To run a Chosen’s Create: Integrated server, use Minecraft 1.21.1 with NeoForge, download the matching Chosen’s Create Integrated 1.4.3 Server Files.zip release, extract it into a clean directory, complete the first launch and EULA prompt, configure server.properties, and give every player the same pack version, Minecraft version, and loader. The server files release researched for this guide is dated March 29, 2026, so check the official files listing again before downloading in case a newer compatible release has appeared.

You can host the files yourself for maximum control over the machine, network, backups, and configuration, or use CurseForge’s documented managed-hosting flow if you want a provider to deploy and connect the server for you. The pack’s official listing identifies Minecraft 1.21.1 and NeoForge as the supported combination; it does not publish a tested RAM or CPU requirement, so hardware should be sized from your expected player count and world workload rather than from a made-up minimum.

What Chosen’s Create: Integrated is

Chosen’s Create: Integrated is a ChosenArchitect modpack built around Create automation. Its progression combines Create with Ars Nouveau, Just Dire Things, Refined Storage 2, and Replication. The project description presents those systems as one integrated progression rather than as unrelated mods installed side by side.

For the release covered here, the important compatibility target is:

A modded server is not compatible merely because it uses the same Minecraft version. NeoForge, the mod files, configuration files, and pack release all have to line up. Treat the client profile and server pack as one versioned unit.

Decide how you will host it

Self-hosting

Self-hosting means the server process runs on a computer you control. You are responsible for downloading and updating the files, keeping the Java process running, allowing the traffic through the machine’s firewall, configuring network access or port forwarding when players are outside your local network, and creating backups. In return, you control the files, world storage, configuration, access rules, and maintenance schedule.

Managed hosting

CurseForge documents a managed route in which you choose the modpack, select a plan and region, enter server details, and pay through its hosting flow. That service is powered by Shockbyte and billed through Tebex. The provider handles deployment and connectivity, which is useful when you do not want to maintain a reachable home machine or troubleshoot networking yourself. You still need to select the correct pack release and ensure that players install the matching client profile.

Concern Self-hosting Managed hosting
File and configuration control Administrator controls the server directory and configuration. Provider supplies the deployment environment; controls and access depend on the selected service.
Networking Administrator handles firewall rules, port forwarding, and external reachability. Provider handles the hosted machine’s connectivity.
Backups and updates Administrator creates backups and applies pack or configuration updates. Provider may offer management tools, but backup and update responsibilities should be confirmed for the chosen plan.
Billing No managed-hosting plan is required; you provide the hardware and network connection. CurseForge’s documented flow requires selecting a plan and paying through Tebex.
Best fit Someone comfortable maintaining a Java server, files, and network access. Someone who prefers a provider to deploy and maintain connectivity.

The official material does not establish a universal RAM or CPU number for this pack. Do not choose a machine from a generic “modded Minecraft” number. Estimate the number of concurrent players, the amount of exploration and automation, the distance players will travel from spawn, and whether other applications will share the host. For a managed plan, compare the provider’s current memory, CPU, region, backup, and modpack support details before paying.

Install the matching client profile first

CurseForge describes a profile as a bundle containing the modloader, configuration files, and mods. Installing the profile gives each player a repeatable client baseline instead of asking them to assemble individual files manually.

  1. Install the CurseForge app on each player’s computer.
  2. Open the Minecraft section and create or install the Chosen’s Create: Integrated profile.
  3. Confirm that the profile shows Minecraft 1.21.1 and NeoForge.
  4. Launch the profile once before joining the server. This allows the launcher to finish downloading files and exposes any client-side installation problem before it is confused with a server problem.

Do not let one player update the profile independently while others remain on an older release. The client release must match the server pack you deploy.

Download the correct server files

  1. Open the pack’s official files listing.
  2. Locate Chosen’s Create Integrated 1.4.3 Server Files.zip.
  3. Verify that the listing identifies Minecraft 1.21.1 and NeoForge.
  4. Save the ZIP locally and keep the release name and date with your deployment notes. The researched file is dated March 29, 2026; version listings and availability can change.

