Yes—but no price tracker can guarantee that you will get the lowest possible future price. These tools can help you avoid buying at an unusually high price, recognize when a “sale” is actually ordinary, compare competing offers, and wait for a better deal when your purchase is not urgent.
CamelCamelCamel is the simplest dedicated Amazon tracker. Keepa is better for detailed historical analysis and advanced alerts, Honey is convenient during checkout because it compares Amazon offers, and Google Shopping is the strongest choice when you want to compare Amazon with other retailers. Amazon also provides its own price-history feature on eligible products, so checking that first is often sensible.
What Amazon price trackers actually do
An Amazon price tracker records price information for products and can notify you when an item reaches a price you consider acceptable. Depending on the service, it may also show historical prices, compare sellers, include availability information, or check prices across multiple retailers.
The useful question is not “Is this item discounted?” It is:

- Am I looking at the same size, color, capacity, bundle, condition, and seller type?
- Does another seller or retailer offer a lower total cost?
- Should I buy now, or can I wait for a target price?
A tracker cannot predict the future or guarantee that a price will fall. It is best treated as evidence for a buying decision—not as an instruction to purchase whenever an alert arrives.

1. CamelCamelCamel: the easiest Amazon price tracker
CamelCamelCamel is the best starting point for shoppers who want a free, Amazon-focused tracker without a complicated dashboard. Its core workflow is straightforward: find an Amazon product, inspect its historical prices, choose a target price, and receive an email when the price reaches that level.
Its browser extension, The Camelizer, adds price-history charts while you browse Amazon. That makes it useful when you are already viewing a product page and do not want to copy the product into a separate service.
How to use CamelCamelCamel
- Open the Amazon product page for the exact item you are considering.
- Check the product variation, such as size, color, storage capacity, or bundle.
- Open CamelCamelCamel or use The Camelizer browser extension to view the price history.
- Compare the current price with previous lows and with the typical range shown in the chart.
- For a non-urgent purchase, set a target price and wait for an email alert.
Why CamelCamelCamel is a good default
- It is easy for beginners to understand.
- It is built specifically around Amazon price history.
- It supports price-drop watches and email alerts.
- It can prevent you from mistaking a temporary “discount” for an unusually good deal.
The important limitation is comparability. A historical price may refer to a different seller, condition, product variation, shipping arrangement, or offer type. Do not assume that every point on a chart represents precisely the same offer you see today.
2. Keepa: the choice for serious deal hunters
Keepa is the more analytical alternative. Keepa says it tracks more than 5 billion Amazon products and provides price-history charts and price-drop alerts. Its official Firefox extension listing describes product-page charts, individual product tracking, price and availability alerts, international Amazon locale support, and multiple notification channels.
Keepa is particularly useful when you want to answer questions such as:
- How often does this product return to a lower price?
- Is the current discount unusual or merely typical?
- Has the price changed seasonally?
- Is the item currently unavailable, or has only one offer disappeared?
- How do Amazon and marketplace prices compare over time?
Its dense charts and larger number of controls are an advantage for power users, collectors, and resellers. They can be unnecessary for someone buying a common household item once.

- Open the product page or use Keepa to locate the exact Amazon listing.
- Study the historical chart rather than relying only on the current percentage-off label.
- Check which price line you are reading and whether it represents Amazon, marketplace offers, or another condition.
- Set a price or availability alert for the specific product.
- Confirm the current seller, condition, shipping cost, and delivery date before purchasing.
Try Keepa’s price-history charts if you want more control than CamelCamelCamel provides. Keepa’s interface can be more complicated, and the existence of a feature does not necessarily mean that every historical view or alert option is available under every account tier. Check the current service interface and pricing before relying on a particular feature.
3. Honey: convenient Amazon seller comparison in your browser
Honey takes a different approach. Instead of focusing primarily on a long historical chart, it helps during the shopping process by comparing competing Amazon offers for the product you are viewing.

- Three scanning mode - Key trigger mode + Auto-induction mode + Continuous Mode. There is no need to pull the trigger in auto-sensing mode and continuous scanning. Sometimes the self-sensing scanning function is in the inactive stage, please contact us and be at your service at any time.

- Widely Use Range - This NetumScan Handheld USB barcode scanner can be used in supermarkets, convenience stores, warehouse, library, bookstore, drugstore, retail shop for file management, inventory tracking and POS(point of sale), etc.
Honey says its Amazon tools can compare sellers for the exact product, including details such as size, color, and features. It also says the comparison considers estimated shipping costs and Prime shipping benefits. That makes Honey useful when the cheapest displayed item is not actually the cheapest delivered offer.
Honey also provides Amazon price history and a Droplist feature for price-drop alerts. Its help documentation says that the Amazon price-history view covers 30-, 60-, 90-, or 120-day periods.
When Honey is the better choice
Choose Honey when your immediate question is, “Is there a better offer for this exact item right now?” rather than, “What was the lowest price over a long period?” It is convenient for shoppers who prefer an integrated browser workflow instead of visiting a separate tracking site.
Try Honey on Amazon if seller comparison and a browser-based Droplist fit the way you shop.
Availability caveat: Honey’s cited documentation describes these Amazon tools as available to U.S. members on Amazon.com. Features may vary by country, browser, account, or retailer. Do not assume that the U.S. Amazon experience is available on every Amazon marketplace.
Honey is not Amazon-owned. The cited Honey page states that Amazon and PayPal Honey are not affiliated, so treat Honey as an independent shopping tool.

