On Xbox One, the clearest documented contrast is between Red Dead Online poker built around saloon tables and public or private matches, and GTA Online’s Diamond Casino & Resort, a shared destination with activities and services. These are online-mode features—not evidence that the same activities are available in Red Dead Redemption 2 or Grand Theft Auto V story mode.

The distinction matters because the game titles and their online modes are related but not interchangeable. The updates offer a useful comparison of feature design and presentation. They do not establish how often players use the activities, whether one is more popular, or how their odds and payouts compare.

Rockstar’s May 21, 2019 update for Red Dead Redemption 2 on Xbox One and PlayStation 4 added Poker to Red Dead Online. Rockstar said players could join from saloons across the open world and play against other players in public or private matches. The update specified tables for up to six players at five locations:

How GTA Online presents the Diamond Casino
Rockstar’s July 23, 2019 update for Grand Theft Auto V on Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC added the Diamond Casino & Resort to GTA Online. The notes describe it as a shared location for players, with activities and guest services. Unlike the RDR Online update’s emphasis on poker tables distributed among named locations, this update presents a dedicated casino destination within GTA Online.

Where GTA Online offers table-style customization
A later update documented a narrower, conditional feature: on December 15, 2020, Rockstar said eligible players could use Chips to buy alternate table styles. The requirement was ownership of both a Casino Penthouse and a Private Dealer. For those players, the update listed five Blackjack table styles and four Three Card Poker table styles.
