If you can’t cancel YouTube TV, first check who bills your membership. For a membership billed directly by YouTube TV, use a computer or mobile browser: select your profile photo, then go to Settings > Membership > Manage > Cancel membership > Cancel. If a mobile carrier or internet provider bills you, cancel through that provider instead. YouTube TV’s cancellation instructions and provider-billing guidance explain the two routes.
Check who bills your YouTube TV membership
The cancellation controls depend on the billing route. Check your account’s billing details or the charge on your bill to see whether YouTube TV or a mobile carrier or internet provider is charging you.

If your carrier or internet provider bills you, trying to cancel from YouTube TV may not complete the request. Follow that provider’s cancellation process.
For direct billing, use the browser cancellation path
- Open YouTube TV in a computer or mobile web browser and sign in.
- Select your profile photo and open Settings.
- Choose Membership, then select Manage.
- Select Cancel membership, then confirm with Cancel.
You can remove an add-on network individually from the membership controls if you want to stop that add-on rather than cancel the base membership. See YouTube TV’s official cancellation instructions for the current steps.

If “Manage” or “Cancel membership” is missing
A missing control does not point to one confirmed cause. Check these items before treating cancellation as unavailable:
- Confirm the signed-in Google account. Make sure it is the account that owns the YouTube TV membership, then check Settings > Membership again.
- Identify the biller. If a carrier or internet provider bills the membership, cancel through that provider rather than YouTube TV.
- Check for a billing or account issue. YouTube TV’s billing troubleshooter covers declined payments, payment-method problems, and requests for additional Google account information. These issues can affect billing or access, but YouTube TV does not say they always block cancellation.
- Contact official support if the direct-billing controls still fail. Use the YouTube TV Help cancellation page to reach its support options with your account details available.
A YouTube TV Community thread describes a member unable to find “Manage,” but community replies are user-generated and may not be verified or current. Treat the official help pages—not forum suggestions—as the guidance for your account.

Cancellation usually does not end access immediately
YouTube TV says, “When you cancel or pause your membership, you’ll still have access to YouTube TV until the end of your payment period.” The same applies when cancellation happens during a trial: access continues through the end of that trial period. If you need access removed immediately, YouTube TV directs you to contact support. See its cancellation and access policy.

Pause is different from cancel
A pause is temporary, not a way to permanently stop the membership. YouTube TV allows a pause lasting from four weeks up to six months. It starts after the current billing cycle, stops access and new recordings while active, and automatically resumes the membership at the normal monthly price when the pause ends. The pause cannot be extended, though you can resume the membership and pause again. Provider-billed members cannot currently pause through YouTube TV. YouTube TV’s membership options describe the pause rules.