4. Google Shopping: best for comparing Amazon with other retailers
Google Shopping price tracking is the strongest fit when Amazon is only one of several stores you are considering. While signed in to a Google Account on the web or in the Google app, you can track a product, optionally set a target price, and receive push notifications or email notifications about price drops.
Google’s price-insights documentation says shoppers in the U.S. can see whether a price is low, typical, or high, review recent price changes, and identify products at a 30-day low. Google says its typical-price assessment uses seller information from across the web, not just Google Shopping listings.
Why cross-retailer context matters
An Amazon product page can make a price look attractive even when another retailer is offering the same model for less. Google Shopping can expose that difference before you commit to Amazon. It is especially useful for electronics, appliances, branded goods, and other products sold by many retailers.

However, “30-day low” is backward-looking. It does not predict that the price will fall further, and it does not prove that the offer is the best available after shipping, taxes, membership benefits, return policies, warranties, and seller conditions are considered.

Availability caveat: Google says price-tracking and price-insight features may not be available on every device or Google surface. The cited price-insights documentation is focused on U.S. shoppers, so availability and labels can differ elsewhere.
Amazon’s own price history: check it before installing anything
Third-party trackers are not the only way to review an Amazon price. Amazon’s June 24, 2026 announcement says that Alexa for Shopping displays 30-, 90-, and 365-day price history on eligible products in the U.S., U.K., and India. Amazon also says the assistant was renamed from Rufus to Alexa for Shopping on May 13, 2026.
This feature narrows the gap for basic verification. If it appears on the product you are viewing, you can first use Amazon’s own history information to decide whether the current price looks unusually high or low.
Independent trackers can still be useful for dedicated watchlists, email or other alert workflows, browser extensions, longer-standing tracking routines, marketplace context, international Amazon locales, or cross-retailer comparisons. The evidence supports a feature comparison—not a claim that third-party services are always more accurate than Amazon’s own data.
Quick wins for a faster PC:
Scan for outdated or missing drivers - takes under a minuteDriver Scan →Repair Windows errors before they cause bigger problemsFix Now →Amazon’s seller-policy material also explains that its product-detail-page price-history graph shows the lowest Featured Offer price for each day. It describes “Typical Price” as a median based on recent customer-paid prices under the stated policy. That is why a displayed reference price should not automatically be treated as proof that today’s offer is a bargain. See Amazon’s seller discussion about price history and Typical Price for the policy context.
A practical workflow for avoiding bad Amazon purchases
Step 1: Identify the exact offer
Before reading any chart, verify the details that make the offer comparable:
- Model number or exact product name
- Size, color, capacity, and configuration
- New, used, refurbished, or renewed condition
- Bundle contents and included accessories
- Sold-by and shipped-by information
- Shipping cost and expected delivery date
- Return policy and warranty
A tracker can show a lower historical price for a different variation or condition. That is not necessarily a deal you can buy today.
Step 2: Calculate the current total cost
Look beyond the large price displayed on the page. Include shipping, coupons, taxes where relevant, membership benefits, and any difference between seller offers. Honey is specifically useful for shipping-aware Amazon offer comparisons, but you should still inspect the final checkout total.
Do these 3 things before closing this tab:

