There is no verified cure walkthrough for the Crimson Plague in Valor Mortis. The official material available for the game uses “The Crimson Plague” as the name of a gameplay trailer showing a new level, not as a documented cure quest. It does not identify a medicine, quest giver, objective, item, or boss solution that removes the plague.
What “The Crimson Plague” means in Valor Mortis
The phrase comes from an official Valor Mortis Steam announcement published on 22 November 2025. The announcement describes “The Crimson Plague” as a gameplay trailer that introduces a new level, several enemies, and a different tone from earlier footage.
That wording matters because it does not present the Crimson Plague as a named in-game treatment quest. The announcement frames it as the title of a trailer and the setting or scenario shown in that trailer.
What the official material actually shows
A night-time village level
The level is described as a claustrophobic village at night. Players are encouraged to move cautiously, listen carefully, and use the surroundings rather than rush directly into every encounter.

Use your newfound mobility to outmaneuver the plague-ridden abominations of Napoleon’s Eternal Guard and uncover environmental secrets that may increase your chances of survival.
- UNCOVER A HORRID CONSPIRACY - Witness a compelling story where historical figures and realities intertwine with elements of horror and the supernatural. Explore beyond the dark corners of the world to discover the truth behind the plague and your unholy resurrection.
William’s first view of Napoleon’s supernatural conquest
In the announcement’s narrative framing, protagonist William witnesses the horror of Napoleon’s supernatural conquest for the first time in this level. This establishes the scene’s story context, but it does not describe a disease-removal mechanic.
Mutated villagers and named enemies
The trailer reveals mutated villagers and an elite enemy called The Relentless. It also features Sergeant Gaspard “Cannonhand” Dubois. These are gameplay and story details; the announcement does not say that defeating any of them cures a plague.

Why a cure walkthrough cannot be confirmed
The reviewed official announcement does not provide any of the information required for a reliable cure guide:
What’s actually slowing this PC down?
Pick the symptom - the matching free tool is one click away.
- No cure quest or objective is named.
- No cure item, medicine, potion, or interaction is identified.
- No quest giver or other NPC is assigned responsibility for treatment.
- No location, sequence of actions, boss strategy, or reward is given for removing the plague.
Because those details are absent, a step-by-step instruction such as “visit this NPC,” “collect this item,” or “defeat this enemy” would be speculation rather than an established Valor Mortis solution.
Do not confuse it with The Elder Scrolls III: Tribunal
Search results also surface a separate “Crimson Plague” quest from The Elder Scrolls III: Tribunal. That quest takes place in Mournhold and involves Nerile Andaren and disease-curing potions.
It belongs to a different game. Its characters, setting, and potion instructions cannot be used to solve anything in Valor Mortis. If a guide tells you to travel to Mournhold or find Nerile Andaren, you are reading instructions for Tribunal, not for Valor Mortis.

How to check whether a later Valor Mortis build adds a cure objective
The available announcement does not establish a cure, but a later game build could add objectives or mechanics that were not documented in that material. If you are playing a current release or updated build, verify the following in the game itself:
Recommended Free Tools
- Check the quest or objective log. Look for an entry that explicitly names the Crimson Plague or describes a treatment objective.
- Read item descriptions. A genuine cure item should be identified by the game’s own text, not inferred from its appearance or from another title.
- Review dialogue after major encounters. If the game adds a cure quest, the responsible NPC and next objective should be named in dialogue or the objective log.
- Confirm the result in the interface. A real cure should produce an observable state change, quest update, status removal, or other in-game confirmation.
- Use a walkthrough tied to your exact build. Check its version or publication date and make sure it is specifically for Valor Mortis, not for The Elder Scrolls III: Tribunal.
If none of these checks produces a named objective or status effect, the game may be showing the plague as part of the level’s atmosphere and story rather than as a condition the player can cure.

What you can reliably prepare for in the level
Although no cure procedure is documented, the official description does establish the intended gameplay approach:
- Expect limited visibility because the setting is a night-time village.
- Move cautiously instead of assuming every encounter should be solved by an immediate attack.
- Listen for information and threats, since the announcement specifically emphasizes listening.
- Use the environment while navigating the claustrophobic streets and spaces.
- Be prepared for mutated villagers, The Relentless, and Sergeant Gaspard “Cannonhand” Dubois.
These points describe how the level is presented; they are not substitutes for a cure quest that the official announcement does not document.
Bottom line on the cure question
As of the official announcement dated 22 November 2025, “The Crimson Plague” is established as the name of a Valor Mortis gameplay trailer and its featured level, not as a documented cure mission. No authoritative source reviewed here supplies a cure item, NPC, quest route, or combat solution. Treat any specific cure instructions as unverified unless they come from current in-game objectives or an authoritative walkthrough for the same Valor Mortis build.
