Yes, you can ask Humble for a refund, but approval is discretionary rather than guaranteed. Current policy guidance reported for Humble Choice says requests are generally considered only when submitted within two weeks of the charge and before any key from that month’s bundle is revealed. Do not click “Reveal Key” or redeem a game while you decide. Submit a Humble help-center ticket with your account email, transaction ID, bundle or game names, and a brief explanation. If you only want to stop another charge, canceling Choice is a separate action: it stops future renewals but does not automatically reverse the payment you just received.
What a Humble refund request actually is
A refund request asks Humble to reverse a completed purchase. Humble decides these requests case by case. Paizo Customer Service, in guidance modified February 8, 2024, states that refunds are handled “through, and at the discretion of, Humble Bundle.” That means meeting the commonly reported timing and key-status conditions improves your position but does not create an unconditional promise of approval.
The practical rule is to contact support before using any digital entitlement. A revealed key is evidence that fulfillment has begun, and the current guidance says revealing even one key from the relevant bundle can remove the refund option for that bundle. The safest sequence is therefore to preserve the purchase exactly as it is, gather the transaction details, and open the support request immediately.
How long do you have to request a Humble Choice refund?
A June 2, 2026 LegalClarity guide that cites Humble’s support refund-policy page reports a two-week window from the date of the Choice charge. The guide describes Choice purchases as generally non-refundable, with support potentially considering an exception when both of these conditions are met:

Treat this as reported policy guidance, not a statutory guarantee. The directly fetchable Humble policy page was unavailable for independent verification in the available material, so check the live Humble help-center wording when you submit your ticket. Record the exact charge date from your Humble account, PayPal receipt, or card statement; the relevant clock is tied to the billing event, not to the date you first noticed it.
If the request is outside two weeks
You can still contact support and explain the circumstances, but the reported Choice guidance does not promise consideration after that period. Give the original charge date and state how much time has elapsed instead of omitting the date. A support agent may evaluate the case under the current policy or any applicable local consumer rules.
If the charge was not recognized
Identify the payment route and provide every transaction identifier you can find. If you cannot sign in to the Humble account, say so in the first paragraph and include the account email, the date and amount shown by the payment provider, and any receipt or order reference. Support may need those details to locate the purchase.
Why revealing a key can change the outcome
Humble purchases often include digital keys that remain hidden until you choose to reveal them. According to the June 2, 2026 guidance, revealing even one key from that month’s Choice bundle can make the bundle ineligible for a refund. Redeeming a revealed key is an additional use of the digital product and should be avoided while a refund is under consideration.

Before you open a ticket
- Do not select “Reveal Key” for any game in the disputed bundle.
- Do not copy a key into another launcher or account.
- Do not redeem a key, download a claimed game, or otherwise consume the entitlement while waiting for a decision.
- Tell support whether every key is still unrevealed; do not assume the agent can infer that from the ticket.
If one key has already been revealed, disclose that fact accurately. The reported guidance says eligibility can be lost at that point, but only Humble can decide how the policy applies to your transaction.
Refund versus cancellation: two different actions
Canceling a Choice membership changes what happens at the next renewal. It does not itself reverse the latest charge. If you were billed today and want that payment returned, you must submit a refund request separately.
Monthly Choice
For an unwanted monthly renewal, cancel the membership to prevent another billing event, then open the support ticket for the charge that already posted. Doing only one of those actions leaves the other problem unresolved.
Annual or multi-month prepaid plans
Cancellation ordinarily prevents renewal while the prepaid period continues until its scheduled end. The available guidance does not establish an automatic pro-rated refund for unused months. If you want money back for an unused portion, ask support directly, identify the plan and payment, and explain how much of the prepaid term remains.

