Yes, an eligible US resident is expected to be able to send USDC internationally—but Samsung had not yet launched the feature as of October 13, 2026. Samsung lists Solana and Sui among its network-support partners, but has not specified which networks will be available in Samsung Wallet at launch. A recipient’s wallet must support USDC on a network Samsung Wallet supports.
Samsung also plans a separate route for sending money to qualifying bank accounts in more than 60 countries; recipients may receive local currency and do not need a crypto wallet. The two routes have different eligibility, fees and delivery considerations.
When does Samsung Wallet USDC launch, and who can use it?
Samsung announced the feature on October 7, 2026, and scheduled its launch for the last week of October. As of October 13, it was still upcoming. Samsung says USDC will be the first supported stablecoin. The announcement describes possible expansion into additional markets in the future, subject to local regulatory developments; it does not establish that residents outside the US can use the service.

Samsung has not published the exact Galaxy model list for this stablecoin feature. General compatibility with Samsung Wallet does not by itself establish that a particular phone qualifies. See Samsung’s US announcement and its Mobile Press announcement and footnotes for the stated requirements.
What does “outside the US” mean for a transfer?
The announced US-resident eligibility rule concerns the sender; it does not mean every international transfer is barred. Samsung describes two different ways an eligible US sender may send value abroad:

Samsung says bank payouts are planned for eligible accounts in more than 60 countries. That figure refers to potential bank-account destinations, not universal access: the supported-country list is expected to appear in the app, and some banks or account types may not qualify. Transfers to sanctioned jurisdictions are prohibited. Samsung’s announcement is the source for these route details.
Can you send USDC specifically on Solana?
Solana is a named partner, and Samsung says Solana and Sui are among the partners supporting blockchain-network infrastructure. The Solana Foundation also describes the integration as supporting stablecoins on Solana. However, neither announcement gives a definitive list of networks selectable in the app at launch or confirms that every USDC token on Solana can be sent to every destination.

Before sending, check both the network shown in Samsung Wallet and the receiving wallet or exchange’s deposit instructions. The destination must support USDC on that same supported network. Do not assume that a wallet address works across networks, or bridge or send funds between chains based only on the partnership announcement. What about other USDC networks?
The announcements do not establish which other networks will be available, or whether any particular network beyond those named by Samsung will be selectable at launch. A partner relationship is not the same as confirmation that a network is enabled for transfers in the app. Confirm the network choice and destination compatibility in Samsung Wallet before approving a transfer; if the exact network is not supported by both sides, do not proceed.

Who holds and moves the USDC?
Samsung says it does not hold customer funds and is not the bank, money transmitter or digital-asset custodian for the service. Its announcement describes Bastion as providing the stablecoin account and movement framework, while Coinbase identifies itself as the USDC subcustodian through Coinbase Prime Vault. These are the announced roles for the service, not a guarantee of redemption outcomes or protection from crypto risks. Transfers require biometric authentication on a registered compatible device and are subject to partner terms.

What to verify before sending
- That you meet Samsung’s US-resident eligibility requirements and your specific Galaxy model qualifies for the stablecoin feature.
- For a crypto transfer, that Samsung Wallet and the recipient provider support USDC on the same network.
- For a bank payout, that the destination country, bank and account type appear as supported in the app, and what currency the recipient will receive.
- The displayed fee and estimated delivery time for the selected route before you confirm.
