Yes. MNT Station is an enclosure and platform designed to let you reuse an MNT Reform mainboard as a standalone computer. MNT describes uses including a desktop, homelab, NAS, entertainment center, or wall-mounted edge device/router. It is part of MNT’s Reform ecosystem—not a generic case for arbitrary motherboards—so confirm your board revision and processor-module compatibility before ordering.
What you need for a Station build
MNT’s August 2026 example centers on three components: the MNT Station case, a Reform Mainboard 3.0, and an MNT processor module. The update recommends the RCORE RK3588 Upgrade Kit with 16 GB of RAM for its example build. That recommendation needs to be read alongside MNT’s compatibility page, which labels RCORE RK3588 Station support “In development.” Check the current configuration and compatibility information before purchasing; the two dated pages do not establish that this module is currently available for every Station configuration.
- Station enclosure: the case/platform that turns the Reform board into a standalone computer.
- Reform mainboard: MNT’s example uses Mainboard 3.0. If you plan to reuse an existing board, verify its revision and current support rather than assuming every older board fits.
- Processor module: MNT modules are System-on-Modules that plug into the Reform motherboard’s central 200-pin SO-DIMM connector. Select a module shown as compatible with the Station configuration you intend to buy.
MNT’s parts list also names optional components such as a standalone keyboard, protected battery board, dual USB-C expansion, camera, CM4 adapters, Wi-Fi adapter and module, antenna and pigtail, battery-board cable, and Kingston SSDs in 512 GB and 1 TB capacities. The list does not specify an SSD model, interface, or form factor, so do not treat those capacity entries as proof that a particular drive will fit.
Check module compatibility before choosing parts
MNT’s module comparison organizes choices around processor and graphics, memory, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth, Ethernet, PCIe, display outputs, firmware openness, driver support, schematics, and USB/HDMI. Those are useful decision points, but the right combination depends on the intended workload and required connections—not just processor speed.

The compatibility information is time-sensitive. MNT’s module page, accessed October 7, 2026, shows several modules as Station-compatible and RCORE RK3588 as “In development.” Separately, MNT’s August 2026 update recommends the RCORE RK3588 Upgrade Kit for its Station example. Because these statements differ, confirm the live purchase/configuration page and compatibility notes for your exact board and module before ordering.
- Confirm the Reform mainboard revision and the processor module’s Station status.
- Check whether the selected configuration supports your needed display outputs, networking, and expansion.
- Verify cooling and any required adapters or cables for the exact parts you plan to use.
- Confirm the drive’s interface and physical form factor with MNT; the listed capacities alone do not settle either detail.
Choose a role for the repurposed computer
MNT presents Station for several roles: a standalone desktop, a homelab, a NAS, a low-power entertainment center, or a wall-mounted edge device/router. These are manufacturer-described use cases, not independent performance tests. The available sources do not establish benchmark results, measured power use, or noise levels, so size the build for your workload and verify component support rather than assuming a particular performance or efficiency level.

Account for dated availability information
MNT’s September 3, 2026 update said production of Reform Mainboard 3.0 was planned for September and estimated fulfillment 5–6 months after order for that part at the time. That is a historical estimate, not a current delivery promise. Check current availability and fulfillment information before placing an order. The campaign’s $1 goal was a campaign goal, not the Station’s retail price.
