Jellynauts is a seasonal theme, not one single Candy Crush Saga event. In the 2026 Spooky Season, it covers at least two different activities: Halloween Horde, where you play Saga Map levels and rescue friends, and Gold Heist, a timed Purple Candy leaderboard tournament. They share the same Halloween setting but use different goals, level requirements, schedules and reward structures.
That distinction matters when you are deciding how to play. Horde rewards ordinary level progression, while Gold Heist rewards comparative performance against other players. The season also includes the Spooky Scenes collection, and its format differs sharply from recent events such as Music Season 2026 and All Stars 2025.
What “Jellynauts” means in Spooky Season 2026
King Community’s 2026 Spooky Season announcement presents Jellynauts as the story and theme tying several activities together. It does not describe one universal Jellynaut mode with one scoring system. Instead, the announcement separates the season into named activities with different ways to make progress.

The 2026 Spooky Season runs from October 12 through November 9. Those dates describe this edition, not a guaranteed annual calendar. Gold Heist has its own shorter window, from October 26 through November 5, so it is not active for the entire season.

The official announcement summarizes Gold Heist this way: “Collect Purple Candies to climb the leaderboard and compete through three rounds for a chance to win the grand prize – 250 Gold Bars!” The words “chance” and “leaderboard” are important: 250 Gold Bars is not an automatic participation reward.

Use the level gates as eligibility guidance, not as a guarantee that every account will show every activity. The event card, in-game terms and your account’s available features control what you can actually enter.
How Halloween Horde works
Halloween Horde is the progression-focused part of the Jellynaut season. Your basic task is to continue playing the Saga Map while completing a rescue objective. Unlike Gold Heist, the announcement does not frame Horde as a competition with a published leaderboard or a three-round elimination structure.

- Reach at least level 11, the level at which the announcement says Halloween Horde becomes available.
- Open the Halloween Horde activity from the event panel when it appears on your account.
- Play the listed Saga Map levels and follow the rescue objective for the friends shown in the activity.
- Claim rewards as the activity records your progress. The announcement confirms rewards along the way but does not provide a complete item-by-item list in the referenced section.
What counts as progress
Horde progress is tied to moving through the Saga Adventure and completing rescues. The published description does not give a separate points formula, a score multiplier or a ranking cutoff. Therefore, treat it as a level-and-objective activity rather than trying to optimize for a Purple Candy total or a position on a leaderboard.
Who should prioritize Horde
- Players below level 25 can still participate once they reach the level-11 requirement, even though Gold Heist has a higher gate.
- Players who prefer predictable progress over competition can work through Saga Map levels without waiting for tournament results.
- Players who want rewards during normal level play can use Horde as a parallel objective instead of changing their entire playing style.
The announcement does not say that Horde completion qualifies you for Gold Heist, nor does it say that Horde rewards improve your tournament ranking. Keep the two activities separate unless your in-game instructions explicitly connect them.

How Gold Heist works
Gold Heist changes the question from “How many levels can I clear?” to “How many Purple Candies can I collect compared with the players in my group?” It is the competitive Jellynaut activity, and advancement depends on leaderboard performance.

The 2026 announcement lists Gold Heist as available from level 25. Its published schedule is:

The announcement does not publish the exact local-time conversion for every region, the number of players who advance from each stage, or the score required to qualify. It also does not list every prize tier. Check the live event panel and terms shown in your game rather than treating an unofficial cutoff as authoritative.
How scoring differs from ordinary level play
- Play eligible levels while Gold Heist is active.
- Collect Purple Candies generated by the event’s levels or objectives.
- Let the event screen record your total and position on the leaderboard.
- At the end of the qualifier, compare your result with the advancement rule displayed for your group.
- If you advance, continue collecting Purple Candies during knockouts and then the final.
Because the published announcement does not specify the precise Candy-generation rules, do not assume that every level, booster or special-candy combination produces the same number of Purple Candies. The event interface is the definitive place to see which actions count for your session.
What the 250-Gold-Bar prize means
The stated grand prize is a chance to win 250 Gold Bars. That wording does not promise 250 Gold Bars to everyone who enters, everyone who reaches the knockout round or even everyone who reaches the final. It describes the top prize opportunity in a tournament whose advancement is based on leaderboard results.

