Yes—if you earn the Slasher Clown Outfit, you should still be able to wear it after the Halloween event window closes. Rockstar presents it as an outfit reward, not a temporary rental. However, Rockstar’s published material reviewed for this event does not explicitly promise permanent retention of this specific cosmetic, so the most accurate wording is “expected to remain available,” not “guaranteed forever.”
If the outfit seems to vanish, check the Seasonal wardrobe category first, then use the normal saved-outfit locations: a clothes-store Outfit counter, your apartment wardrobe, or the Interaction Menu.

That combination supports the practical answer: earn it during the qualifying period, save or equip it, and expect to keep access afterward. There is an important evidence limit. The event announcement does not include a sentence specifically guaranteeing that the Slasher Clown Outfit remains permanently in every player’s wardrobe. Rockstar has made explicit “available indefinitely” statements for some other event content, but a statement about a different event cannot be applied to this outfit.

- Event availability: the dates during which the challenge can be completed.
- Reward access: the outfit being delivered to an account after the requirement is met.
- Wardrobe access: the places in the game where the delivered or saved outfit can be selected.
When an event closes, the first item normally changes—the challenge is no longer available. That alone does not establish that the second or third item is removed. Rockstar’s material reviewed for the Slasher Clown Outfit gives no expiration instruction for a reward that has already been earned.
How to unlock the outfit in the 2026 event
As of Rockstar’s listing viewed on October 13, 2026, the current schedule is October 29 through November 4, 2026. The requirement is to complete 10 waves in a Survival without dying. The reward listing also promises GTA$250,000. Because the dates were still in the future when that listing was viewed, confirm the live event page and the Weekly Challenge text in GTA Online before relying on the schedule; Rockstar can revise event calendars.
Step-by-step requirement
- Open GTA Online during the posted October 29–November 4 window.
- Start a Survival activity. The challenge wording refers to waves in a Survival, so use the activity type named by the in-game Weekly Challenge rather than assuming another mission category qualifies.
- Reach a total of 10 completed waves without your character dying. A death breaks the “without dying” condition for that attempt; restart the Survival and try again.
- Finish the qualifying run and allow the activity to end normally so the game can record completion.
- Check your wardrobe and outfit-selection menus after completion. Rockstar’s published material reviewed here does not state a fixed delivery delay for this particular 2026 reward.
What the challenge wording means
“Complete 10 waves in a Survival without dying” is stricter than merely entering a Survival or accumulating 10 waves across several failed attempts. The requirement combines a wave count with a no-death condition. Treat the run as one continuous qualification attempt unless the in-game challenge text gives different instructions.

Older guides can be accurate for their publication year and still give the wrong instructions now. Rockstar’s 2025 Halloween announcement described the Slasher Clown Outfit as part of the Vinewood Undead Collection, earned by completing the first three weeks of weekly challenges. The 2026 listing instead gives a single Survival-based requirement.

Do not attempt to satisfy the 2026 reward by following a 2025 collection checklist. Conversely, a 2025 guide cannot establish what will happen to a reward earned under the 2026 challenge.
Where to find the Slasher Clown Outfit
After the game records the reward, look in the ordinary outfit-management locations. Rockstar Customer Support’s saved-outfit guidance lists three access points:
- Clothes-store Outfit counter: visit a clothing store and use the counter to browse and select saved outfits.
- Apartment wardrobe: open the wardrobe in your apartment and check the outfit categories.
- Interaction Menu: use the Interaction Menu’s outfit option to select a saved outfit while in Freemode, where the menu permits it.
Check Seasonal before Special
A player report says the Slasher Clown Outfit appeared under Seasonal rather than Special. That is a useful troubleshooting lead, not an official Rockstar category guarantee. Menu labels and category placement can change, so inspect Seasonal first and then search the other outfit categories if it is not there.

If the outfit appears as a selectable reward, use the game’s normal saved-outfit function to store it in an available slot. Saving a copy does not create a new entitlement, but it makes the outfit easier to select from your usual wardrobe locations and reduces the chance that you overlook it after changing clothing.

If the outfit is missing after completion
Work through these checks in order. They separate a category-location problem from a reward-delivery problem.
1. Verify the challenge actually completed
Reopen the Weekly Challenge or event-progress screen and confirm that the 10-wave, no-death requirement is marked complete. Reaching 10 waves and then dying may not qualify, even if the wave counter was displayed during the run.
2. Recheck every supported wardrobe location
Look under Seasonal first, then inspect the other outfit categories. Use a clothes-store Outfit counter, your apartment wardrobe, and the Interaction Menu rather than relying on only one interface. The Seasonal report is anecdotal, so do not assume that every platform or account will display the item in exactly the same category.

Return to Freemode, wait for the activity and challenge notifications to finish, and then check the wardrobe again. Rockstar’s reviewed material does not specify a guaranteed delivery time for this outfit, so avoid treating any particular number of minutes or hours as an official deadline.

4. Check the account and character you used
Make sure you are viewing the same GTA Online account and character that completed the Survival. A reward earned on one character or account will not necessarily appear in another character’s wardrobe.
5. Contact Rockstar Support if it remains absent
If the challenge is recorded as complete and the outfit is missing from all listed locations after you have re-entered the game, contact Rockstar Support with your platform, account details, completion evidence, and the approximate date and time of the qualifying run. Do not claim that a published support policy guarantees a specific response or delivery interval for this item; the reviewed sources do not provide one.

The available material does not say that equipping another outfit, changing clothing, or letting the event end revokes an already awarded Slasher Clown Outfit. Those actions change what your character is wearing, not the challenge’s completion record. If you cannot see it afterward, treat the situation as a wardrobe-location or delivery issue and follow the checks above.
Likewise, no reviewed Rockstar source says that the outfit is automatically deleted at the end of November 4, 2026. The responsible qualification remains that Rockstar has not published a specific permanent-retention guarantee for this cosmetic.

- Capture a screenshot of the completed Weekly Challenge notification or progress screen.
- Visit a clothing store or apartment wardrobe immediately after the qualifying run.
- Look in Seasonal before assuming the item is missing.
- Save the outfit in a normal outfit slot if the interface offers that option.
- Record the event year. A 2026 reward and a 2025 collection item may have different names, categories, or earning rules.
- Use the live Rockstar event listing rather than an undated guide when the challenge window approaches.
