On a Samsung phone, changing “the voice” depends on what you want to hear differently: Bixby’s spoken replies and the voice used to read text aloud are controlled separately. For Bixby, open Settings > Advanced features > Bixby > Language and voice style. For text-to-speech used by compatible apps and features, open Settings > General management > Text-to-speech.
First identify which voice you mean
| What you hear | Setting to change | What it controls |
|---|---|---|
| Bixby speaking in response to you | Bixby > Language and voice style | Bixby’s language or one of its available speaking styles. |
| An app or device feature reading text aloud | General management > Text-to-speech | The text-to-speech engine and the voices and languages it provides. |
| TalkBack reading screen content | TalkBack settings, with text-to-speech settings as applicable | TalkBack is the screen reader; it uses the phone’s text-to-speech system. |
Changing Bixby’s style does not necessarily change app narration or TalkBack. The right setting depends on which service is speaking.
Change Bixby’s voice or language
- Open Settings.
- Tap Advanced features, then Bixby.
- Tap Language and voice style.
- Choose Language to change the language, or select one of the listed voice options to change Bixby’s speaking style.
Samsung offers only the choices shown on your phone. The available languages and labels can differ with Bixby version, model, region, and language. Samsung’s instructions are available in its US Bixby support guide.

- Open Settings.
- Tap General management, then Text-to-speech.
- Review the preferred engine and its settings. Depending on your phone, Samsung or Google may be available; tap the gear icon beside the engine to open its options.
- Select an offered voice or language. If a sample playback control is available, use it to listen before leaving settings.
The selected engine affects which voices and languages appear. Options such as speech rate and pitch may also be available, depending on the engine and device. Samsung’s US text-to-speech guidance describes the General management route.

- 【Strong Adsorption】The inspiration of the silicone phone suction case comes from the adhesive force of the octopus. Each suction cup phone mount is 3.15 inches long and 2.17 inches wide, with 24 independent suction cups providing a stronger and more stable suction force, so you don't have to worry about your phone falling during use.
- 【Back of Phone Suction Grip】Remove the adhesive film on the phone suction cup and stick it on the phone case. You can then fix the phone on any smooth surface, which is very convenient. (The phone suction cup cannot be removed and reused after being attached to the phone case. It is recommended to attach it to a regular phone case, not a valuable one.)
- 【Widely Used】Our non-slip silicone phone sticky grip mount attaches to almost any flat phone case and make it compatible with common mobile phones such as iPhone and Android. You can shoot, watch videos or video calls in the kitchen, gym, dance studio, bathroom and other places.
- 【Capture the Wonderful Picture】Whether you are a TikTok creator or just like to share videos and photos, this phone suction cup can help you hands-free capture wonderful videos and photos for sharing with friends.
- 【Note】You can fix the phone suction cup on a smooth surface such as a mirror or glass. If necessary, wipe the suction cup with a damp cloth to obtain stronger suction. Before releasing your hand, make sure the phone is firmly fixed. (Not applicable to rough walls, wooden surfaces, and other uneven surfaces)
If the language or voice you want is missing
Check the phone’s language settings and look for an option to install the relevant voice data in text-to-speech settings. Only installed language data is accessible, and not every engine offers the same languages or voices. Samsung’s India guide documents preferred engine, language, speech rate, pitch, sample playback, and reset controls, but its alternate route—Settings > Apps > Samsung app settings > Bixby Vision > Text-to-speech settings—is regional or software-version-specific, not a universal path: Samsung India text-to-speech settings guide.
Set speech for TalkBack
If the voice reads screen content as you navigate with TalkBack, adjust TalkBack through its own settings. TalkBack uses the built-in text-to-speech system, so the engine, voice, or language may also need to be changed under Settings > General management > Text-to-speech. These settings are distinct from Bixby’s voice style.

- SUPERIOR COMFORT — Unlike traditional circular ear buds, the design of EarPods is defined by the geometry of the ear. Which makes them more comfortable for more people than any other ear bud–style headphones.
- HIGH-QUALITY AUDIO — The speakers inside EarPods have been engineered to maximize sound output and minimize sound loss, which means you get high-quality audio.
- BUILT-IN REMOTE — EarPods with USB-C plug also include a built-in remote that lets you adjust the volume, control the playback of music and video, and answer or end calls with a pinch of the cord.
- COMPATIBILITY — Works with all devices that have a USB-C port.
- INTEGRATED MICROPHONE — A built-in microphone precisely captures your voice while you’re on the phone, taking a FaceTime call, or summoning Siri — so you’re always heard loud and clear.
When the menu path does not match
- Search Settings for Bixby or Text-to-speech if you do not see the listed menu names.
- Check whether your phone’s software and Bixby version differ from the instructions; menu labels, features, and choices vary by model, region, and language. Samsung discusses this variation in its New Zealand Bixby support guide.
- For an unavailable text-to-speech language, check both the phone’s language settings and whether that engine’s voice data has been installed.
Does this change your voice during phone calls?
The Samsung support instructions cited here cover Bixby and text-to-speech, not a built-in live-call voice changer. Do not assume either setting changes how your voice sounds to the person on a call; confirm any call-specific feature for your exact phone model and software.
