Yes—AION 2 is available on PC. Its official launch was October 5, 2026, and NC America lists Steam and its PURPLE platform as PC distribution options. Before downloading, compare your Windows PC’s processor, memory, graphics card, DirectX support and free storage with the official requirements below. Those requirements are publisher guidance, not a performance benchmark: they do not promise a particular frame rate or describe results at every resolution.
What AION 2 is and where to play it on PC
AION 2 is an open-world fantasy MMORPG built for PC. NC America describes a world focused on flight and freedom of movement, with underwater exploration and aerial combat across PvE and PvP activities. The company’s April 2026 announcement named Steam and NC’s PURPLE platform as distribution options. Its service launch date was October 5, 2026; the announcement said Founder’s Pack purchasers received Early Access beginning September 30, five days earlier. Those dates are past, not upcoming. Check the official AION 2 site and the current listings for Steam and PURPLE for present availability and setup requirements in your region.
NC’s April announcement named locally hosted servers in North America, South America, Europe and Japan, and listed 10 in-game language choices: English, German, French, Spanish, Portuguese, Japanese, Korean, Russian, Simplified Chinese and Traditional Chinese. Server regions and language options can change, so verify current details on the official site before choosing a platform or setting up an account.

The following specifications are listed by the AION 2 Global Support FAQ, dated July 21, 2026 in the available listing. They are official minimum and recommended requirements, not independently tested performance results.

The FAQ’s 100 GB figure is listed as available storage for both tiers; it is not a guarantee that the installed game will always occupy exactly that amount. Leave room for the operating system, updates and other files. The FHD preset notes are compatibility guidance, not benchmark-backed recommendations for other resolutions or a promise of smooth play.
Can my PC run AION 2?
Compare your complete system with the FAQ rather than relying on one component. A graphics card at the listed level does not make up for an unsupported operating system, insufficient memory or too little free storage. If a component is below minimum, the available official figures do not establish whether or how well the game will run. The FAQ also does not specify expected frame rates, laptop equivalents for desktop graphics cards, or performance on hardware above the listed tiers.

- In Windows, check your system’s edition and type to confirm it is Windows 10 or 11, 64-bit.
- Compare your exact CPU and GPU models with the listed AMD/Intel processors and NVIDIA graphics cards; check the GPU’s VRAM as well.
- Confirm that the PC has at least the listed memory and DirectX 12 support.
- Check that at least 100 GB is available, while keeping extra space for Windows, updates and other installed files.
- If you meet the minimum tier, treat Very Low at FHD as the FAQ’s compatibility starting point. If you meet the recommended tier, its FHD note is Low. The FAQ does not provide a tested settings guide beyond those notes.
How to choose between Steam and PURPLE
NC America named both Steam and PURPLE as PC platforms, but the cited announcement does not establish that one performs better or offers different gameplay. Compare their current regional availability, account requirements and installation steps before selecting one. Use the platform listing and official AION 2 notices for current information rather than assuming the original launch arrangements still apply.

NC America describes combat as combining traditional tab-targeting with precision, timing, positioning and movement. The game’s announced PvE range includes solo and four-player dungeons and eight-player raids; PvP includes 1v1 and 4v4 arenas, cross-server Realm-vs-Realm battles and the faction-based Abyss. The announcement also lists eight classes and more than 200 character-customization features. These are broad feature descriptions, not a class ranking or a tested guide to builds and combat tactics.

The official site showcases five-player dungeons including Krao Cave, Urugugu Canyon, Fire Temple and Draupnir. It describes pets as companions that can become rideable mounts and provide benefits such as auto-looting. Those examples do not establish a complete list of available content or which activities or pets a new player should prioritize.
Practical tips before starting
- Check compatibility before spending money. Match your PC’s CPU, RAM, GPU and VRAM, Windows edition, DirectX support and free storage against the current official FAQ. If you need new hardware, verify its exact specifications against the current requirements rather than relying on a product label.
- Use the preset note as a starting point, not a performance promise. The FAQ specifies Very Low at FHD for minimum-tier hardware and Low at FHD for recommended-tier hardware. It does not establish ideal settings for other resolutions or a guaranteed frame rate.
- Expect coordination in group content. The publisher’s descriptions of dungeons and raids emphasize movement and combat mechanics; learning encounter patterns and communicating with a party are reasonable expectations, not a source-verified strategy for any particular encounter.
- Check current notices for time-sensitive details. Launch rewards and claim deadlines are not permanent features. The official site is the place to verify whether a particular reward or service detail is still available.
What the published specifications do—and do not—tell you
The official FAQ is useful for deciding whether a PC meets the game’s listed hardware threshold. It does not provide independent benchmarks, frame-rate targets, install-size forecasts beyond the stated available-storage requirement, tested laptop GPU mappings, or optimization advice beyond the two FHD preset notes. Treat the specifications as a compatibility checklist, not a promise about the experience on a particular machine.
