The iPhone is a 2022 iOS phone; Samsung’s 2026 FE is an Android model. Samsung’s reported launch prices are available, but a current price difference cannot be established without matched local listings for both phones.

How the displays differ
Both phones have a 6.7-inch display and support refresh rates up to 120 Hz, but the shared size does not mean identical screen detail. The iPhone’s listed resolution is 2796 × 1290 at 460 pixels per inch; Samsung lists the S26 FE at 1080 × 2340. The iPhone also has ProMotion adaptive refresh and an Always-On display, while Samsung specifies 60 Hz or 120 Hz modes.
These specifications do not establish which screen looks better in every situation. Brightness measurements are not provided here, so a brightness winner cannot be determined from the available figures.

Camera hardware and zoom
The iPhone has a 48 MP main camera and separate 2x and 3x telephoto options. Samsung lists a 50 MP main camera, an ultra-wide camera and one 3x optical telephoto camera; its specifications also state up to 30x digital zoom. That is a hardware and zoom-range comparison, not a verdict on photo quality: megapixel counts and lens descriptions alone cannot show how cameras perform in real scenes.
Battery claims: same stated video time, different evidence
Apple rates the iPhone 14 Pro Max for up to 29 hours of video playback. Apple says its figure came from testing preproduction devices and software in August 2022. Samsung also lists up to 29 hours of video playback for the Galaxy S26 FE and gives its typical battery capacity as 4,900 mAh. These are manufacturer figures, not a controlled head-to-head test, so they do not prove equal everyday battery life.

Their dimensions are close in height and width, while the S26 FE is listed as thinner: 7.4 mm versus 7.85 mm. The iPhone’s listed weight and measurements make it the heavier of the two, even though both have similarly sized screens.

TechRadar’s review reports that first sale began September 4, 2026. Promotions, configurations and availability may have changed since launch.
A current price difference between the two phones is not established by those launch prices: a comparable current iPhone 14 Pro Max price is not available here. To compare offers, use the same country and storage capacity, and match condition (new, refurbished or used), unlocked or carrier status, and seller type. Do not compare Samsung’s launch price with an unmatched used iPhone listing and treat the result as a like-for-like saving.

Which phone fits your situation?
Choose based on your existing ecosystem
The largest practical distinction is the move between iOS and Android. If you already rely on an iPhone, Apple services or accessories, switching to Samsung changes the software environment as well as the hardware. If you use Android and Samsung devices, the Galaxy FE keeps you in that ecosystem. The listed specifications do not establish a universal winner, and they do not answer how long either phone will receive software support.
Weigh the hardware trade-offs
- The iPhone offers a higher listed display resolution and two telephoto options; Samsung lists a lighter phone and a 3x optical telephoto camera.
- Both list refresh rates up to 120 Hz and manufacturer video-playback estimates of up to 29 hours, but those figures do not establish identical viewing or battery performance.
- Samsung’s listed storage tops out at 512 GB; the iPhone’s options extend to 1 TB.
- Processor names alone do not provide a reliable performance ranking, and the camera specifications are not a substitute for comparative image testing.
Compare actual local offers before deciding
Check matched listings for your country and preferred storage, then compare condition, seller and carrier restrictions. The Galaxy S26 FE launch amounts can serve as historical context, but not as proof of today’s price gap or savings.
