data, trust boundary and recovery plan. A public edge device or backup-management server generally deserves earlier attention than an isolated test system.
- Check the vendor advisories. Match the exact product, hardware or virtual edition and software train to the vendor’s fixed version and any documented workaround. The KEV entry itself is not a substitute for those release details.
- Reduce exposure while change is prepared. Restrict management access, remove unnecessary public listeners, enforce allowlists and disable an affected feature only when the vendor documents that mitigation. Do not make up a workaround that could break authentication, mail flow, firewall policy or backups.
- Investigate before and during patching. Export relevant logs, record timestamps and preserve suspicious files or processes. If compromise is indicated, use your incident-response process instead of treating the update as the only corrective action.
- Patch, restart and verify. Follow the vendor procedure, confirm the running version after any reboot or failover, test the security appliance’s critical functions, and rescan the asset.
- Document residual risk. Record systems that could not be updated, the compensating controls in place, an owner and a deadline for completion.
What is and is not known about exploitation
The KEV designation establishes that CISA has evidence of active exploitation. It does not, by itself, disclose the attackers, targeted organizations, exploit code, victim count or the precise prerequisites for a successful attack. Authentication requirements, vulnerable configurations and fixed-version details must come from the relevant vendor advisory; they should not be inferred solely from terms such as “path traversal” or “command injection.”
Organizations should also account for appliances that are administered by a managed service provider, hosted in a colocation facility or embedded in a disaster-recovery environment. Ask the service owner for the running version, exposure controls, patch date and evidence of post-update validation rather than assuming the provider has completed the work.
Bottom line for October 2026 operations
Handle all four October 14 KEV entries as urgent: CVE-2026-0322 in PAN-OS, CVE-2026-76519 in Cisco Secure Email Gateway, and CVE-2026-105133 and CVE-2026-105134 in AhsayCBS. Find exposed instances, consult the matching vendor advisories for exact fixes, preserve and review evidence of compromise, then patch and verify. The alert supplies the priority signal; your asset inventory, exposure data and vendor-specific remediation determine the order within your environment.