- Plug and play, Easy Use(Not compatible with Square system): Anyeast USB barcode scanner does not require installation of drivers or software. Just connect the device via one USB cable, and this barcode reader will be ready to work. It supports laptops, desktops, and POS and is compatible with Windows XP, 7/8/10, MAC, Linux, and Android systems
- Adjustable Stand: This QR code scanner is equipped with an adjustable stand, so we can freely adjust the best scanning angle as needed. What's more, with an auto-sensing scanning sensor, we can easily realize handsfree scanning, no need to hold the linear barcode scanner, release our hands
- Stronger Decoding Ability: With an advanced CMOS sensor, the handheld inventory scanner can easily decode most 1D 2D QR barcodes on labels, paper, and screen more accurately. 1D like: UPC/EAN, Code39, Interleaved 2 of 5, Code93, Code 128, Codabar etc. 2D like: QR, Datamatrix, PDF417, Aztec, etc
- 3 Types of Scanning Modes: This USB wired barcode scanner with key trigger scanning, auto-sensing scanning, and continuous scanning mode, we can according to our needs choose different scanning ways. Widely used in supermarkets, bookstores, shopping malls, retail, logistics, warehouses, and others for file management, inventory tracking, and point-of-sale
- More Customer Function: Anyeast bar code scanner supports custom settings, like adding/hiding prefixes or suffixes, hiding characters from the front/back, adding keyboard keys (TAB, CR, etc.) to the scanning operation, changing the capital/lower case, etc. Also, it can freely enable or disable barcode type, easily suiting our specific need
Step 3: Review history, not just the discount badge
A “20% off” or “limited-time deal” label usually compares the current price with a reference price. It does not tell you how often the product sells at the current price. Use CamelCamelCamel, Keepa, Amazon’s own history feature, or Google’s price context to determine whether the deal is genuinely unusual.
Step 4: Set a target price for non-urgent purchases
Choose a price that represents good value rather than selecting an arbitrary percentage discount. Set an alert with CamelCamelCamel, Keepa, Honey, Google, or Amazon’s available tracking feature. The exact threshold controls and notification methods differ, so confirm the settings after creating the watch.
Step 5: Check two sources for expensive purchases
For a costly item, compare Amazon’s built-in history with one independent service. This is especially worthwhile when the product has many sellers, several variants, coupons, or frequent changes in availability. Two sources will not eliminate every data limitation, but they can reveal when you are comparing different offers or relying on an incomplete picture.
Step 6: Recheck the offer when the alert arrives
An alert only means that a tracked condition was met. Before buying, confirm that:
Free tools Windows power users keep installed
One-click scans. No signup required.
- The product variation is still the one you wanted.
- The seller and condition have not changed.
- The price includes the expected shipping arrangement.
- The bundle still contains the advertised accessories.
- The product has not been replaced by a refurbished or used offer.
- The return policy, warranty, and delivery date remain acceptable.
Which tracker should you choose?
Choose CamelCamelCamel if you want simplicity
Use CamelCamelCamel when you mainly shop on Amazon, want a free price watch, and prefer a clear chart and email alert over a feature-heavy interface.
Choose Keepa if you analyze prices seriously
Use Keepa when you care about extensive historical data, marketplace changes, availability alerts, international Amazon locales, or detailed deal analysis. It is the strongest choice for power users, collectors, and resellers, provided you are comfortable learning the interface.
Choose Honey if you want help while shopping
Use Honey when you want an in-browser comparison of Amazon sellers and delivered-offer considerations, along with a short-term price-history view and Droplist alerts. Confirm that the relevant features are available in your country and account.
Choose Google Shopping if you compare stores
Use Google Shopping when you do not want to assume Amazon is the cheapest retailer. Its target-price tracking and U.S. price insights can provide useful cross-store context, although labels and tracking surfaces vary.
Use Amazon’s built-in history for a quick check
Use Amazon’s own history feature when it appears on an eligible product and you want a fast, first-party reference without adding another extension or account. Pair it with an independent tracker for expensive or complicated purchases.

Why price-history data can be misleading
Price trackers are useful, but the data is not automatically an apples-to-apples record of one unchanging offer. Amazon pages can contain multiple sellers, conditions, variations, coupons, shipping arrangements, and availability states.
Common sources of confusion include:
- Different variations: A chart may reflect a smaller capacity or a different color than the option currently selected.
- Different conditions: New, used, refurbished, and renewed products should not be treated as equivalent.
- Different sellers: The lowest marketplace price may come from a seller with different shipping, returns, or warranty terms.
- Coupons: A clipped coupon may reduce the final price without appearing in every headline price.
- Shipping and membership benefits: The cheapest item price may not be the cheapest delivered offer.
- Stock changes: A low price may disappear when the corresponding seller runs out of inventory.
- Reference-price methodology: Amazon’s displayed reference information has defined meanings and should not be read as a universal “usual price.”
For those reasons, no responsible comparison can claim that one service has the most accurate data overall. The best tool depends on what you need to compare and how much detail you are willing to inspect.
Do these tools really save a fortune?
They can save money, but the amount depends on the product and your behavior. The most defensible benefit is avoiding an unusually high purchase price or identifying a lower current offer—not a guaranteed percentage saving.
The tools are most valuable when:
- The product is expensive.
- The purchase is not urgent.
- The item has a history of meaningful price changes.
- Several Amazon sellers or retailers offer the same model.
- You are shopping during a highly promotional period.
They are less useful when the item is urgently needed, prices rarely change, the exact product is difficult to match, or shipping and condition differences dominate the price.
Bottom line
CamelCamelCamel remains the easiest dedicated Amazon tracker for most casual shoppers. Keepa is the better analytical tool, Honey is the most convenient for comparing Amazon offers in the browser, and Google Shopping is the better choice for comparing Amazon with other stores.
Before installing anything, check whether Amazon’s own price-history feature is available on the product. Then match the exact variation, inspect the total delivered cost, review the history, and set an alert when you can wait. That process can help you avoid inflated prices—but it cannot guarantee that today’s alert is the lowest price you will ever see.