Do not use the client profile as a substitute for the server pack. A client installation contains the files needed to launch a player instance; the server ZIP is packaged for server deployment and includes the server-side launcher and configuration layout intended by the pack author.

Extract into a clean server directory

Create a dedicated directory for this server rather than extracting over another modpack or an old world. A clean directory makes it possible to identify which files belong to this pack and gives you a straightforward backup and rollback boundary.

  1. Create a new folder dedicated to Chosen’s Create: Integrated.
  2. Extract every file from the downloaded server ZIP into that folder, preserving the archive’s directory structure.
  3. Check the extracted contents for the supplied server launcher and any readme or setup notes. The exact script names and archive contents can change between releases, so use the launcher included in the ZIP instead of guessing a filename.
  4. Keep the original ZIP outside the live directory. It is useful as a clean reference if a configuration file is accidentally deleted.

Avoid extracting into a directory that already contains another world’s mods, config, or save files. Mixing pack versions can produce missing-mod errors and makes later troubleshooting ambiguous.

Perform the first launch

  1. Start the launcher supplied in the server ZIP using the method appropriate to your operating system. If the archive includes separate Windows or Unix launchers, use the one intended for that system.
  2. Watch the console during startup. The first run commonly creates directories and configuration files and may pause for Minecraft’s EULA.
  3. When prompted, read the EULA and set the EULA acceptance required by the launcher. Do not bypass the prompt by copying files from an unrelated server.
  4. Allow the process to finish its initial file generation, then stop the server cleanly from the console.
  5. Only after the first run has stopped should you edit the generated configuration.

The archive’s exact script names are release-specific. If double-clicking a launcher closes a window immediately, run it from a terminal or command prompt so the error remains visible, then inspect the message for a missing Java installation, permission problem, or incorrect working directory.

Configure server.properties

Open the server.properties file created by the first launch in a plain-text editor. Change only the settings you understand, and keep a copy of the original before making substantial changes.

Set the identity and access policy

  • Set the server name or message displayed to players so they can distinguish this world from other Minecraft installations.
  • Choose the access settings appropriate to your group. A private group should enable an allow-list or equivalent access control rather than publishing an unrestricted address.
  • Record the address and connection details you intend to give players. Do not post a home-network address publicly if you are not prepared to manage unsolicited connections.

Change one setting at a time

Save the file, start the server, and verify the result before making another major change. If a setting prevents startup, restoring the previous copy is faster than trying to diagnose several simultaneous edits. Never use a word processor that adds rich-text formatting; server.properties must remain plain text.

Make the server reachable

Players on the same local network may be able to connect through the host’s local address. Players outside that network need a reachable route to the machine running the server. For a self-hosted setup, that normally means allowing the server process through the operating system firewall and configuring the network router to forward the configured server port to the host computer.

  • Give the host computer a stable local address so a router rule does not point to a different device later.
  • Allow the Java server process through the firewall only as broadly as necessary.
  • Forward the server’s configured port to the host’s local address when external players need access.
  • Test from a different network, such as a phone hotspot, rather than testing only from the host computer.
  • Use an allow-list and share the address only with intended players.

If local players can join but remote players cannot, the pack is usually not the first thing to investigate. Check the firewall, router forwarding, host address, and whether the server console reports that it is listening successfully.

Give every player an identical installation

Before inviting anyone, write down the exact release you deployed: Minecraft 1.21.1, NeoForge, and the 1.4.3 server pack. Ask every player to install the corresponding CurseForge profile and confirm its version before connecting.

  • Play with up to four friends or brave the dungeons alone. Battle new-and-nasty mobs across action-packed, wildly varied levels, in a quest to defeat the evil Arch-Illager!
  • The Minecraft game version must be 1.21.1.
  • The modloader must be NeoForge, not a different loader.
  • The Chosen’s Create: Integrated pack release must match the server’s release.
  • Players should not add, remove, or replace mods unless the server administrator has deliberately made and distributed a compatible change.

CurseForge warns that game-version and modloader compatibility determine whether mods and modpacks work together. A client that opens successfully can still fail to join if its profile differs from the server’s installed files or configurations.

