Yes, you can play games on an Intel Arc 130T. It is built-in mobile graphics rather than a replaceable desktop card, and published tests show it running games on laptops such as the Asus ExpertBook B5 B5605CCA and Dell 15 D15260. However, there is no universal Arc 130T frame-rate figure. Results depend on the exact laptop, Core Ultra processor configuration, memory layout, cooling, power mode, driver, game patch, resolution and quality preset.
Use the process below to check a specific game and laptop instead of treating the Arc 130T name as a guarantee of performance.
What Intel Arc 130T is
Intel lists Arc 130T as built-in mobile graphics. On Intel’s 130T/130V product entry, the published specifications are:

The specification row groups Arc 130T with Arc 130V, so those figures should not be presented as an independently measured Arc 130T gaming result. The GPU also should not be assumed to have a fixed pool of dedicated VRAM. Check the laptop’s documentation to see how system memory is allocated and whether the manufacturer exposes any graphics-memory settings.

Because the graphics processor is part of the laptop platform, you normally cannot replace it with a faster Arc model. A different laptop, a different power design or an external graphics solution would be a platform change, not an Arc 130T upgrade.
What the available game tests actually show
Notebookcheck’s Arc 130T database includes systems using the Core Ultra 5 225H, including the Asus ExpertBook B5 B5605CCA and Dell 15 D15260. Its entries demonstrate that results change with the game and the test setup:

The database is useful secondary evidence, but it is not a controlled comparison of every manufacturer configuration. A laptop can use the same named GPU while applying different sustained power limits, cooling capacity, firmware and memory arrangements. Treat each benchmark as a result for the named laptop and settings.

Define “playable” before checking a game
People use “playable” to mean different things. Decide which of these targets matters to you before interpreting a benchmark:
- Resolution: 1,280 × 720, 1,920 × 1,080 or the laptop’s native panel resolution.
- Quality: low, medium, high or a custom mix.
- Frame-rate goal: a stable experience, a 30-frame target, a 60-frame target or the highest practical rate for the display.
- Power condition: plugged-in performance mode or battery operation.
- Image-quality tools: any in-game upscaling, dynamic resolution or frame-generation option.
A result that is acceptable at 720p low may be unsuitable at 1080p high. Conversely, a game tested at 1080p low may have room for a custom medium setting. Always compare like with like.

How to identify your exact Arc 130T laptop
Do not rely on a retailer’s short product name. Manufacturers often sell several memory, display and power configurations under one family name.
- Record the full model and SKU. In Windows, open Settings > System > About and copy the model information. The manufacturer’s support page or service manual may list an additional product number.
- Confirm the graphics label. Open Task Manager with
Ctrl+Shift+Esc, choose Performance, and inspect the GPU entry. Intel Graphics Software or the graphics section of Windows can provide another name. Labels can change after a driver or firmware update, so record the date and driver version. - Check the processor pairing. The published Arc 130T examples cited above use Core Ultra 5 225H. A different processor or platform may have different limits even if a store description uses similar Arc wording.
- Read the exact manual. Look for memory type, number of channels, soldered and replaceable modules, supported capacities, BIOS options and the manufacturer’s recommended configurations.
- Record operating conditions. Note whether the charger is connected, which performance mode is selected, the display resolution, refresh rate and any cooling setting.
This information gives you a reproducible identity for the machine. It also prevents using a benchmark from a higher-power configuration as if it were a result for your own laptop.
Step-by-step: check whether a particular game is a sensible match
1. Start with the game’s requirements
Read the developer or publisher’s minimum and recommended requirements for the current version of the game. Check the required operating-system version, graphics API, available memory and storage as well as the GPU name. A game can launch while still delivering an unsatisfactory experience, so requirements are a compatibility starting point, not a performance promise.
2. Find a test with matching conditions
Search for the exact game on a benchmark database such as Notebookcheck and prefer the same laptop model or a very close Core Ultra 5 225H configuration. Match the resolution, preset and upscaling mode. If the test omits one of those details, treat it as weaker evidence.
3. Compare the laptop, not just the GPU label
Check sustained power behavior, cooling design, memory channel arrangement and display resolution. Two Arc 130T systems can produce different sustained results because the manufacturer gives the processor and graphics engine different thermal or electrical limits.

