There is not enough verified evidence to say that inFAMOUS First Light runs reliably—or at a particular frame rate—on a Ryzen 5 4600G and RTX 3060 12GB in shadPS4. The CPU meets the emulator’s stated minimum core, thread and clock thresholds on paper, but those minimums are not a game-specific performance guarantee. The official compatibility page did not show a First Light entry when checked, and a community build aimed at the inFAMOUS games documents testing on a much higher-end PC.
What can be concluded about this PC?
The hardware appears to clear several broad shadPS4 minimums, but that only speaks to basic emulator requirements. It does not establish whether First Light boots, renders correctly, remains stable, or reaches a useful frame rate on this exact system.
The shadPS4 project describes the emulator as early in development and cautions that many games do not work or have emulation issues. The current quick-start requirements list a CPU with at least 4 cores and 6 threads, a clock above 2.5 GHz, and x86-64-v3 support. AMD lists the Ryzen 5 4600G with 6 cores, 12 threads, a 3.7 GHz base clock, and boost up to 4.2 GHz. Its published core, thread, and boost figures exceed the numeric thresholds; that does not prove smooth or even successful First Light emulation.

AMD lists the processor as supporting AVX2 and x86-64. The cited specifications do not independently establish that the complete PC satisfies every shadPS4 requirement or that the game will perform well. AMD Ryzen 5 4600G specifications
What else does shadPS4 require?
The project’s quick-start lists these minimums. They are emulator requirements, not recommended settings or a promise that a particular game works.

The quick-start advises updating graphics drivers for every graphics card, including integrated graphics, because outdated drivers can cause problems. When checked, the official compatibility page showed zero tested titles for Windows, Linux, and macOS, while its title table remained at “Loading…”. It did not provide a First Light listing in that snapshot. That page therefore cannot be used to claim that the game is officially playable—or definitively unplayable. A community project named “inFAMOUS High-FPS Custom Build” says it includes dedicated fixes for First Light and inFAMOUS Second Son. Its README also warns of possible bugs and glitches and says shader compilation can cause initial stutter. The documented test PC is a Ryzen 9 7950X with an RTX 4090—not the Ryzen 5 4600G and RTX 3060 12GB in this question. How to check before spending time on setup
- Check the live compatibility page. Look for an entry specifically for inFAMOUS First Light, and note the platform and any stated status. Do not treat a missing or unloaded entry as a compatibility result.
- Choose a build with clear provenance. The official guide says users can select a stable or nightly/pre-release version through QtLauncher. - Check the system requirements and driver. Confirm the OS, RAM, active GPU, Vulkan version, required extensions, and current graphics driver. The project recommends updating drivers for all graphics cards.
- Use only game files dumped from your own copy. The shadPS4 guide says the game, updates, and DLC are copyrighted content and must be dumped from the user’s own copy. It describes placing a properly named game dump in the install directory and installing updates and DLC separately. Do not use unauthorized downloads. shadPS4 game setup guidance
- Record what happens. If you test the game, note the emulator build, OS, graphics driver, game region and version, settings, whether it boots, visual problems, stability, and measured performance. Without those details, results are difficult to compare meaningfully.
Official build or an inFAMOUS-focused custom build?
The official release is the straightforward baseline; the community build is specifically intended to add inFAMOUS game fixes. The available documentation does not establish which is more reliable on a Ryzen 5 4600G and RTX 3060 12GB, so choose based on the current, game-specific evidence and the build’s provenance rather than its high-FPS name.

The custom build’s README recommends settings such as Precise readbacks, DMA, and shader cache, and warns that enabling FSR causes graphical corruption in that build.
