Yes. JioGames Cloud supports both wired and wireless controllers on desktop, mobile and TV. JioGames describes this as platform-level support, so a controller can connect to your device while an individual game may still offer only touch, keyboard-and-mouse or other controls. Confirm the model on JioGames’ supported-controller list and check the title’s own details before starting a session.

For a dependable setup, use Google Chrome on a computer, the JioGames app on Android or iOS, and the JioGames app on a Jio Set-top Box or Android TV. Connection quality affects streaming separately from controller detection: JioGames states 40 Mbps as a minimum, recommends 100 Mbps or more, and prefers 5 GHz Wi-Fi or 5G.

What controller support on JioGames Cloud actually means

JioGames’ Cloud FAQ says, “Yes, both wired and wireless controllers are supported across desktop, mobile, and TV.” That statement covers the Cloud service and its main device categories; it is not a guarantee that every game accepts a gamepad or that every controller model behaves identically on every device.

There are three separate checks:

  • Service support: JioGames Cloud accepts controller input on supported desktop, mobile and TV platforms.
  • Device connection: Your computer, phone, television or set-top box must recognize the controller through USB, Bluetooth or its own wireless receiver.
  • Game support: The particular Cloud title must be programmed to accept a controller. JioGames says control options can vary by device and directs players to game details or its compatibility list.

Keeping those checks separate explains most “controller not working” reports. A gamepad can be paired successfully yet do nothing in a title that exposes only touch controls, or a supported game can fail to respond when the operating system never detected the controller.

Supported devices, apps and browser requirements

Use the platform-specific route below. The connection and software requirements come from JioGames’ current Cloud FAQ; they describe access to the streaming service, not a promise that a particular game or controller will work.

Target device JioGames access method Controller approach Important qualification
Desktop or laptop JioGames Cloud website in Google Chrome Connect a compatible USB or wireless controller before launching the game; keyboard and mouse are also supported. JioGames identifies Chrome as the only supported desktop browser. Enable hardware acceleration and allow pop-ups for the Cloud site if requested.
Android phone or tablet JioGames app, then Cloud Games Pair a Bluetooth controller or attach a compatible wired model recognized by Android. Check the exact model and title. JioGames calls the app the best experience compared with mobile-browser access.
iPhone or iPad JioGames app, then Cloud Games Use a controller that iOS recognizes, then open the game in the app. Service-level support does not establish compatibility for every controller or game; verify both before troubleshooting the stream.
Jio Set-top Box JioGames app on the set-top box Pair a compatible wireless controller or connect a supported wired model as the hardware permits. Jio’s separate product FAQ says its Jio Game Controller works with the set-top box and recommends it for the best results.
Android TV JioGames app on Android TV Pair the controller through the television’s input settings, then launch Cloud Games. Confirm that the television recognizes the controller before opening a title.

On a computer, do not switch to another browser as a first troubleshooting step: JioGames lists Google Chrome as the supported desktop browser. On phones and televisions, use the app path rather than assuming the mobile website offers identical controls.

Check these items before you pair anything

  • Identify the exact controller model and whether it is USB, Bluetooth or uses a 2.4 GHz receiver.
  • Open JioGames’ curated tested-controller page and look for that model. A listing means JioGames has tested it for its platforms; it does not turn every game into a controller-compatible game.
  • Charge a wireless controller, insert fresh batteries if applicable, or connect the USB cable securely.
  • Update the host device and the JioGames app when an update is offered, then restart the device after pairing problems.
  • For Cloud streaming, use a stable connection. JioGames states 40 Mbps minimum and recommends 100 Mbps or more, preferably over 5 GHz Wi-Fi or 5G.
  • Have a keyboard, mouse or touch controls available for the first launch. They help you open a game’s details page and determine whether controller input is listed.

Set up a controller on a desktop or laptop

  1. Open the supported browser. Launch Google Chrome and visit the JioGames Cloud website. Sign in to your JioGames account.
  2. Connect the controller to the operating system. For USB, plug it in directly or through a powered hub. For Bluetooth or a wireless receiver, complete pairing in the computer’s Bluetooth or device settings first. Verify that the controller appears as connected before opening the game.
  3. Check the title’s controls. Open the game information or details panel and look for controller support. A connected gamepad can still be ignored by a title that exposes only keyboard-and-mouse input.
  4. Start the Cloud session. Launch the game only after Chrome and the operating system show the controller as ready. If an in-game prompt asks for an input device, press a button on the controller rather than a keyboard key.
  5. Apply Chrome’s Cloud-site requirements. If the page will not launch or input is not passed through, use Chrome’s Settings > System page to enable “Use graphics acceleration when available,” relaunch Chrome, and allow pop-ups for the JioGames Cloud site in Chrome’s site settings.
  6. Separate input from streaming faults. If the game responds to buttons but the picture stutters or disconnects, investigate the network rather than re-pairing the controller.

JioGames’ desktop guidance also permits keyboard and mouse input. That fallback is useful for navigating menus in games whose controller mapping is incomplete.

Set up a controller on Android or iOS

  1. Install or open the JioGames app. Sign in, then choose Cloud Games. JioGames says the app provides the best mobile experience compared with browser access.
  2. Pair at the device level first. Put the controller in its Bluetooth-pairing mode, or attach its wired cable. In Android or iOS settings, wait until the controller is shown as connected. Pairing inside the game before the operating system recognizes it will not work.
  3. Check the game listing. Read the title’s details for its available control methods. The app can support controllers at the service level while a particular game exposes touch controls only.
  4. Launch after pairing. Return to JioGames, start the title and press a controller button when the game asks for input. Keep the phone awake and avoid switching Bluetooth devices during the session.
  5. Test with another known-supported title if needed. If the device sees the controller but one game does not, the title’s input implementation is the likely distinction. If no app or game sees it, remove the Bluetooth pairing, restart the phone and pair again.

