Yes—as a creative photography activity, not as an official game feature. You can arrange LEGO Pokémon and scenery, then photograph the scene like a page in a Pokémon Snap field guide. The sources establish separate Pokémon Snap games and LEGO Pokémon sets; they do not establish a LEGO set or mode that connects to either game.
What Pokémon Snap has to do with LEGO
The idea borrows from the games’ photography, rather than linking physical bricks to the software. The original Pokémon Snap sends players on a camera-based safari across Pokémon Island, which the Pokémon page describes as having more than 60 species across several biomes. Players travel in the all-terrain ZERO-ONE vehicle. The game became available on Nintendo Switch through Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion Pack on June 24, 2022. Pokémon’s game page has those details.
New Pokémon Snap is the Nintendo Switch follow-up inspired by the 1999 Nintendo 64 game. In the Lental region, players conduct an ecological survey with Professor Mirror and fill a Photodex with photos of wild Pokémon. Nintendo says photos are scored on factors including a Pokémon’s pose, apparent size and whether it faces the camera. A melody or tossed fluffruit can help attract Pokémon. Nintendo’s game page describes the gameplay.

A free update added three areas, each with day and night versions, and 20 more Pokémon. Nintendo also says the game behaves consistently on Nintendo Switch 2. These are game details, not features of LEGO builds.

How to make a LEGO Pokémon photo safari
Choose a habitat, stage a moment, and take several pictures. Treat the result as your own miniature field guide: the goal is to find a frame that shows the Pokémon’s pose and its setting clearly.
- Pick a habitat. Use a forest, beach, cave or riverbank as a starting point. Bricks, paper scenery and existing figures are all options; a LEGO Pokémon set is not required.
- Arrange a scene. Place a Pokémon figure in a resting or action pose. Add a few details that make the habitat readable, such as plants, rocks or water.
- Take a few angles. Photograph the setup from different viewpoints, changing the distance or angle so the figure’s expression, pose and scale come across differently.
- Choose the strongest frame. Compare the photos: Which one shows the figure best? Which makes the habitat easiest to recognize? Keep the answers as captions or short field notes if you want to build a small Photodex-style collection.
This is a suggested activity inspired by the games’ photography mechanics, not an official LEGO or Pokémon tutorial.

Which LEGO Pokémon set fits the activity?
LEGO’s official US catalog includes SMART Play: Drone Search for Mythical Mew, Eevee and Lapras’s Treasure Hunt, among other LEGO Pokémon products. The Drone Search set’s exploration theme can suit a Snap-inspired scene; Eevee or Lapras can also be a starting point for a habitat photo. These are LEGO Pokémon builds, not Pokémon Snap products.
