Sometimes. A collaboration character in HATSUNE MIKU: COLORFUL STAGE! (also called Project SEKAI) can return if SEGA and Colorful Palette schedule an official rerun or another banner that explicitly includes that character. It is not an automatic feature and there is no published promise that every collaboration will come back.
The clearest proof is the Project Sekai × Ensemble Stars!! rerun that ran from April 13 through April 27, 2026. Its notice listed four collaboration-limited members: Akito Shinonome, Toya Aoyagi, Tsukasa Tenma and Rui Kamishiro. The same notice said the members “may reappear in the future,” which is permission for another return, not a guaranteed timetable.
What “after the event ends” means
Players usually mean one of three different things when they ask whether a missed collaboration can still be obtained:

- A collaboration costume: an outfit sold or awarded through a separate costume product.
- Gacha currency or exchange items: stickers, sticker vouchers or tickets that might be usable after a banner closes.
These products do not share one availability rule. A character rerun does not automatically bring back the costume, and a costume notice does not restore the character card. Check the exact product named in the current notice.
The documented collaboration rerun: Ensemble Stars
What returned in 2026
SEGA’s April 13, 2026 announcement scheduled a rerun of the Project Sekai × Ensemble Stars!! special collaboration from April 13 to April 27, 2026. The rerun listed four collaboration-limited members:

This is a concrete example that a missed collaboration character is not necessarily gone forever. It does not establish a fixed interval between reruns, a universal policy for every crossover, or a future date for another Ensemble Stars appearance.
How to read the “may reappear” wording
The announcement’s statement that the collaboration-limited members “may reappear in the future” means SEGA and Colorful Palette retain the option to schedule another appearance. Treat “may” as conditional. It is not the same as “will return,” and it does not tell you whether a future appearance would be a full gacha, a select banner, a ticket exchange or a different product.
Which routes can bring back a missed character?
A future notice can use several formats. The banner type determines what you can obtain and which currency is accepted.

Do not infer availability from a banner’s artwork. Open the member list or exchange list and confirm the exact card name. A character appearing in promotional art may be a story guest, a free reward, a costume model or a gacha member; those are different forms of access.
Can a Gacha Sticker Voucher be used after a banner ends?
Yes, an eligible Gacha Sticker Voucher can remain usable after the current gacha banner closes. The official English Help Center states: “Plus, unlike Gacha Stickers, Gacha Sticker Vouchers can still be used even after the current gacha banner has ended.”
That sentence describes the voucher’s timing, not a blanket right to exchange for every past collaboration card. The voucher still has to be valid for the specific character or exchange shop. A voucher earned from one banner may not be accepted in a later collaboration shop, and a closed shop may no longer list the card you want.

- Confirm that the item is a Gacha Sticker Voucher, not ordinary Gacha Stickers.
- Read the voucher’s eligible-banner or eligible-character description.
- Check whether the collaboration exchange shop remains open and whether the member is listed.
- Look for an exchange limit, expiration date or server-specific restriction.
- Do not spend the voucher solely because the original banner has ended; availability is determined by the current exchange rules.
What Version 4.0 changed about reruns
The official Version 4.0.0 notes changed the cadence of limited-time gacha reruns. From October 2025, the game reduced the number of limited-time gacha rerun types from three per month to two. The notes also said that, from October 2026, the yearly rerun format would be combined into a single rerun gacha.

This is a scheduling change, not a promise that every collaboration will be included. The same notes said details for some past Birthday and Anniversary limited characters were still to be announced. Collaboration cards are a separate category, so the annual rerun format should not be treated as an automatic restoration of a particular crossover.
Collaboration costumes follow a separate rule
The COLORFUL STAGE! × Ensemble Stars!! Music Crossover Premium Gift Gacha notice illustrates the difference. It ran from September 4 to September 18, 2025, offered six collaboration costumes and priced the premium gift gacha at 3,000 paid crystals. The notice said: “These exclusive Costumes may be made available again in the future.”

