What the CHiQ CSH145NW is—and how much room it needs
This white, upright appliance is listed by CHiQ as a 145L hybrid vertical frost-free freezer. Its cabinet measures 600 mm wide, 900 mm high and 685 mm deep, and weighs 40 kg. The Good Guys listing gives the same dimensions in height-by-width-by-depth order: 900 × 600 × 685 mm. CHiQ’s product page and The Good Guys’ listing support those cabinet figures.
CHOICE lists recommended installation dimensions of 95 × 70 × 74 cm, larger than the cabinet itself. Use those as a planning reference, not a substitute for checking the manual and measuring the actual space, including access for the door. Does 145L fit your needs?
Capacity is the key trade-off: 145L gives a smaller household a dedicated upright compartment, but it is not a large-capacity freezer. CHiQ positions compact upright models for apartments, townhouses, granny flats, office kitchens and smaller households; that is manufacturer guidance, not an independent suitability test. Compare the 145L capacity with what you actually store, and account for the room required to open the door.

What the hybrid modes do
CHiQ lists six modes: Freeze, Soft Freeze, Chill, Fridge, Cellar and Fast Freeze. They make the appliance more flexible than a freezer intended only for frozen storage: depending on the selected mode, it can be used for chilled or fridge storage as well. The sources do not give reliable mode temperature ranges, so check the CSH145NW manual before relying on a particular setting for a specific type of food.

What independent testing and owner feedback tell you
CHOICE’s accessible listing says the CSH145NW was tested in 2026. It shows a claimed volume of 145L, 95 kWh/year claimed energy use, a 5-star energy rating, a three-year warranty and China as country of origin. CHOICE’s Expert Rating and detailed test scores are available only to members, so those headline figures do not show how the model performed in its tests. They are values reported on CHOICE’s page, not results independently reproduced here.
The Good Guys listing displays an average of 4.8 out of 5 from 13 customer reviews. That is a small customer-rating sample, not a laboratory score or a measure of performance under controlled conditions.

Energy-rating details need verification
The energy information is not consistent across the available listings. CHOICE shows 5 stars and 95 kWh/year, while The Good Guys lists a 3-star freezer rating and a 5-star fridge rating. CHiQ’s page identifies the model as 145L but also includes a description referring to a 380L fridge/freezer, and its freezer-rating language conflicts within the page. The 380L reference should not be treated as a specification for this model. Confirm the applicable rating and operating details against the CSH145NW manual before making an energy comparison.
Price, warranty and purchase checks
CHOICE displays $599 and a three-year warranty for the model. The $599 is a page-reported price, not a promise of current availability or a live offer; check the retailer’s current listing before buying. The warranty figure is likewise reported by CHOICE.
