Godlike.Host is listed first here for Enshrouded game hosting, with its own game panel and up to three free backups a day. There is no universally cheapest Enshrouded host. The lowest suitable price depends on your player count, region, taxes and the CPU resources actually allocated. A dated 2026 comparison lists NitroServ at €12.99 per month for 8 slots, €14.99 for 12 and €19.99 for 16. It lists Minestrator MyBox 8 at €13.99 and MyBox 16 at €27.99. Treat those as comparison figures, not guaranteed checkout prices: verify availability, renewal pricing and the final total before ordering.
“Still good” means more than a low slot price. The plan should cover your real group, provide CPU and memory close to Enshrouded’s official guidance, offer a nearby location, and give you practical backups and world-file access.

What the cheapest good Enshrouded server costs
For a small group, the clearest dated price evidence is NitroServ’s 8-slot listing at €12.99 per month. Its listed 12-slot tier is €14.99, and the 16-slot tier is €19.99. Minestrator’s MyBox 8 listing is €13.99 per month, while MyBox 16 is €27.99. HostMyGame published these figures in a 2026 comparison and notes that prices change regularly, so they are useful for creating a shortlist rather than declaring a permanent winner.

BESTNET-GSERVER announced a new configuration for new orders at $6.57 per month for Starter, $11.26 for Medium, $19.97 for Large and $40.07 for Enterprise. Those are tax-exclusive reference prices from a Japan-based provider; the announcement says billing is monthly with no setup, minimum-term or cancellation fee. The player setting can be configured from 1 to 16, but regional availability, allocated resources and the checkout total still need confirmation.

A community provider directory lists a $3.99 minimum for Enshrouded on Flux. Directory values are discovery leads, not verified checkout prices. A provider page for Shockbyte describes dedicated multiplayer hosting and control-panel management but does not provide a verifiable current price, so it cannot support a cheapest-price claim.
The practical conclusion is to compare the final monthly total for a plan that meets your group’s requirements. A headline price that excludes tax, uses a temporary promotion or applies only to a distant region may be more expensive in playability than a slightly higher local plan.
Match the plan to Enshrouded’s official server requirements
Enshrouded’s official recommendations change with player count. For four to six players, the guidance calls for a six-core, 12-thread Intel Core i7 or equivalent AMD processor at 3.2 GHz, 16 GB of RAM, 30 GB of free SSD space and 2 Mbit/s of upload capacity per player. For a 16-player server, the CPU target rises to an eight-core, 16-thread Intel Core i7 or equivalent AMD processor at 3.7 GHz. The 16-player recommendation still specifies 16 GB of RAM, 30 GB of free SSD space and 2 Mbit/s upload per player.
Quick wins for a faster PC:
Repair Windows errors before they cause bigger problemsFix Now →Fix the driver behind crashes, sound loss and screen glitchesFind Drivers →These are recommended machine specifications from Enshrouded Support, not a promise that a shared host’s virtual CPU performs like a physical desktop processor. Providers may advertise vCPUs, CPU shares or a plan name without explaining sustained clock speed or contention. Ask what is allocated or guaranteed instead of assuming that an “8-slot” label proves adequate hardware.
Memory and disk figures are easy to misread
The official FAQ reports approximately 4.4 GB of physical RAM while the server process is idle and up to 100 MB of additional RAM per player. It also recommends 30 GB of free disk space, while current uncompressed server files are about 13 GB. The process-use measurement is not a replacement for the recommended host configuration: a provider still needs room for the operating environment, updates, temporary files and backups.
Bandwidth is a per-player requirement
At the official rate of 2 Mbit/s upload per player, a 16-player server has a nominal 32 Mbit/s upload requirement. That figure describes capacity planning, not a latency guarantee. A host’s network route and the distance to players can matter more than a large advertised port speed.