Pausing or changing a membership
If your account offers a pause or similar billing control, that setting also concerns future renewals rather than a completed payment. Use the support ticket for any reversal request and the account controls for future billing.
Step-by-step: submit a Humble refund request
- Freeze the digital purchase. Leave every key in the questioned bundle unrevealed and unredeemed. If you are unsure which bundle was charged, do not reveal keys from any bundle purchased in the same billing period until you have identified the transaction.
- Confirm the charge date and amount. Check your Humble purchase history first. Cross-check the date, currency, and amount against the PayPal activity or card statement used for payment. Keep a screenshot or PDF receipt for your records.
- Find the transaction ID. Copy the transaction or order identifier exactly as shown in the receipt or account history. If more than one charge is involved, list each identifier on its own line rather than combining them.
- Open a Humble help-center ticket. Use the current support form and select the category that covers payments, purchases, or refunds. Labels can change, so choose the closest billing option and state “refund request” in the subject or opening sentence.
- Identify the account. Provide the email address associated with the Humble account. If the payment email differs, provide both addresses and explain which one is used for login and which one received the receipt.
- Name the product. Specify “Humble Choice” and the month of the bundle, or give the exact single bundle or game title. Include the names of the games involved when the purchase contains several products.
- Explain the reason briefly. Say whether the charge was accidental, unwanted, duplicated, or otherwise not intended. A concise factual explanation is easier to evaluate than a long narrative; include any circumstance that materially affects the request.
- State the key status. Confirm that no key has been revealed or redeemed, or disclose precisely which key was revealed if that has already happened. Do not claim that all keys are unused unless you have checked.
- Ask for the specific remedy. Request a refund for the identified transaction and, if relevant, separately ask for cancellation of future Choice renewals. Distinguish the two requests so support does not treat a cancellation confirmation as a refund decision.
- Submit once and preserve the case number. Save the ticket number and the submitted text. Reply in the same thread if support asks for verification; opening several duplicate tickets can make the history harder to follow.
- Wait for Humble’s decision. Do not reveal or redeem keys while the request is pending. Approval is not guaranteed, even when the reported timing and fulfillment conditions appear to fit.
What to include in the ticket
A complete request lets support match the payment to the correct account and bundle without a second round of questions. Include:
- Account email address.
- Transaction or order ID for every disputed charge.
- Charge date, amount, and currency.
- Humble Choice month, single-bundle name, or individual game titles.
- Payment route: Humble checkout, PayPal, or card.
- Whether any key was revealed or redeemed.
- A short reason for requesting the refund.
- A note that you cannot access the account, if that is the case.
Do not send a full card number, security code, or password. A support agent needs transaction identifiers and account details, not credentials or sensitive authentication data.
Copy-ready wording

Replace the example details with the exact information from your receipt. If a key was revealed, change that sentence to describe what happened rather than sending an inaccurate template.

How payment route affects your preparation
Humble checkout
Use the order history or receipt associated with the Humble account. Copy the transaction ID, product title, charge date, and amount exactly. If the account shows several similar purchases, include the specific month or bundle so support does not review the wrong order.
PayPal
PayPal can supply a second reference number and the settled date. Give both the Humble transaction ID and the PayPal reference when available. The two records may display different descriptions or time zones; report the values as shown rather than trying to “correct” them.
Card statement

The reported two-week window is a description of Humble’s policy guidance, not a universal legal deadline. Digital-content cancellation and refund rights can differ by country or region, and local law may provide protections that are broader or narrower than a platform’s voluntary policy. If you believe a statutory right applies, state your country or region in the ticket and describe the relevant issue accurately. Do not present the two-week figure as a legal guarantee.

Because policy language and regional rules can change, read the current Humble help-center refund information at the time you submit the request. The June 2, 2026 guide is a secondary summary, while Paizo’s February 8, 2024 customer-service statement independently confirms that Humble controls the refund decision.
Common mistakes that weaken a request
- Revealing a key first: this can remove eligibility under the reported Choice guidance.
- Canceling and assuming the charge is reversed: cancellation addresses renewal, not the completed payment.

If support asks for more information
Reply in the existing ticket with the requested receipt, transaction reference, account email, or explanation. Keep the chronology clear: charge date, date you contacted support, key status, and any cancellation action. If you cancel Choice while the ticket is open, say so, but make clear that the refund request concerns the already-posted transaction.
If the response denies the request, you can ask which policy condition controlled the decision and whether a regional consumer rule changes the analysis. Do not alter or redeem keys after a denial unless you have decided to keep the purchase; the ticket’s outcome and the digital fulfillment status are separate records.

Bottom line
Ask Humble as soon as possible, ideally within the reported 14-day Choice window and before revealing any key. Include precise account, transaction, product, and payment information, and remember that cancellation prevents future renewals but does not refund an existing charge. Humble makes the final decision, so the timing and unrevealed-key conditions are useful policy guidance rather than a guaranteed entitlement.
