The Canon PIXMA G3270 is a wireless, refillable-ink all-in-one for home users who print, copy, and scan without needing automatic two-sided printing or a document feeder. Canon’s bottle-yield estimates are generous, but its rated speeds are modest and the G3270’s single-sided workflow makes it a poor fit for frequent, hands-off office jobs.
What the Canon PIXMA G3270 does
The G3270 is a four-color ink-tank inkjet that prints, copies, and scans. It supports document and photo printing, with a flatbed scanner for documents and photos. Its rear paper tray accepts a range of common sizes, including letter, legal, A4, and photo formats; check Canon’s current regional support information for exact media compatibility.
For scanning, Canon specifies a 600 × 1200 dpi optical resolution and a maximum document size of 8.5 × 11.7 inches. A backlit 1.35-inch square LCD handles basic printer controls.

The G3270 uses Canon GI-21 bottled ink: pigment-based black and dye-based cyan, magenta, and yellow. Canon rates one full set for up to 6,000 black-and-white or 7,700 color pages in default mode. In economy mode, the stated estimates rise to up to 7,600 black-and-white or 8,100 color pages. These are Canon estimates based on its test method, not guaranteed results; actual yield varies with content, settings, and use.

- 1.35” Square LCD display
The high rated yields make the refillable tank design appealing to households that print regularly and want to avoid frequent cartridge changes. They do not establish what a page will cost today: that requires current, region-specific prices for genuine GI-21 bottles and a comparable estimate of the pages you print.
Speed and everyday workflow
Canon’s ESAT ratings for letter-size simplex documents are approximately 11.0 images per minute in black and 6.0 in color. These are manufacturer ratings, not a promise of the time a particular print job will take. The G3270 prints on one side at a time; it does not provide automatic duplex printing or an automatic document feeder (ADF).

- Good match: routine home documents, occasional photos, and scanning or copying individual pages on the flatbed.
- Less suitable: frequent double-sided jobs, scanning stacks of pages, or office work where rated speed and reduced handling time matter.
Canon lists a duty cycle of up to 3,000 pages per month. That is a rated maximum, not a recommended everyday workload.

Connectivity and compatibility
The printer supports Hi-Speed USB and dual-band 2.4/5 GHz Wi-Fi. Canon lists Canon PRINT, Apple AirPrint, and Mopria support for mobile and wireless printing. This gives users common ways to send jobs from a computer or compatible mobile device; confirm operating-system and app requirements on Canon’s current support page before purchase.

Print quality: what the available evidence establishes
Canon specifies a maximum print resolution of 4800 × 1200 dpi. That figure describes the printer’s stated resolution, not a direct measure of perceived text sharpness, color accuracy, or photo quality.
TechRadar’s 2026 ink-tank roundup characterizes the G3270 as a budget-oriented home printer suited to documents and photos, but not professional photo work. That assessment is TechRadar’s, not an independent test conducted for this review. The available summary does not provide enough detail about its test protocol to support quantified or directly comparable claims about output quality.

Should you buy the Canon PIXMA G3270?
Consider the G3270 if you want a home all-in-one with refillable ink, wireless printing, and a flatbed scanner, and you are comfortable turning pages manually for two-sided documents. Its strong point on paper is Canon’s high rated ink yield; the trade-offs are modest rated speeds and a basic workflow without duplexing or an ADF.
Before choosing it over another printer, compare current purchase and genuine-ink prices, then consider whether you need faster output, automatic double-sided printing, or batch scanning. The available evidence does not establish a current price, cost per page, warranty terms, or a measurable advantage over specific alternatives.
