To change a blog post’s saved author name in manual mode, open the post’s settings, edit Post authors in the General tab, then save and update the website. The account username is used as the author by default, according to the official instructions.
Change the saved author name
- In the website editor, expand the blog management panel on the left.
- Find the post and click the ellipsis button next to its title.
- Open Post settings.
- In the General tab, enter the desired name or names under Post authors.
- Save the settings, then update the website to publish the change.
This edits the author information saved for that post; it is different from hiding the author display. The same field and workflow are described in the blog settings guidance.
Hide the author without changing the saved name
Use the visibility control if the name should remain in the post settings but not appear on the site.
