There is no reliable current price gap to quote: the Nothing US page displayed different prices, and a comparable current OnePlus price was not established. Which phone is faster?

The OnePlus 13R has the higher-tier chipset on paper: Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 versus the Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 listed for the Nothing Phone (4a) Pro. That points to the OnePlus as the more appealing option if your priority is processing headroom, but these specifications do not establish a particular gaming, app-loading, or benchmark advantage. The cited sources do not provide a controlled test of both phones under the same workload.

Which display should you choose?

Nothing’s screen is slightly larger and has the higher stated peak refresh rate: 6.83 inches and 144Hz, compared with 6.78 inches and a dynamic 1–120Hz range on the OnePlus. Their listed resolutions are close, but the figures come from different source types—OnePlus’s specification page and TechRadar’s review. They do not, by themselves, prove which screen looks better in person.

How do the cameras differ?

Both phones list 50MP main and telephoto cameras plus an 8MP ultra-wide. The OnePlus telephoto is specified for 2× optical zoom, while TechRadar describes the Nothing telephoto as a periscope camera. Those details distinguish the camera hardware, but the available sources do not include a controlled head-to-head photo comparison.

In its review, TechRadar described the Nothing’s camera output as crisp overall, while noting occasional overexposure and pale colors. Treat that as one reviewer’s assessment of the Nothing phone—not evidence that it beats or loses to the OnePlus in a direct comparison.

Battery capacity and charging: what the numbers tell you

OnePlus specifies a 6,000mAh typical battery capacity (5,860mAh rated) and 55W charging. TechRadar lists the Nothing at 5,080mAh with 50W wired charging and no wireless charging. These are stated capacities and charging ratings, not results from a shared endurance or charging-speed test; real battery life depends on use and conditions.

What is the price difference?

A precise current US price difference cannot be established from the available figures. When checked on October 7, 2026, Nothing’s US product page showed $419 for the selected 8GB/128GB model and also displayed $499. TechRadar’s review, published March 19, 2026, reports launch prices of $499 for 8GB/128GB and $599 for 12GB/256GB; those are launch figures, not current quotes. A comparable current OnePlus US checkout price was not established.

Before buying, compare the phones at the same storage tier and check the final price, stock, and seller in your market. A displayed offer can change, and regional configurations and prices may differ. Do not treat the Nothing launch prices as its current price or infer savings against an unverified OnePlus price.

Which one should you buy?

Choose the OnePlus 13R if

  • You prioritize the higher-tier listed chipset and want more processing headroom on paper.
  • You prefer the larger stated battery capacity and slightly higher charging rating.
  • The US-listed 12GB/256GB configuration suits your storage needs.

Consider the Nothing Phone (4a) Pro if

  • You value its slightly larger display and higher stated refresh rate.
  • You prefer Nothing OS or the phone’s Glyph design.
  • The periscope telephoto format better matches the camera setup you want, while recognizing there is no direct camera shootout here.

Checks to make before ordering

  • Confirm your region’s exact memory and storage variant; do not assume US listings apply elsewhere.
  • Compare current checkout prices for matching storage configurations rather than relying on launch pricing or a page display that may change.
  • Check carrier-band support, warranty, and local availability for the exact model you plan to buy.
  • Review the latest official software-support policy and regional specifications; the cited software versions are page snapshots, not a promise of future updates.
  • Verify the Nothing model’s regional durability rating if that matters to you; the evidence cited here does not establish a like-for-like rating.
