Yes. Samsung’s Galaxy Store lists Genshin Impact as a free download, but that does not guarantee it will install or run on every Samsung phone or tablet. Check the listing on your exact device and compare its specifications with HoYoverse’s Android requirements before troubleshooting or upgrading.

Will it work on your Samsung phone or tablet?
Samsung’s model name or Galaxy series is not enough to determine compatibility. Compare the exact device’s Android version, processor and GPU, RAM, and available storage with HoYoverse’s published Android specifications. Then check whether the store listing on that device offers installation.

These are HoYoverse’s Android requirements, published in its Help Center and updated November 11, 2025. HoYoverse says storage needs may increase with future updates, so treat the listed space as a current baseline rather than a permanent ceiling. HoYoverse’s system requirements.
How to check compatibility before downloading
- Open a store on the Samsung device. Search for Genshin Impact in Galaxy Store or Google Play and open the game’s listing. Check whether it offers an Install option and whether it reports a compatibility issue.
- Check the device’s software and hardware. In Settings, look up the Android version, RAM, processor or chipset, and GPU. Menu names vary by Samsung model and software version; device specifications are also available in the model’s product information.
- Compare with HoYoverse’s requirements. Confirm the Android version, chipset/GPU class, and RAM against the minimum specifications above. Allow at least 40 GB of free storage to meet the supported baseline, or 60 GB for the recommended configuration.
- Check the result in your location. Store availability may differ by country and device configuration. A listing on one Samsung device or in one region does not establish availability for every Samsung user.
Why installation can fail
An unavailable Install option or a failed download does not by itself mean the game is unsupported on all Samsung devices. Possible causes include a device that falls below the requirements, regional or device-specific store restrictions, low storage, an outdated software version, or a network problem. Samsung recommends checking the app listing’s compatibility information and basic installation conditions. Samsung’s app installation support.

What to try first
- Check that the device has a stable internet connection.
- Free enough storage for the applicable requirement and the game’s download and updates.
- Install available Android or system updates, then check the store listing again.
- Verify the exact device’s compatibility in Galaxy Store or Google Play rather than relying on a different model’s result.
- If the device is below HoYoverse’s minimum specifications, further downloads or storage cleanup may not resolve performance or startup problems.