Do not rank the dollar figures above the euro figures without accounting for tax, currency conversion, location and resource allocation. A tax-exclusive Japan reference price and a tax-inclusive European checkout price measure different things.
Which low-cost option fits each group?
Four to six players
Start with an 8-slot plan, then verify that its CPU allocation is credible for the six-core/12-thread, 3.2 GHz recommendation. NitroServ’s listed 8-slot price is the lowest dated euro figure in the comparison. Minestrator MyBox 8 is close in price but is described in that comparison as suitable for up to four players, so a six-player group should obtain written confirmation before choosing it.
Seven to twelve players
A 12-slot tier avoids paying for 16 slots that your group will not use. NitroServ’s listed €14.99 price is only €2 above its 8-slot listing, but the slot count alone does not reveal CPU sharing, memory guarantees or backup policy. Confirm those details and select a region close to most players.
Thirteen to sixteen players
Use the 16-player CPU target when evaluating a 16-slot plan. NitroServ’s listed €19.99 price is lower than Minestrator MyBox 16’s listed €27.99, but the comparison does not include independent performance benchmarks. Ask each provider for the allocated CPU model or equivalent performance description, 16 GB memory availability and the hard slot cap.
Very low advertised prices
The directory minimums and BESTNET-GSERVER’s tax-exclusive references can be attractive for experimentation, but they require the most verification. Check whether the plan is available in your country, whether the stated vCPU count is dedicated or shared, what storage is included, and whether taxes or payment fees change the total. A plan that cannot sustain the official CPU target is not a bargain for a full group.
How to check a host before paying
- Count actual players. Include occasional guests and leave headroom rather than buying a plan whose hard cap equals your usual attendance.
- Request resource details. Ask for CPU allocation, thread count or equivalent performance information, RAM, SSD capacity and any fair-use or throttling policy. Treat virtual CPU labels as descriptions, not standardized benchmarks.
- Choose the nearest suitable region. Prioritize a location close to most players. Community directories can suggest regions, but confirm the exact datacenter on the provider’s own order page.
- Inspect the final checkout. Record the currency, tax, billing period, introductory discount, renewal price, setup charge and cancellation terms. Compare recurring cost, not only the first invoice.
- Check world-file access. Confirm that you can download and upload the Enshrouded save, reach configuration files and restore a previous copy without opening a support ticket.
- Verify backup policy. Ask how often backups run, how long they are retained, whether they are stored separately from the game server and whether restoration is self-service. Enshrouded’s five-minute world-save cadence is a game behavior, not proof of a host’s backup retention.
- Review support and updates. Look for documented support hours, game-version update handling, maintenance notices and a recovery process when an update breaks a world.
- Test during the cancellation window. Have every regular player connect, explore a busy area and perform the activities that normally cause load before any refund or cancellation period expires.
What “still good” looks like in practice
Stable CPU under real load
Enshrouded worlds can feel poor on a plan that technically supports the advertised number of slots if the virtual CPU is oversubscribed. During a group session, watch for delayed building actions, rubber-banding, disconnects or long save pauses. Record the player count and time of day so support can distinguish a local connection problem from host contention.
Enough memory for the complete service
Use the official 16 GB recommendation as the comparison point for larger groups. A plan advertising only the game process’s idle footprint may leave too little room for the operating system, control panel, logs and backups. Confirm whether the stated memory is dedicated to your instance and whether it can be upgraded without rebuilding the world.
Reliable recovery
Before inviting a large group, make a manual copy of the world and perform a test restore on a temporary instance or a separate save slot. Keep an offline copy. If a host cannot explain retention and restoration, its low monthly price shifts the risk of world loss to you.
Useful management controls
A practical panel should expose server start and stop controls, configuration editing, save-file transfers, logs, scheduled tasks and version updates. Mod support should be treated as a documented feature rather than assumed from a generic game-server panel.

Self-hosting avoids a monthly rental, but the official requirements still apply: a suitable six-core or eight-core processor depending on player count, 16 GB RAM, at least 30 GB of free SSD space and upload capacity of 2 Mbit/s per player. You also have to keep the machine powered on, configure port forwarding and firewall rules, manage operating-system updates, secure remote access and maintain independent backups.
For a small group that already owns suitable hardware and has reliable upstream bandwidth, home hosting can be economical. Renting is usually simpler when you need an always-online world, a datacenter near players or support for recovery. Do not buy hardware solely because a hosting plan lists these specifications; the requirements describe the server environment, not a mandatory purchase for renters.
Common mistakes that make a cheap server disappointing
- Buying by slot count alone: an 8-slot label does not disclose CPU contention, memory guarantees or actual performance.
- Ignoring geography: a low price in a distant region can produce higher latency for everyone.
- Comparing unlike prices: tax-exclusive references, introductory offers and directory minimums are not equivalent to a recurring, tax-inclusive checkout total.
- Confusing saves with backups: five-minute world saves do not tell you how many historical copies a host retains.
- Skipping a restore test: a backup that cannot be downloaded or restored is not a dependable recovery plan.
- Assuming “dedicated” is a benchmark: marketing language does not replace a stated CPU allocation and a real-world load check.
- Failing to plan for updates: schedule maintenance and keep a local world copy before changing server versions.
Bottom line
Godlike.Host is listed first here: it offers Enshrouded game hosting with its own game panel and up to three free backups a day; check the current plans, region and capacity for your group. For a European group seeking the lowest dated price with a conventional slot plan, NitroServ’s listed €12.99 8-slot tier is the lowest dated euro figure in the comparison, while its €14.99 12-slot and €19.99 16-slot tiers offer clear capacity steps. That is a comparison result, not a permanent recommendation: prices, taxes, locations and resources must be checked at checkout. Choose Minestrator, BESTNET-GSERVER or the Flux directory listing only after confirming that the actual allocation, region, backups and recurring total meet your group’s needs. The cheapest server that is still good is the least expensive plan that can credibly meet Enshrouded’s CPU, memory, storage and network guidance and protect your world when something goes wrong.