Start the configured server

  1. Start the same supplied launcher used for the first run.
  2. Wait for the console to complete startup instead of attempting to connect while files are still being generated.
  3. Confirm that the server has loaded the expected world and is not reporting a missing mod, loader mismatch, or failed configuration.
  4. Connect first with the administrator account, verify that the world loads, and then invite the remaining players.
  5. Stop the server through its console command when maintenance is required. Avoid terminating the process or powering off the machine while the world is saving.

The first successful connection is a deployment check, not a performance benchmark. Explore the areas your group will actually use and observe the console and host while several players perform normal activities before committing to a long-term hosting plan.

Common failures and practical fixes

The server exits immediately

Run the supplied launcher from a terminal so its final error remains visible. Check that Java is installed and available to the launcher, that the files were fully extracted, and that the process has permission to read and write the server directory. Re-extracting the ZIP into a new clean directory is safer than copying missing files from another pack.

The EULA prompt appears every time

Stop the server, complete the EULA step requested by the launcher, and verify that the resulting EULA file is in the server directory the launcher is actually using. Running a launcher from the wrong working directory can create the file somewhere else.

A player receives a mod or loader mismatch

Compare the player’s CurseForge profile with the server record: Minecraft 1.21.1, NeoForge, and release 1.4.3. Remove manually added mods and do not assume that a newer client profile can join an older server. If necessary, reinstall the exact profile release rather than updating in place.

Players cannot connect from outside the home network

Verify the server is running, the firewall rule applies to the Java process, the router forwards the configured port to the correct host address, and the external address has not changed. Test from a separate network. If the router or internet service does not permit inbound connections, managed hosting may be simpler than working around that limitation.

The world loads but play becomes unstable

Record the number of players, the areas being explored, and the automation or storage systems active when the problem occurs. The official pack information does not provide a tested resource requirement, so use those observations to decide whether the current machine or plan has sufficient headroom. Reduce simultaneous workload temporarily, stop unnecessary applications on a self-hosted machine, and review the host’s monitoring data before buying a larger plan.

Backups, updates, and changes

Back up before every change

Stop the server cleanly, then copy the world saves and relevant configuration into a separate backup location. Include the pack release in the backup name. A backup made while the process is writing files may be incomplete, so do not rely on a live copy alone.

Keep the pack release explicit

When a newer server artifact appears, do not replace the live directory immediately. Download the new release separately, read its included notes, and determine whether clients must update at the same time. Preserve the old server directory and a tested world backup until players have connected successfully to the new installation.

Document administrator changes

Keep a short record of edits to server.properties, access settings, firewall rules, and router forwarding. That record turns a future failure into a reversible change instead of a search through undocumented settings.

Choosing a managed plan responsibly

If you choose CurseForge’s managed hosting flow, select the pack and verify the listed Minecraft and NeoForge compatibility before checkout. Compare the available regions with the locations of your players, confirm that the provider supports the exact pack release, and check what the plan includes for backups, file access, restarts, and upgrades. Pricing, regions, and availability are volatile; verify them on the current checkout page rather than relying on an old quotation.

Managed hosting removes much of the network and machine maintenance, but it does not remove version discipline. Every player still needs the same 1.4.3 client release, Minecraft 1.21.1, and NeoForge combination as the hosted server.

Deployment checklist

  • ☐ Minecraft 1.21.1 and NeoForge are confirmed as the target versions.
  • ☐ The official Chosen’s Create Integrated 1.4.3 Server Files.zip has been downloaded.
  • ☐ The ZIP was extracted into a clean, dedicated server directory.
  • ☐ The supplied launcher completed its first run and the EULA requirement was handled.
  • ☐ server.properties has the intended name and access settings.
  • ☐ Firewall and router rules permit only the access the server needs.
  • ☐ Every player has the identical Minecraft, NeoForge, and pack release.
  • ☐ A clean-stop backup exists before the first major configuration or world change.
  • ☐ The actual player count and world workload have been observed before selecting hardware or a managed plan.

With those checks complete, the server is set up on the supported 1.21.1/NeoForge combination and can be maintained as a versioned installation rather than as a loose collection of mods.
