No—not as a supported setup. Xbox does not list PS5 among its Xbox Cloud Gaming devices, and Sony says PS5 does not include a dedicated web browser app. Xbox Cloud Gaming is designed to run at xbox.com/play in a supported browser on a supported device, or through an Xbox app where available. A browser reached through a PS5 interface is not a verified or officially documented way to play.
Why Xbox Cloud Gaming is not supported on PS5
Xbox’s supported-device guidance lists categories including PCs, phones and tablets, selected smart TVs, and Amazon Fire TV; it does not list PS5. Sony’s PS5: The Ultimate FAQ, published November 9, 2020, says: “No, the PS5 system doesn’t include a dedicated web browser app.”
That distinction matters: Xbox names the PlayStation DualSense as a controller that can work with Xbox Cloud Gaming on supported devices, but controller compatibility does not make the PS5 itself a supported streaming device. Xbox’s current guidance describes browser play on supported devices, not a PS5 browser workaround.

How to play Xbox Cloud Gaming on a supported device
- Choose a supported device. Xbox lists supported PCs; Apple and Android phones and tablets; select LG, Samsung, and VIDAA smart TVs; Amazon Fire TV; and other device categories. Check Xbox’s current device guidance for your exact model and region, since category-level support does not guarantee every model works.
- Open the service. On a supported device using the browser route, go to xbox.com/play in a supported browser such as Microsoft Edge, Google Chrome, or Safari. Sign in with the Microsoft account that has the required access. Some supported devices may use an Xbox app instead.
- Check access and game availability. Xbox generally requires an active Xbox Game Pass plan and a supported game in a supported region. Select free-to-play games can be played with a free Microsoft account in supported regions. Availability can vary by time, region, plan, and platform, so check the live catalog and the terms for your account.
- Connect a controller. Pair a compatible controller over Bluetooth or connect it by USB. Xbox lists the Xbox Wireless Controller, Xbox Adaptive Controller, PlayStation DualSense, and DualShock 4 for cloud gaming on supported devices. Select games also support touch controls.
- Check your connection. Xbox specifies a minimum download speed of 10 Mbps; some devices may require 20 Mbps for best quality. Xbox recommends 5 GHz Wi-Fi.
What to use instead of the PS5
If you want to stream Xbox games, use a device Xbox currently lists as supported rather than relying on a route through the PS5 interface. Before choosing, check these practical points:

- Whether it can run a supported browser or the Xbox app required for that device.
- Whether you can connect a compatible controller by Bluetooth or USB.
- Whether your plan and the specific game are available for cloud play where you live.
- Whether your internet connection meets Xbox’s stated speed guidance.
Xbox’s device categories and game catalog can change. Confirm current compatibility and availability on Xbox’s cloud gaming page before setting up a device.