That wording supports possible costume reavailability, but it does not say that the four collaboration character cards will return in the same product. A future costume rerun could use a gift gacha, paid crystals or another format; check the new notice rather than assuming the 2025 price or contents will be repeated.

Another reappearance precedent: Miku anniversary gachas
Some reappearances are tied to a character’s anniversary rather than a collaboration. The Miku Anniversary 2026 notice said: “If you missed celebrating her anniversary in previous years, her previous Anniversary Gachas will also be available.” This establishes a specific anniversary precedent for Miku’s prior anniversary gachas.

It does not create a general rule for collaboration cards. An anniversary banner may restore anniversary content while leaving crossover members unavailable. Always distinguish the banner’s theme and eligibility from the character’s normal unit or rarity.
How to check whether your missed collaboration is obtainable
- Open in-game News. Look for a notice that names the collaboration and says rerun, reappearance, revival or exchange. Do not rely on an old event story or a fan-made schedule.
- Check the official Colorful Stage channels. Confirm that the announcement applies to your server and region, because timing and content can differ between versions.
- Identify the product. Determine whether the notice is for a character gacha, a select or anniversary banner, a sticker exchange, a ticket or a costume product.
- Open the complete member or item list. Search for the exact collaboration character and card. If the name is absent, the banner does not restore that card.
- Record the dates. Note the opening and closing time, including the time zone shown in-game. A rerun can disappear while you are still holding crystals or vouchers.
- Read currency and limit rules. Confirm whether pulls require free crystals, paid crystals, tickets or a mixture, and check exchange caps, pity counts and pull limits.
- Review your vouchers. If you already hold an eligible Limited Gacha Sticker Voucher, verify that the exchange shop accepts it and that the required quantity is available.
- Save the notice or in-game details. Screenshots of the member list and exchange rules can help you avoid confusing a costume rerun with a card rerun.
Questions to ask when a rerun is announced
Is the exact character included?
Names matter more than the collaboration logo. A rerun can include only some members from the original event. The April 2026 Ensemble Stars notice named four members; it should not be read as evidence that every character associated with Ensemble Stars was available.
Is it a gacha or an exchange?
A gacha requires pulls and follows its own rates and pity or sticker system. An exchange may let you select a listed card for a fixed number of stickers or vouchers. The same character can have different costs and limits under different formats.

Which currency is accepted?
Paid crystals, free crystals, tickets, Gacha Stickers and Gacha Sticker Vouchers are not interchangeable. The costume example used 3,000 paid crystals, but that price belongs to the September 2025 costume product and should not be applied to a future character rerun.
Does the rerun include extras?
Check for costumes, stamps, profile materials, login rewards or event story access separately. A character card may return without the original login campaign, and a costume may return without the card.
Common situations
You missed the original collaboration entirely
Your only dependable route is a future official banner or exchange that explicitly lists the card. Save resources if the character is a priority, but do not assume a rerun date or reserve a voucher that the future shop may not accept.
You own the card but missed the costume
Watch for a costume-specific notice. The card’s return and the costume’s return can occur at different times, with different currencies and limits.
You have a voucher from the original banner
The Help Center confirms that a Gacha Sticker Voucher can remain usable after a banner ends. Whether you can use it for a collaboration card depends on the voucher’s eligibility and the currently open exchange list.
You see the collaboration in an anniversary announcement
Read the eligible-member list. The Miku Anniversary 2026 notice demonstrates that previous anniversary gachas can return, but that precedent does not automatically add unrelated collaboration cards.
What is not known
No official notice establishes a universal rerun timetable for collaborations or guarantees that every past crossover will return. The documented examples show that reappearance is possible, while the Version 4.0 schedule changes show that reruns are managed within a changing annual plan. Future availability can therefore depend on publisher decisions, the specific collaboration agreement and the server or regional version you play.