The announcement does not state the complete distribution of prizes below the grand prize. Do not convert the 250-Gold-Bar figure into an expected payout or assume that qualifying guarantees a fixed number of bars.

Practical Gold Heist preparation
- Confirm that your account is at least level 25 before the qualifier opens.
- Note the 09:00 CET transition time and convert it to your own time zone so you do not mistake the displayed date for a local midnight deadline.
- Read the event card for the current round’s scoring instructions before spending boosters.
- Record your leaderboard position during the round; a high total early in the window may not remain sufficient near the cutoff.
- Capture or note the final standings and reward message if the result screen is unclear, but rely on the in-game terms for any dispute.
Spooky Scenes: the collection inside the season
Spooky Scenes is another component of the 2026 Halloween period. The announcement says it contains 81 pins across nine themed sets and is available from level 50. That is a collection target, not a statement that players must complete 81 Saga Map levels.
The pin count and set count are edition-specific figures. The cited announcement does not enumerate every reward attached to each set in the section describing the collection, so the collection screen should be treated as the source for individual milestone rewards. Do not borrow the record-collection rules from Music Season or the leaderboard rules from Gold Heist for Spooky Scenes.
How Jellynauts differs from Music Season 2026
Music Season 2026 is a useful recent comparison because it also used the Saga Map, but its structure was an episodic collection adventure rather than the two-part Jellynaut design. King Community’s Music Season 2026 announcement describes four episodes containing around 60 levels, special levels for creating records and a 15-record collection.

The 200-Gold-Bar figure belongs to the completed Music Season collection. It is not a Jellynaut reward and should not be used to estimate what Spooky Scenes or Halloween Horde will pay.

How Jellynauts differs from All Stars 2025
All Stars 2025 provides a comparison for another competitive format. Its official FAQ and terms described collecting All Stars Candies, moving through stage leaderboards and advancing when you ranked highly enough. It also listed eligibility conditions that were specific to that promotion.

Do not transfer All Stars’ age, country or level rules to Gold Heist. Promotions can impose different legal and account requirements, and the 2025 FAQ itself warned that not all players would have access to every event. That historical statement explains why event visibility can vary in general, but it is not a published Gold Heist eligibility rule.
What changes for your playing strategy
If you are playing Halloween Horde
- Prioritize steady Saga Map completion and the rescue objective.
- Watch for reward claims after each milestone instead of waiting for a final leaderboard result.
- If you are below level 25, Horde may be the only Jellynaut activity available to you before the Gold Heist gate.
If you are playing Gold Heist
- Think in terms of Purple Candies per eligible play session, not merely levels cleared.
- Check the leaderboard repeatedly because qualification is relative to other players in your group.
- Plan around the 09:00 CET round change and leave enough time for the game to register a final run.
- Do not spend valuable boosters solely because the grand prize is advertised; the 250 Gold Bars are a chance-based tournament prize.
If you are collecting Spooky Scenes pins
- Confirm that you have reached level 50, the level stated for the collection.
- Track which of the nine sets still need pins so duplicate-looking progress is not mistaken for a completed set.
- Use the collection panel for the current reward details because the announcement gives the structure, not a full reward table.
Why an event may not appear on your account
Event availability is not guaranteed solely by the season dates or by reaching a listed level. A missing event can result from the activity’s own schedule, account rollout, platform version, regional terms or a feature that has not been enabled for your account.
- Check the date first. Gold Heist is scheduled for October 26–November 5, while the wider Spooky Season began October 12.
- Check the level gate: level 11 for Halloween Horde, level 25 for Gold Heist and level 50 for Spooky Scenes.
- Open the event hub and scroll through all cards; a seasonal activity may not use the same icon as the main Saga Map.
- Update Candy Crush Saga through your device’s official app store, then restart the game.
- Read the event’s terms and regional notices. Historical All Stars terms show that some events can have restricted access, but those restrictions must not be assumed to apply identically to Gold Heist.
- If the activity still does not appear after its scheduled start, contact King’s support from within the game and include your player ID, device, operating-system version and a screenshot of the event area.
Player comments on the King Community page include reports of delayed visibility, but anecdotes do not establish a universal rollout rule. The event screen and the applicable terms for your account are more reliable than another player’s screenshot.
