The Camp Snap 2 is a reusable digital point-and-shoot for people who want to take pictures without reviewing each shot on-camera. It has no photo-preview screen, but it does have a small status display. The second generation keeps an 8 MP sensor and adds six built-in filters and a QuickDraw battery-saving feature. The tradeoff is a deliberately simple camera with automatic exposure and modest image quality—not a substitute for a quality-focused compact.
What’s new in the Camp Snap 2?
Camp Snap’s product page describes the model as its second-generation screen-free camera. It retains an 8 MP sensor and adds six swappable onboard filters: Standard, Vintage 1, Vintage 2, Vintage 3, Analog, and Black & White. The maker says users can toggle filters on the camera without an app, and that custom filters can also be created.
Other listed features include CampLock settings, USB-C charging and photo transfer, and a universal tripod mount. Camp Snap estimates approximately 500 photos per charge and roughly 2,000 photos on the preinstalled MicroSD card; those are manufacturer estimates, not independently verified capacities. The included card means extra storage is not a prerequisite for using the camera.
QuickDraw is intended to save battery power: Camp Snap describes its use as “Just draw and press the shutter.” That is manufacturer product language, not an independent performance finding.

- Read Before You Buy — No Video Output: These adapters support charging and USB 2.0 data transfer, but cannot transmit video signals. Except for standard USB webcams (which use USB data only), they are not compatible with HDMI/DisplayPort cables, video-capable USB-C hubs, or docking stations with video output.
- Convert USB-A Ports to USB-C: Designed to connect USB-C earphones, cables, flash drives, card readers, and other USB-C accessories to standard USB-A ports. Plug-and-play with no drivers or software required.
- Aluminum Alloy Housing: Built with a sturdy aluminum alloy shell that aids in heat dissipation and protects against daily wear and scratches. Designed to maintain a stable and secure connection.
- Compact & Travel-Friendly: The ultra-compact design allows the adapter to stay plugged into your device without blocking adjacent ports or adding bulk, reducing wear and tear on your original USB ports.
- 12-Month Warranty: Backed by a 12-month manufacturer warranty for peace of mind. Designed to meet strict quality control standards for reliable everyday performance.
Can you see photos on the Camp Snap 2?
No—you cannot preview or review photos on the camera. It has a small status and shot-counter display, but not a screen for viewing images. As TechRadar explains, you see the photos after downloading them later. That delayed reveal is central to the camera’s appeal for people who prefer to shoot without checking every image, but it also means you cannot confirm framing or exposure on the spot.
How good are Camp Snap 2 photos?
The camera is best understood as a casual-candid camera, not a tool for reliably controlling or optimizing image quality. Tom’s Guide reports an 8 MP 1/3.2-inch CMOS sensor and a 4.2 mm fixed-focus f/2.0 lens. The reviewer found the camera enjoyable for casual candid pictures and liked having filters available on-camera, but also reported limitations in image quality and difficulty balancing shadows and highlights.

Exposure is automatic: the reviewer notes there are no onboard aperture, shutter-speed, or ISO adjustments. Tom’s Guide also observed that shutter delay had improved over earlier Camp Snap models but could still happen in some instances. That is a reviewer’s observation, not a guarantee about every unit or shot. With no preview and few controls, expect some images to be less predictable than they would be with a camera that lets you adjust exposure and inspect results.

Camp Snap 2 vs. CS-Pro: which should you get?
The CS-Pro is a same-maker alternative for buyers who want higher resolution and a more powerful flash. Digital Camera World’s comparison lists a 16 MP sensor for the CS-Pro—twice the Camp Snap 2’s 8 MP—and says the CS-Pro has the more powerful flash. Camp Snap 2 instead offers more built-in filters and a smaller filter-thread size.

What accessories fit the Camp Snap 2?
Tom’s Guide reports a 30.5 mm filter thread, and Camp Snap lists a universal tripod mount. Those details make a correctly sized 30.5 mm screw-in filter or a compatible small tripod possible optional accessories. Is the Camp Snap 2 worth it?
It is worth considering if you specifically want a reusable digital camera that delays photo review and keeps operation simple. The built-in filters give you some creative choice without adding a screen-based editing workflow. It is a weaker fit if you need to verify a shot immediately, control exposure, or prioritize consistent image quality.
Tom’s Guide reported a launch price of $69/£54 and described it as introductory; Camp Snap’s product page also presents the offer as introductory. These dated figures do not establish today’s price. Check the manufacturer or retailer listing for current pricing and availability in your country.
