Check today’s price before choosing: vivo India’s store lists the T5 Pro 5G with 8GB RAM and 128GB storage at ₹41,999, above this comparison’s ₹40,000 ceiling. If you find it below ₹40,000 from a retailer, it is the better fit for a larger screen and higher-capacity battery; the Redmi Turbo 5 is the stronger on-paper pick for performance specifications and rear-camera flexibility. The best value depends on the live price and the features you will use.
Are both phones actually under ₹40,000?
No—not at the current official-store price found for the vivo. Its India store lists the T5 Pro 5G, 8GB+128GB, at ₹41,999 (MRP ₹55,999), a listing accessed October 7, 2026. That is above the budget before any retailer discount.
A June 2026 91mobiles comparison gave a different price snapshot: Redmi Turbo 5 at ₹37,999 for 8GB+256GB, with an introductory price of ₹35,999, and vivo T5 Pro at ₹32,999 for 8GB+128GB or ₹36,999 for 8GB+256GB. Those are dated prices, not confirmed current offers. The same article listed the Redmi 12GB+256GB version at ₹40,999. Check the seller, exact RAM/storage configuration, and checkout price before comparing value; the vivo store listing and the older comparison are not interchangeable.

These are listed specifications, not independent performance, endurance, or camera test results. A refresh-rate rating does not mean every game or app displays at that frame rate, and sensor resolution alone cannot establish which phone takes better pictures.
Which phone is better for performance and gaming?
The Redmi Turbo 5 has the stronger specification case for demanding workloads: its Dimensity 8500-Ultra platform is paired with LPDDR5X RAM and UFS 4.1 storage, compared with the vivo’s Snapdragon 7s Gen 4, LPDDR4X and UFS 3.1. That makes Redmi the more compelling choice on paper for performance headroom and multitasking.
This comparison does not establish a measured gaming or benchmark advantage. Game performance also depends on the specific game, its settings, software optimization and thermal behavior, so the component list should guide—not replace—your decision about real-world use.

Which is better for battery life and the display?
The vivo lists a 9,020mAh battery and a 6.83-inch 144Hz AMOLED display. Those specifications favor buyers who want a larger screen and more battery capacity on paper. The Redmi’s 7,540mAh battery and 6.59-inch 120Hz AMOLED display are smaller, but its rated charging speed is higher at 100W versus vivo’s 90W.
Capacity and charging wattage do not settle real-world endurance or charging time: usage, settings and charging conditions matter, and there is no standardized head-to-head battery test in the cited comparison. Choose based on the size and charging priorities you value rather than assuming a particular runtime.
Which phone has the more useful cameras?
The listed rear-camera setups make the Redmi more flexible by module count: it pairs a 50MP Sony IMX882 main camera with OIS with an 8MP ultrawide. The vivo also lists a 50MP Sony IMX882 main camera with OIS, but its secondary rear camera is 2MP. For group or landscape shots where an ultrawide view matters, Redmi has the clearer specification advantage.

The vivo lists a higher-resolution 32MP front camera, compared with the Redmi’s 20MP. That is a difference in resolution, not proof of better selfies or video calls; image quality cannot be determined from megapixels alone.
What do the water and dust ratings mean?
The listed ratings differ: Redmi is shown with IP66, IP68, IP69 and IP69K, while vivo is shown with IP68 and IP69. These are protection classifications, not a promise that either phone is waterproof or that liquid damage will be covered by warranty.
vivo says its resistance to water, water jets and dust is not permanent and may diminish with daily use. It also says liquid-ingress damage is not covered by warranty. Treat the ratings as limited protection under specified conditions, and check the warranty terms rather than relying on a rating to cover accidental damage.

Choose the Redmi Turbo 5 if
- You prioritize the stronger listed chipset, memory and storage specifications for demanding tasks.
- You want an ultrawide rear camera rather than a 2MP secondary camera.
- You prefer a smaller display or higher rated charging wattage.
- You can confirm that the exact Redmi configuration you want is currently priced below ₹40,000.
Choose the vivo T5 Pro 5G if
- You find the model at or below ₹40,000 and want a 6.83-inch display with a listed 144Hz refresh rate.
- You prioritize the larger stated battery capacity.
- You value the listed 32MP front camera more than a rear ultrawide.
Do not choose from an old price snapshot alone. Compare current checkout prices for the same storage tier, and account for any offer conditions. The vivo’s current official-store listing is over budget, so it only fits this comparison if a current retailer offer brings the model below ₹40,000.
What is included in the box?
Xiaomi lists a power adapter, cable, protective case and pre-applied screen protector in the Redmi box. vivo’s official store lists a charger, case and applied protective film. Package contents can vary by SKU or sale, so check the listing for the exact unit before buying accessories.