4. Install the appropriate driver
First check the laptop maker’s support page for its graphics driver, BIOS and platform updates. Compare that package with Intel’s currently applicable driver and release notes. An OEM-customized package may be preferable when the manufacturer lists it as the supported version.
5. Test in a controlled session
Connect the charger, select the intended performance mode, close unnecessary background applications and use the same resolution and preset as the reference test. Record the driver, game patch, graphics API, upscaling setting and whether the laptop is plugged in. Make a short repeatable run in the same game area before changing settings.
Settings that usually matter most
When a game is close to your target, change one variable at a time so you can see what helped.
- Resolution: Moving from 1080p to 720p reduces the number of pixels the graphics engine must process. The published Arc 130T entries for Strange Brigade deliberately show both 720p and 1080p workloads; they should not be treated as interchangeable.
- Preset: Lowering a preset can reduce shadows, effects, view distance and other expensive options. A custom mix may preserve texture quality while reducing the settings that cost the most performance.
- Upscaling or dynamic resolution: If the game offers these options, test them at the quality level that keeps text and interfaces readable. Record the mode when comparing with another result.
- Power mode: Use the laptop’s intended plugged-in performance profile for a performance comparison. Battery mode can impose different limits.
- Thermal conditions: Keep vents clear and allow the laptop to reach a stable temperature before judging sustained performance. A short burst result can be higher than the rate maintained after several minutes.
- Frame-rate limits: A sensible cap can reduce heat and fluctuations when the laptop cannot maintain a much higher rate. Choose the cap according to your display and the game’s behavior.
Memory: can adding RAM “unlock” Arc 130T?
One Intel Community post describes an Asus Vivobook 16 X1607CA with a Core Ultra 5 225H. The user initially saw “Intel Graphics,” then reported a different graphics identification and changed game results after installing another memory module. That is an account of one laptop and one memory configuration, not proof that adding RAM unlocks Arc 130T for everyone.
Integrated graphics can be sensitive to the way system memory is arranged, but the correct capacity, module type, channel behavior and upgrade procedure are specific to the laptop. A module that fits physically may still be unsupported, may run at a different speed or may void a manufacturer’s service conditions.

- Check the service manual for supported memory types, capacities and slot population order.
- Check the BIOS and Windows reports after any change, including the total memory and graphics device name.
- Repeat the same game test with identical resolution, preset, driver and power mode.
- Keep the original module and document the before-and-after configuration in case you need to reverse the change.
Do not purchase a memory upgrade on the assumption that it universally enables a hidden Arc 130T mode. Verify the exact SKU first.
Driver and game-update compatibility
Intel’s driver release notes for version 101.8247 include a section for Core Ultra Series 2 built-in Arc graphics and list title-specific known issues. Release notes and game patches change, so use the currently applicable release rather than treating that version’s issue list as permanent.
When a game crashes, displays corruption or performs unexpectedly:
- Check the laptop manufacturer’s driver and BIOS page before replacing an OEM package with a generic Intel package.
- Read the current Intel release notes for the Arc graphics generation in your processor.
- Update the game to its current patch, or check the developer’s support notes if a new patch introduced the problem.
- Test a known-good title to separate a game-specific issue from a system-wide driver or power problem.
Intel announced on April 29, 2025, a power-management update for Arc 140V and 130V graphics in Core Ultra 200V systems. Intel said the benefit was seen primarily at or below a common 17 W power level and initially made the update available for the MSI Claw 8 AI+ and Claw 7 AI+ at a stated driver version. That announcement concerns 130V and 140V, not Arc 130T, so it must not be used as an Arc 130T benchmark or performance promise.

The game is using the wrong condition
Confirm that the charger is connected, the intended performance profile is active and the game is running at the resolution and preset you think it is. Windows and individual games can retain separate settings after an update.

The laptop is throttling
If performance falls after several minutes, check temperatures, fan behavior and the manufacturer’s thermal mode. Clean airflow and use the documented cooling position. Do not compare a brief menu or loading-screen rate with a sustained gameplay segment.
The memory configuration differs
Compare the number and arrangement of modules with the benchmark system. Consult the manual rather than assuming that more capacity or a second module is supported or beneficial for your SKU.
The driver or patch has a known issue
Review the current Intel release notes, the OEM support page and the game’s own notices. If the issue began immediately after an update, record the old and new versions and follow the manufacturer’s supported rollback process instead of installing an unverified driver utility.

Check the title, scene, resolution, preset, upscaling, driver and laptop model. A test that omits several of these details cannot reliably explain a difference of a few frames per second.
How to compare two Arc 130T laptops or a different GPU tier
If you are choosing between systems, compare the complete platform rather than the Arc label alone:

No like-for-like review evidence establishes that either of the named Notebookcheck systems is universally faster. Use matching tests for the workloads you actually play instead of ranking laptops from their model names.
A practical decision framework
- Already own an Arc 130T laptop: identify the SKU, update through the supported driver path, set a target resolution and preset, then test your game under plugged-in, stable conditions.
- Planning to buy one: locate a benchmark for the exact laptop or a closely matching configuration. If no matching result exists, treat the purchase as uncertain rather than converting another Arc 130T system’s result into a guarantee.
- Need high settings at a demanding resolution: compare the complete laptop platform with a model using a more powerful graphics solution. The Arc 130T name alone cannot establish that it will meet your target.
- Considering a memory upgrade: follow the manual and verify the before-and-after report and repeatable game test. Do not treat the Asus forum account as a universal prescription.
The most defensible answer to “what games can I run?” is therefore game-specific: identify the title, match a laptop and settings, and test the configuration you will actually use.
