The boAt Nirvana Ivy is the most feature-forward fit on paper if you want active noise cancellation (ANC), call-focused microphone features, and an IPX5 rating. For a larger advertised battery total, the Nirvana Crystl lists up to 100 hours with its case in non-ANC mode, under boAt’s stated test conditions. The Airdopes 171 is a simpler option with up to 10 hours of listed total playback.
Those are manufacturer specifications, not independent test results. They do not establish which earbuds sound best, make calls most clearly, or last longest in everyday use. Choose based on the features and limits that matter to you, and verify current price and availability before buying.

For music, calls, and everyday listening, start with the trade-off you care about most: ANC and listed features, advertised case playback, or a simpler specification set. The table compares boAt’s published claims; battery figures are not directly comparable because the stated conditions differ.

Who should consider the Nirvana Ivy?
The Nirvana Ivy is the feature-forward pick on paper if you want ANC alongside app-based spatial audio control. boAt lists Hybrid ANC up to 50 dB, four AI-ENx microphones, Bluetooth 5.3, 11 mm drivers, AAC and SBC codecs, and IPX5 resistance. It also lists a 60 ms low-latency mode.
For playback, boAt advertises up to 50 hours with the case when ANC is off, or up to 30.5 hours with ANC on. Its quick-charge claim is 10 minutes for 240 minutes of playback. These are stated maximums, not guaranteed results for every listening volume, call pattern, or usage environment. The listed microphone count and ANC rating also do not prove call clarity or real-world noise reduction.

IPX5 indicates a resistance rating, not permission to submerge the earbuds. Check boAt’s current product guidance for care and usage limits before exposing them to water.
When does the Nirvana Crystl make more sense?
Consider the Nirvana Crystl if the larger advertised case-playback total is your priority. boAt lists up to 100 hours without ANC and up to 80 hours with ANC, including the case, with both figures specified at 60% volume. The stated volume condition matters; do not assume this is a like-for-like battery comparison with the Ivy.

These specs identify features, but do not establish measured sound, call performance, or battery life in your own use.
Controls and water-use guidance
boAt documents tap controls for calls and playback, plus a long touch to switch among ANC, ambient, and normal modes. Volume is adjusted through the connected device. The Crystl has an IPX4 rating, but boAt says not to submerge it or use it for swimming or showers.

What does the Airdopes 171 offer?
The Airdopes 171 is the simpler comparison in this group: boAt lists 6 mm drivers, Bluetooth 5.0, IPX4, stereo calling, up to 3 hours per earbud, and up to 10 hours total with the case. Its official product page displayed a price of ₹1,399 when accessed; that is a time-sensitive listing, not a guaranteed current price or a value comparison against other earbuds.

What these specifications can—and cannot—tell you
Manufacturer specifications are useful for narrowing a shortlist, but they are not a substitute for testing. A larger ANC decibel figure does not by itself prove better noise cancellation in your surroundings, and a microphone count does not show how intelligible you will sound in traffic or wind. Advertised maximum playback is also not a promise of the same runtime for every listener.
- Prioritize the Ivy if its listed ANC, app control, and IPX5 rating match your feature needs.
- Prioritize the Crystl if its advertised playback total is especially important, while noting its stated 60% volume condition.
- Look at the Airdopes 171 if its more basic feature set meets your needs; confirm the live price and warranty terms.
