Yes. A phone can maintain connections to multiple Bluetooth devices, but that does not mean it can send the same audio to multiple headphones. What works depends on the phone, its operating system, and the accessories. The key is to match your goal to the right feature: ordinary simultaneous connections, headset Multipoint, or audio sharing such as LE Audio.
What do you want to connect?
“Connect to multiple devices” can describe different setups. Pairing several accessories, keeping accessories connected for different functions, connecting one headset to two source devices, and sending one phone’s audio to two headphones are not the same capability.
| Your goal | Feature to look for | Important limit |
|---|---|---|
| Use one headset with a phone and a laptop, tablet, or second phone | Headset Multipoint | The headset must support Multipoint. Google’s Android guide describes switching between two source devices. |
| Let two or more people listen to the same phone audio | LE Audio sharing | The phone and headphones must support LE Audio, and the phone must provide the sharing feature. |
| Broadcast audio to a larger group of receivers | Auracast | The standard supports broadcast audio, but transmitter and receiver support depends on the products. |
| Keep different kinds of accessories connected to a phone | Device and operating-system support for the relevant Bluetooth services | Multiple connections do not guarantee that every accessory function can operate at once; there is no universal device-count limit established for all phones. |

How headset Multipoint works
Multipoint lets one compatible headset connect to two source devices, such as a phone and a laptop. It is useful when you want to use the same headset with both devices without repeatedly disconnecting and pairing it. It does not mean that one phone is playing audio through two separate headsets.

- 【Strong Adsorption】The inspiration of the silicone phone suction case comes from the adhesive force of the octopus. Each suction cup phone mount is 3.15 inches long and 2.17 inches wide, with 24 independent suction cups providing a stronger and more stable suction force, so you don't have to worry about your phone falling during use.
- 【Back of Phone Suction Grip】Remove the adhesive film on the phone suction cup and stick it on the phone case. You can then fix the phone on any smooth surface, which is very convenient. (The phone suction cup cannot be removed and reused after being attached to the phone case. It is recommended to attach it to a regular phone case, not a valuable one.)
- 【Widely Used】Our non-slip silicone phone sticky grip mount attaches to almost any flat phone case and make it compatible with common mobile phones such as iPhone and Android. You can shoot, watch videos or video calls in the kitchen, gym, dance studio, bathroom and other places.
- 【Capture the Wonderful Picture】Whether you are a TikTok creator or just like to share videos and photos, this phone suction cup can help you hands-free capture wonderful videos and photos for sharing with friends.
- 【Note】You can fix the phone suction cup on a smooth surface such as a mirror or glass. If necessary, wipe the suction cup with a damp cloth to obtain stronger suction. Before releasing your hand, make sure the phone is firmly fixed. (Not applicable to rough walls, wooden surfaces, and other uneven surfaces)
Google’s Android guide says to stop playback on the first source and start playback on the second to switch media sources. The headset, rather than the phone alone, must support Multipoint. Google lists Android 8 or later with Google Play Services for the setup described in its guide.
Set up Multipoint on Android
- Check that the headset supports Multipoint and can connect to two Bluetooth source devices.
- Pair the headset with both source devices. Google’s guide says the devices must already be paired.
- On the Android phone, open Settings > Connected devices, select the headset’s settings, and enable Multipoint if that option is available.
- To switch media, stop playback on one source and start it on the other.
Menu names can vary by Android device. If the Multipoint setting is absent, the headset may not support the feature or the phone’s available settings may differ. See Google’s Multipoint setup instructions.

- SUPERIOR COMFORT — Unlike traditional circular ear buds, the design of EarPods is defined by the geometry of the ear. Which makes them more comfortable for more people than any other ear bud–style headphones.
- HIGH-QUALITY AUDIO — The speakers inside EarPods have been engineered to maximize sound output and minimize sound loss, which means you get high-quality audio.
- BUILT-IN REMOTE — EarPods with USB-C plug also include a built-in remote that lets you adjust the volume, control the playback of music and video, and answer or end calls with a pinch of the cord.
- COMPATIBILITY — Works with all devices that have a USB-C port.
- INTEGRATED MICROPHONE — A built-in microphone precisely captures your voice while you’re on the phone, taking a FaceTime call, or summoning Siri — so you’re always heard loud and clear.
How to share one phone’s audio with multiple headphones
For two people to hear the same phone audio, look for audio sharing rather than Multipoint. Google’s Android instructions require an Android device that supports LE Audio and compatible LE Audio headphones. They describe adding another LE Audio headphone and adjusting each connected headphone’s volume; the settings can also select headphones for call audio.
Share audio on a supported Android device
- Connect a compatible LE Audio headphone to the Android device.
- Open Bluetooth in Quick Settings and choose Share audio.
- Select a second paired LE Audio headphone, or pair another compatible headphone when prompted.
- Use the audio-sharing settings to adjust each headphone’s volume or select headphones for call audio, where those controls are available.
If Share audio does not appear, the phone may not support the required feature, or the connected headphones may not meet its requirements. Google’s instructions are at Android Help: Share audio with LE Audio.

What LE Audio and Auracast mean
LE Audio is a Bluetooth audio approach that includes features such as Multi-Stream Audio. The Bluetooth SIG explains that Multi-Stream Audio can transmit multiple independent, synchronized audio streams between a source and one or more audio sinks. The number of streams depends on the application and desired audio quality, so this does not establish one universal maximum for a phone.
Auracast is Bluetooth broadcast audio: a compatible transmitter can broadcast an audio stream for compatible receivers to join, either openly or with passkey protection. The Bluetooth SIG describes the standard’s broadcast capability as supporting an unlimited number of audio sink devices. That is a description of the standard, not a guarantee that any particular phone can transmit an Auracast broadcast.

Do not assume compatibility from a Bluetooth version number alone. The Bluetooth SIG says LE Audio uses a feature introduced in Bluetooth Core Specification 5.2, but product makers choose whether their products support Classic Audio, LE Audio, or both. The source and receiving device must use a compatible approach. Check the specifications for both products; see the Bluetooth SIG LE Audio FAQs.

Apple documents a separate feature called “Share audio with AirPods and Beats headphones from iPhone or iPad.” Its support page is Apple’s Audio Sharing guide. Why there is no single maximum number
Bluetooth pairing, an active connection, and simultaneous audio output are different things. A phone can remember paired accessories without keeping them all connected, and multiple active connections do not automatically mean that audio can play through every connected device. The available services and concurrent behavior vary by phone and accessory, so there is no reliable universal number of Bluetooth devices that every phone can connect to at once.
