Usually, no: the Galaxy A11 is not listed among Samsung phones that support its built-in Screen recorder. A Samsung Members discussion about the A11 also reports that the feature is unavailable, including after an Android 11 / One UI Core 3.1 update. If the button is missing, a compatible screen-recording app from Google Play or Galaxy Store is Samsung’s suggested alternative.
Check the Quick panel once

Swipe down from the top of the display, then swipe down again to expand the Quick panel.

Look for Screen recorder. If it appears, tap it, choose an available sound option, and start recording after the countdown.

This is Samsung’s standard workflow for models that support the feature. Samsung’s current compatible-device lists do not include the Galaxy A11, so an absent button is not necessarily just hidden.

Why Android 11 does not guarantee the A11 has Samsung’s recorder
Android 11 introduced screen recording as a general Android feature, but that does not establish that Samsung enabled its own recorder on every Galaxy model. Samsung Members guidance about the A11 says the native feature is unavailable. Samsung firmware records for the SM-A115F and SM-A115M document Android 12 / One UI Core 4.1 releases, but availability of particular builds can vary by region, carrier, and variant. Those updates do not change the model-specific support evidence.
Use an app-store alternative
Samsung advises users whose device does not support Screen recorder to try a recording app from Google Play or Galaxy Store. Choose one that supports the Android version installed on your A11. Before recording, review its permissions, audio options, and compatibility. No particular app has been independently assessed here, so check its current store listing rather than assuming that all apps offer the same features.

If the built-in recorder is available on another supported Samsung phone
On supported models, open the expanded Quick panel, tap Screen recorder, select the available sound and touch options, and begin after the countdown. Stop the recording from its toolbar. Samsung says recordings can be found in Gallery and, by default, in Internal storage > DCIM > Screen recordings. Menus and paths can vary by model and software.
Recording limits and content restrictions
Samsung’s general guidance says its recorder on Android 10 with One UI 2.5 is limited to one hour or 4 GB. On Android 11 with One UI 3.0 or later, Samsung says there is no file-size or recording-time limit. These are version-based rules for supported devices, not confirmation that the A11 has Samsung’s built-in recorder.

Samsung’s native recorder does not capture phone calls, VOIP calls, or video calls.

Copyright protection may prevent recording certain photos, videos, or app content. Do not assume a third-party app can bypass those restrictions.
