Yes—Carnival offers ship-wide satellite Wi-Fi, but general internet access requires a paid plan. Carnival’s current pre-cruise starting prices are $20.40 per person per day for Social, $23.80 for Value, and $25.50 for Premium. Prices vary by sailing and can change without notice, so check your booking for the amount that applies to your cruise.
What Carnival’s Wi-Fi plans include
Carnival provides satellite internet through ship-wide Wi-Fi on its ships. The Wi-Fi network is available, but you need to purchase a plan to access the internet. The right tier depends on whether you only need selected apps, want general browsing and email, or need supported streaming and video calls.
| Plan | What it includes | Pre-cruise starting price |
|---|---|---|
| Social | Selected social apps and major airline websites. It excludes most other websites, email, and video or music streaming services. | $20.40 per person per day, listed by Carnival as a starting price. |
| Value | Social-plan access plus broader website browsing and email at faster speeds than Social. Video streaming is not supported. | $23.80 per person per day, listed by Carnival as a starting price. |
| Premium | Broader access, supported streaming, and video calls where coverage allows. Wi-Fi calling that depends on a cellular network is not supported. | $25.50 per person per day, listed by Carnival as a starting price. |
| Multi-Device Premium | Premium access for up to four devices. It must be purchased online before sailing and is not available onboard. | Carnival’s product page displays a starting price of $90.00 per day for up to four devices; verify the price for your sailing. |
The Social, Value, and Premium prices are Carnival’s published pre-cruise starting rates, not guaranteed prices for every sailing. Carnival says prices may change without notice. See its Internet Plans FAQ, internet plan details, and Multi-Device Premium page for current terms and sailing-specific availability.

- Choose Social if selected social apps or airline websites are enough. It will not cover most regular browsing, email, or streaming.
- Choose Value if you need broader browsing and email, but do not need video streaming.
- Choose Premium if you want supported streaming or video calls where the ship’s coverage allows them. It still does not support Wi-Fi calling that depends on a cellular network.
- Consider Multi-Device Premium if up to four devices need access and you can purchase online before sailing. Standard plans support one active device at a time.
How to buy a plan
- Before sailing: Use Carnival’s Manage My Booking or Internet Plans shop to pre-purchase a cruise-long plan. Carnival generally allows pre-purchase until 11:59 p.m. ET on the day before embarkation. Prices before sailing may differ from onboard prices.
- Onboard: Connect using your device’s Wi-Fi settings and purchase a daily plan. The Multi-Device Premium option is not sold onboard.
Can you use cellular data instead?
Your cellular carrier’s roaming service is separate from Carnival’s Wi-Fi plan. Carnival recommends turning on airplane mode and then connecting to Carnival Wi-Fi to avoid roaming charges. Airplane mode does not provide internet access by itself or replace a paid Carnival plan.
