Cherry Servers offers both virtual servers and dedicated bare-metal machines, but the right choice depends on your workload, required location, configuration and contract—not a single advertised price or speed claim. Its 2026 updates include VDS availability in Tokyo and Stockholm, Multi-Queue networking on select VDS plans, and 10 Gbps dedicated connectivity in Singapore. The available evidence does not establish independent uptime or performance results.

What Cherry Servers offers

Cherry Servers presents itself as a bare-metal cloud and hosting provider that also sells virtual servers. The central distinction is whether you rent a whole physical machine or a virtual machine hosted on shared physical capacity.

Dedicated bare-metal servers

Cherry Servers defines a dedicated server as a physical machine whose hardware resources are allocated to one customer, without a virtualization layer. This can suit workloads that need a whole machine or direct control over its resources. The definition alone does not establish a particular performance advantage; results depend on the server configuration and workload.

VPS and VDS

A VPS is a virtualized slice of a physical server, created through a hypervisor. It provides a virtual machine boundary while drawing on the host’s shared capacity. Cherry Servers also offers VDS products; check the exact plan and platform details rather than assuming every virtual-server tier has the same resource allocation or behavior.

Cherry Servers VPS vs. dedicated servers

Decision factor VPS or VDS Dedicated server
Underlying hardware Virtual machine on a physical host shared with other instances. Physical machine assigned to one customer, according to Cherry Servers’ definition.
Resource scope A virtualized allocation; confirm the selected plan’s CPU, RAM, storage and network details. The machine’s hardware resources are allocated to one customer; confirm its exact hardware configuration.
Likely fit Workloads that fit a virtualized instance and do not require a whole physical machine. Workloads that benefit from a whole physical machine and the operational control it affords.
What to verify Plan-specific allocation, region, network terms and billing. CPU architecture and generation, RAM, storage, port speed, included traffic and total cost.

Neither category guarantees a specific level of performance or isolation beyond what the configuration and service terms establish. Compare the exact instance or server you can order, not just the product label.

What changed in 2026

Cherry Servers’ changelog lists several dated additions. These matter if you need a particular region or network feature, but they do not mean every plan is available everywhere.

For example, you only need to pay $459.98 for a NAS, while for cloud storage, you need to pay $719.88 per year, $2,159.64 for 3 years, $3,599.40 for 5 years. You will save $6,738.82 over 10 years with UGREEN NAS! *NAS cost based on DH2300 + 12TB HDD; cloud cost based on 12TB plan (e.g. $59.99/month).

  • August 5 — VDS Gen2 in Tokyo: The launch announcement said additional regions were planned. Its “Up to 70% More Performance” wording is Cherry Servers’ headline claim, not an independent benchmark or a universal result.
  • August 5 — Singapore dedicated connectivity: Cherry Servers announced 10 Gbps dedicated servers in Singapore. Confirm availability and terms for the server configuration you intend to order.
  • August 11 — VDS in Stockholm: The changelog lists Cloud VDS, Premium VDS and Performance VDS as available there.
  • September 16 — Multi-Queue networking: Performance and Premium VDS gained VirtIO Multi-Queue networking. The changelog says this can distribute network processing across multiple queues and CPU cores rather than a single queue.
  • September 30 — Ubuntu bare-metal image documentation: Cherry Servers added documentation describing modifications to its Ubuntu 24.04 and 26.04 bare-metal images, useful if you need to understand how the provider’s images differ from upstream.

The homepage lists locations in Lithuania, Amsterdam, Chicago, Singapore, Stockholm, Frankfurt and Tokyo. Treat that as a provider-wide location list, not confirmation that every product or configuration can be deployed in every location. Check the order flow for your exact combination.

Pricing: use dated listings cautiously

A CloudsPress snapshot checked September 24, 2026, listed CLOUD ARM VDS 1 and CLOUD VPS 1 at $10.53 per month each on monthly billing. It is a third-party snapshot, not a live quote or a full price list. In that excerpt, CLOUD VPS 1 was described as 1 vCPU, 1 GB RAM, 20 GB SSD and 5 TB bandwidth; the ARM VDS entry listed 1 vCPU and 5 TB bandwidth, without the same full specification in the excerpt.

Support response claims

Cherry Servers’ FAQ says it provides 24/7 technical support and reports an average initial response time of 15 minutes. Its homepage separately claims an average response time of 45 seconds. Both are vendor statements; the reviewed material does not disclose a shared measurement period, channel or definition of “response,” so they should not be combined into one expectation. Ask which support channel and response commitment apply to your service.

What to check before you order

  1. Match the service to the workload. Decide whether a virtualized instance fits or whether you need a whole physical machine, and make sure your team can administer the service.
  2. Confirm the region. Consider proximity to users and dependent services, then verify that your exact product and configuration are offered in that location.
  3. Compare the actual specifications. Check CPU architecture and generation, cores, RAM, storage type and capacity, port speed, and included traffic. Do not infer specs from another tier.
  4. Calculate the full recurring cost. Confirm billing period, configuration, region, taxes, bandwidth conditions and any setup or optional fees in checkout.
  5. Read the service terms. Find the applicable SLA, how availability is defined, remedies, refund eligibility, bandwidth rules, support channels and account or payment requirements. The reviewed sources do not establish the full current terms.
  6. Plan for image and platform details. If you rely on a specific operating-system image or network feature, confirm its current documentation and availability for the selected product.
