At the reported ₹49,999 price, the Redmi Note 17 Pro Max gives you 256GB of storage and a stated 10,000mAh battery; the Nothing Phone (4a) Pro offer at that price is the 128GB model, but adds a dedicated 3.5x optical periscope camera, a 144Hz display and the higher-tier listed processor. Choose Redmi for storage and battery capacity, or Nothing for its telephoto camera and display specifications. Prices are India-market snapshots, not guarantees; check the current price and exact variant before buying.
Price and storage: compare the exact variants
The ₹50,000 comparison depends on which memory configuration is actually available. Xiaomi India’s store displayed the Redmi Note 17 Pro Max 5G Secret Sunrise with 8GB RAM and 256GB storage for ₹49,999 when accessed in 2026. Nothing’s reported Flipkart offer at ₹49,999 was the 8GB/128GB Phone (4a) Pro; its 8GB/256GB offer was ₹52,999. These are retailer price snapshots reported in 2026, and stock or prices may have changed.
For context, 91mobiles reported Redmi prices of ₹49,999 for 8GB/256GB and ₹55,999 for 12GB/256GB. It reported Nothing launch prices of ₹39,999 for 8GB/128GB, ₹42,999 for 8GB/256GB and ₹45,999 for 12GB/256GB, with later official prices of ₹54,999, ₹57,999 and ₹55,999 respectively. The reported Flipkart 12GB Nothing variant was unavailable at the time. Launch prices, later official prices and retailer offers are different snapshots, not a promise of what you will pay now.

Battery capacity: Redmi’s advantage, with a regional caveat
For the India comparison, 91mobiles lists the Redmi at 10,000mAh and the Nothing at 5,400mAh, alongside charging figures of 100W and 50W respectively. That makes Redmi the capacity-and-wattage choice on paper, but it does not establish how long either phone lasts in a particular person’s use or how quickly it charges from empty.

There is a source discrepancy for Nothing’s battery: Digital Camera World’s March 19, 2026 review lists 5,080mAh, while the 91mobiles comparison gives 5,400mAh for India. Treat 5,400mAh as the India-specific comparison’s figure rather than a universally confirmed specification; check current Nothing India product documentation for the exact regional model.

Which phone should you choose?
Choose Redmi for storage and battery capacity
- You want 256GB storage at the reported ₹49,999 price rather than 128GB.
- The stated 10,000mAh battery and 100W charging matter more to you than a dedicated telephoto camera or 144Hz refresh rate.
- You prefer the listed UFS 4.1 storage standard, more extensive ingress-protection ratings, or the reported four major OS updates.
Choose Nothing for telephoto photography and display specifications
- You value a dedicated 3.5x optical periscope camera alongside the main and ultrawide cameras.
- You want the higher listed 144Hz refresh rate and Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 processor tier.
- You prefer the listed 211g weight, accepting that the ₹49,999 offer is reported for the 128GB variant; the 256GB offer was reported at ₹52,999.
What this comparison cannot tell you
The available figures are specifications and price listings, not a controlled head-to-head test. They cannot settle which phone has better image processing, sustained gaming performance, actual battery endurance, display quality in sunlight or long-term durability. If those factors matter more than the listed hardware, check current independent testing for the exact India variants before choosing.
