Yes—Grok Bot has a documented purchase flow, but it asks you to approve the amount before Link completes payment. This is not evidence that shopping is available in every Grok chat or product. Grok Bot can also hand sensitive checkout steps back to you, so passwords, verification codes, and payment confirmations remain under your control.
How Grok Bot purchases work
In the documented Grok Bot flow, a purchase card displays the amount and gives you an Allow or Deny choice; Link then completes payment. A later changelog entry says that after approval, Pay with lets you choose a saved card from your Link wallet. These details are specific to Grok Bot, not a confirmed feature of every Grok surface. The purchase request is not silent automatic charging: inspect the proposed purchase and amount before approving. The changelog says declined, failed, or expired card requests indicate that no charge was made, and unanswered requests expire. That describes the documented card-request flow; it does not establish how every merchant or payment failure is handled.

What you need to do at checkout
Grok Bot guidance distinguishes ordinary checkout information from sensitive authentication. The Bot may ask for details such as an address or phone number through a chat form, one form per step, and enter your answers into the checkout page. For passwords, passkeys, two-factor codes, CAPTCHAs, and payment confirmations, it should hand you control of the computer so you complete the step yourself. For other actions, an approval presents the proposed operation and its inputs. Check the target, scope, and values: Allow once authorizes that action, Always allow can save a matching rule, and Deny blocks it. Is there a purchase limit?
The available Grok Bot documentation does not establish a universal transaction ceiling, per-purchase cap, supported merchant catalog, or country-by-country availability. The purchase card’s amount and approval choice are documented, but they should not be mistaken for a published spending limit. Check the current in-product flow and Grok Bot documentation for availability on your account.

Do not confuse shopping with Grok usage limits
The consumer Grok FAQ describes a shared weekly allowance for paid Grok usage—not a merchandise spending limit. Check Settings → Usage for usage and the reset timing. When included allowance is exhausted, paid features pause until reset; the FAQ says free Chat and Voice limits remain separate. It lists extra credits, a higher plan, and Auto Top Up as ways to continue paid usage. Grok consumer FAQ
The FAQ describes Extra Usage Credits as web-only, purchasable from the Usage tab for a minimum of $5, used after included weekly usage is exhausted, and expiring one year after purchase unless otherwise stated. It also says their per-action cost is higher than the effective rate of included plan usage. These are current FAQ terms, not a merchandise purchase allowance, and can change. Grok consumer FAQ

What the privacy information does—and does not—cover
The SpaceXSI Privacy Policy effective August 24, 2026 covers Grok.com and Grok mobile apps. It says Grok on X is governed by X’s privacy policy and terms, and points people in the EEA, UK, or Switzerland to a Europe privacy addendum. For subscription access to Grok, the policy says payment-card and transaction details may be processed by a third party, naming Apple App Store, Google Play Store, and Stripe as examples. That statement concerns payment for the service; it does not show that those providers process every Link purchase of merchant goods or specify all information a merchant receives. For a Grok Bot purchase, consult Link’s and the merchant’s notices for that specific checkout.

The policy asks users not to include personal information in prompts and inputs, while noting that submitted personal information may be reproduced in generated output. Avoid putting unnecessary sensitive details in chat. The policy does not establish that checkout details entered through a Bot form are handled exactly like ordinary prompt text. If you sign in with X credentials, the consumer terms say information such as your X profile, account and location information, preferences, viewable post history, usage data, and Grok-on-X conversation history may be brought into your SpaceXSI account subject to disclosures. An account linked to an employer domain may be associated with an organization subscription, where an administrator may access, monitor, and control the account under enterprise terms. Optional sign-in security is not a payment requirement
Grok Bot documentation says a hardware security key can be used by its browser for sign-in when enabled; each use requires approval, and Linux is not yet supported. This is an optional sign-in feature, not a way to pay or a prerequisite for buying something. Grok Bot security documentation