JioGames does not state that every listed controller works on every iPhone, iPad or Android model. Treat the supported-controller page as a shortlist to check, not as a universal guarantee.

Set up a controller on Android TV or a Jio Set-top Box

  1. Open the television or set-top-box app. Start JioGames, sign in and navigate to Cloud Games.
  2. Pair before launching a title. Open the host’s Bluetooth or accessory settings and connect the controller. If the controller uses a USB receiver, insert it into a port that the device supports.
  3. Confirm the device name. The accessory should appear as connected in the host settings. If it does not, replace batteries, move the controller closer and retry pairing before opening JioGames.
  4. Read the title details. Verify that the game accepts controller input on the TV device. Control options can differ between a television, set-top box and mobile version of the same service.
  5. Launch and test all primary buttons. Check navigation, confirm, back and movement controls in a low-stakes menu before beginning a session.

Jio’s product FAQ says the Jio Game Controller is compatible with Android devices and Jio Set-top Box and recommends the set-top box for the best results. That product-specific statement should not be expanded into a claim that every third-party controller works identically on every TV.

Pair the Jio Game Controller

The following sequence applies to Jio’s own controller, not automatically to third-party models:

Special offer. See more information about Outbyte and uninstall instructions. Please review EULA and Privacy policy.
  1. Turn on the controller with the Jio button.
  2. Hold Select and Start together for five seconds.
  3. Wait until the first two LEDs blink green at the same time.
  4. On the host device, open the Bluetooth or controller list and select the entry named Jio JGC 100 xxxx, where the final characters identify the unit.
  5. Return to JioGames and launch a title that lists controller input.

According to Jio’s Jio Game Controller FAQ, the controller remembers the paired device and reconnects automatically. If it does not, remove the old entry from the host’s Bluetooth list and repeat the five-second Select-and-Start sequence.

Game compatibility is separate from controller compatibility

A controller that pairs with JioGames Cloud may still be unusable in a specific title. Before blaming the hardware, open the game’s details and look for its control options. JioGames’ Cloud FAQ explicitly warns that controls can vary by device and directs users to game details or the compatibility list.

This is a product-and-device-specific list. It is not a complete catalogue of JioGames Cloud titles, does not prove that only these games support controllers, and should not be applied automatically to Android phones, iPhones, Android TV or desktop Chrome. The source is Jio’s game-support FAQ.

Troubleshoot a controller that is not working

  1. Confirm the game’s input method. Use the title’s details panel first. If controller input is not listed for that game and device, pairing changes will not add it.
  2. Check the host, not just the Cloud page. Look in the computer, phone, TV or set-top-box Bluetooth and input settings. The controller must appear as connected at the operating-system level.
  3. Use the supported access path. On desktop, move to Google Chrome. On mobile and TV, use the JioGames app. Close duplicate browser tabs or apps that may have captured the controller.
  4. Re-pair cleanly. Remove the old Bluetooth entry, switch the controller off, restart the host, then pair again. For the Jio Game Controller, repeat the five-second Select-and-Start procedure and select the “Jio JGC 100 xxxx” entry.
  5. Fix Chrome prerequisites. Enable hardware acceleration and allow pop-ups for the Cloud site. Relaunch Chrome after changing those settings.
  6. Test a different connection type. If a wireless model is unreliable, try a wired controller listed by JioGames, provided the host has a compatible USB port. If a wired controller is not detected, try another port and confirm that the cable carries data rather than power only.
  7. Check streaming quality independently. A delayed picture, audio breakup or disconnection points to the network. JioGames states 40 Mbps minimum and recommends 100 Mbps or more; use 5 GHz Wi-Fi or 5G when possible.
  8. Contact support when the checks pass. JioGames directs unresolved Cloud issues to support@jiogames.com. Include the host device, browser or app, controller model, game title and the step at which input fails.

Streaming speed versus controller latency

Cloud gaming sends the game video to your screen and returns your controller input to the server. A controller can be recognized perfectly while an unstable connection makes every button press appear late. Conversely, a fast connection cannot help if the game or host does not recognize the controller.

  • Minimum stated by JioGames: 40 Mbps.
  • Recommended: 100 Mbps or more.
  • Preferred access: 5 GHz Wi-Fi or 5G.
  • Symptoms of a network problem: stuttering video, delayed audio, sudden quality drops or disconnections.
  • Symptoms of an input problem: the stream is smooth but buttons, sticks or triggers do nothing.

Run the controller test and the network test separately. This prevents replacing a working gamepad when the actual fault is Wi-Fi congestion or an unsupported game.

Useful facts about the Jio Game Controller

Jio’s product FAQ, checked in October 2026, states that up to four Jio Game Controllers can be connected at once. The same page states a one-hour full-charge time and a six-month warranty from the invoice date. These figures apply to Jio’s own controller and should not be assumed for the third-party models on JioGames’ shortlist.

For the Jio controller, the safest order is: pair it with the host, verify the host lists it as connected, open a title that supports controller input on that device, and only then diagnose Cloud streaming. The product instructions and compatibility details are on Jio’s controller FAQ.
