Martine is a free WordPress theme for travel agencies and small tour operators. It can present tours and collect visitor enquiries, but its built-in form does not confirm reservations or take payment. The publisher offers a block edition for WordPress’s Site Editor and a separate Elementor edition; it recommends the block edition for new sites.
What Martine includes
Martine is designed to display a travel business’s tours and supporting information. Tour cards can show trip length, group size, route, highlights, next departure, and starting price. A sample tour detail page can include an overview, dates, price, group size, guide, day-by-day itinerary, inclusions and exclusions, and departures. These are presentation features; they do not themselves manage inventory or confirm a booking. Colorlib’s Martine product page describes the theme’s features.
The product page lists seven starter pages, eight color palettes, and five typography pairings. It also describes visitor-controlled dark mode, reduced-motion support for sliders, and styling for Contact Form 7, WPForms, Gravity Forms, Fluent Forms, Forminator, and Ninja Forms. Those named plugins are styling targets, not prerequisites for the built-in enquiry form.

Which edition should you choose?

If you are starting a site and do not already depend on Elementor, the publisher’s recommendation points to the block edition. Choose the Elementor edition when your workflow or existing site specifically relies on Elementor. The two editions are distinct options, so check that you are downloading and setting up the one you intend to use.

Can visitors book or pay for tours?
No—not through Martine’s built-in tour form. The form asks which tour a visitor is interested in, preferred dates, number of travellers, contact details, and a note. It sends an enquiry; it does not reserve a place or charge a customer. The publisher says a filter can route enquiries to a separate booking system, but that integration needs to be configured separately. Martine product page
That distinction matters operationally: if your business needs live availability, confirmed reservations, payment processing, or booking records, plan for a booking service or system in addition to the theme. Martine can provide a presentation and enquiry front end, but the product information does not establish that it supplies those transaction features.

How enquiries and email work
According to the publisher, Martine sends messages to the WordPress admin email using wp_mail(). Successful delivery therefore depends on the site’s mail setup and hosting environment. The publisher notes an SMTP plugin may help if the host cannot send mail. It also describes a handler filter for passing enquiries to a CRM, webhook, mailing-list plugin, or booking system. Source
The block edition’s built-in flow does not require one of the separately styled form plugins. Those plugins may be relevant if you choose to build forms with them or want their appearance styled consistently with the theme.

Requirements, licence, and updates
The product page states a minimum of WordPress 6.6 and PHP 7.4, and says Martine is tested up to WordPress 7.1. It lists the GNU General Public License version 2 or later. These are the publisher’s compatibility and licence statements, not independent test results; verify the current product page and your host’s PHP version before installing. Martine product page
The publisher says Martine checks for updates twice daily because it is distributed outside the WordPress.org theme directory. Its disclosure says the check sends the theme and WordPress versions, PHP version, locale, multisite status, and a site identifier derived from the site address using the site’s secret key. It says the site name and personal data are not sent, and identifies a filter to disable update checks. Accessibility and visual claims
The publisher says it checks its eight palettes for WCAG AA text contrast in light and dark modes, covering text, links, and button labels. It explains that its template orange, #fe5c24, measures 3.1:1 against white, below the 4.5:1 text threshold it cites, so the brighter orange is reserved for decoration while a deeper #c2410c is used for buttons and text. Who Martine suits—and what to verify
- It may suit you if you want a travel-focused layout for tour cards, itineraries, departures, and enquiries, and are comfortable handling reservations and payments elsewhere.
- Check the edition against your editing workflow: Site Editor for the recommended block version, or Elementor plus its free plugin for the Elementor version.
- Test enquiry delivery on your own site, since mail depends on WordPress and host configuration; add an SMTP or integration solution if your setup needs one.
- Confirm current compatibility against your WordPress and PHP versions, because the published versions are the theme author’s stated requirements and test range.
- Review disclosures on update checks and accessibility if those areas are important to your organization’s policy or compliance process.
